Chapter 288 - Puppet Sect Members
The middle-aged man who had brought Lin Yan to his humble residence froze for a moment then recovered completely. He did not ask at all about anything else and focused on Lin Yan's request.
“This village is located in a large suburb called Lingwu, one of the medium-sized cities in the Han Empire.” said the middle-aged man then continued, “Sorry, where my manners are. I am the leader in this small village, Canglan.”
“Lingwu City in Han Empire?” Inner Lin Yan. It was certainly no wonder that in the Saint Continent there would be an Empire. The Empire was a system of government forms that administered many of the Kingdoms under it.
That was why the Northern Mainland also formed an Empire because many Kingdoms were there even though there were only two Great Kingdoms.
“Do you have a complete map of the Saint Continent?” Asked Lin Yan staring towards Canglan.
“I don't have a complete map. I only have a rough map of the Saint Continent.” Canglan took the map from his spatial ring and gave it to Lin Yan.
Lin Yan received the map then looked at it closely. The map was indeed incomplete or rather a rough map of the Saint Continent. Only important places like the Han Empire were recorded and some major cities as well as renowned Sects.
But there were no recorded four Ancient Clans on the map even though all four of them were supreme powers in the Saint Continent. Lin Yan naturally understood that the location of the four Ancient Clans was extremely secretive. Perhaps even the Han Empire did not dare to challenge them.
Before Lin Yan asked anything else, a huge explosion occurred near the small village.
Lin Yan was slightly astonished and looked towards Canglan who looked to put on a very grim face at the moment.
“Sorry Young Master, I must excuse you first. I have business to settle.” Canglan immediately stood up and walked out of his residence hurriedly leaving Lin Yan.
Lin Yan was speechless and gazed towards the direction where the source of the explosion occurred. He circulated his spiritual energy to check what was really going on.

Cultivators who attacked the place were seen wearing certain clothes. There were six of them, there were two against Canglan and the rest were arresting some children in the village.
Just arriving, a single cultivator appeared in front of Lin Yan with a wide grin on his face.
“I didn't expect that I would find a decent young man to bring to the Sect this time!” said the cultivator while licking his lips as if staring at Lin Yan like a meal.
Lin Yan was silent hearing it. He looked up and down at the cultivator who was about 20 years old carefully. He knew that the cultivator in front of him was unable to trace his cultivation because he was suppressing him as deeply as possible. Unlike Canglan who could sense a dangerous aura from him.

“Sekte Puppet?” Lin Yan's eyes narrowed as it was true that there was a Puppet Sect recorded on the map given by Canglan. But, he was certainly not afraid at all of someone who tried to provoke him first.
“Then what if you are from the Puppet Sect?” Asked Lin Yan indifferently and directly squeezed the cultivator's right hand.

“Arrrrgghh!” A loud shout sounded after a crisp sound rang out as Lin crushed the cultivator's hand.
