Chapter 69 - The Abilities of Inscription Writing
After introducing some residences to Lin Yan, he, there was one place according to Lin Yan that was suitable even though the qi density in that place could be said to be only slightly superior to other residences that could be categorized as middle-class residences lined up by disciples.
“How much is the price of renting this residence?” Lin Yan asked as he looked at the painting image of a building that had a courtyard and it was in a fairly quiet place as there were only a few buildings not far away as well from that residence.
“I had expected that you would take this place!” The Elder said was flat but there was an implied meaning in it. The elder continued, “This residence is rented for 10,000 gold coins every month or 1,000 merit points, the price has been set and there is no negotiation.”
Lin Yan's mouth twitched slightly hearing the price because it was indeed very expensive. But, thinking back about a comfortable residence that was very rare for the disciples, it certainly must have been expensive.
“Why is this so expensive? Is the Heavenly Dragon sect planning to rob every disciple?” Huan Caiyi's question was dissatisfied because of the price.
The elder stared at Huan Caiyi with a stinky look that implied. ‘If you don't want to, then it's better to stay in a public place. Do you think the land of the Heavenly Dragon sect is subsidized by the Star Kingdom for disciples?’
Huan Caiyi grew even more annoyed at the elder who looked insulting to them earlier.
“Alright, I'll take this residence. I'll pay with gold coins.” Lin Yan instantly took out a space ring containing 60,000 gold coins for the next six months. He would not feel any loss because he had a lot of gold coins. Also, many of the objects that could be sold were also gold coins within his space ring.
Seeing Lin Yan renting the residence, Huan Caiyi could only shut up. He naturally knew that Lin Yan was extremely wealthy ever since he had taken him out of the Long Pavilion.
“Good. This is the inscription key so you can enter the building. Each building would have inscription inscriptions around it so that no other disciples would try to get inside. Be careful and do not carelessly give this inscription to other students.” Said the elder while handing over a small paper with formula to enter the barrier made from the inscription.
“Oh?” Lin Yan was slightly interested when he received that keyword. After which, Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi directly moved towards the building they had rented. As they got closer, the two sensed that there was a certain barrier near the garden of the building.
“This inscription is very weak. It would be easy to break through it when one has a certain level.” Inner Lin Yan. He was slightly dissatisfied with the barrier that was likely created by the Heaven Dragon sect inscription expert.
“Kakak, come here.” Lin Yan directly spoke as he grabbed Huan Caiyi's arm.

“This is the formula for breaking through the barrier. But chances are I'll change it later.” Said Lin Yan with a small smile.

The residence rented by Lin Yan had two floors. The first floor was the living room and there was a kitchen, bathroom and a cultivating place as well. Although it was not wide, it was enough to house five people. While the second floor was a room to rest and there was also a place to cultivate in it.
Upon entering the barrier, Lin Yan felt a greater qi density than before. He frowned instantly as he immediately realized the important thing, namely, the inscription made must have used a special formation to absorb qi from heaven and earth.

“I will rewrite the inscription in this place.” Lin Yan instantly took out a special brush and some strange liquid bottles. There were also some strange stones that gave off a certain beam and all of that was material to create a formation and barrier using inscription inscriptions.
Huan Caiyi just kept silent and looked at Lin Yan who was trying to do something.
Lin Yan immediately wrote on the strange stone at a very high speed. The brush he used had a large ten needles put together.
The speed at which Lin Yan wrote the formula to create the barrier as well as the formation was extremely fast as he had gotten used to it long ago. Although he did not know the meaning of the written words, he had memorized everything about the functions of each writing taught by his grandmother in the past.
Within nearly three hours, Lin Yan finally managed to finish the writing to create an extremely powerful barrier. He was confident that with the barrier, even the strongest Elder would not be able to break through by force.
“Huft.. finally done.” Lin Yan smiled then directly went inside the building to exchange the inscription stone with a new one.
After doing so, the previously little visible barrier was now no longer visible to the eye. But of course, the barrier is very strong.
Then Lin Yan came back out and took out some other materials. And this time, he wanted to set up a formation to absorb the qi in the sky and earth at an extremely terrifying speed.
