Dragon Monarch
Chapter 87 - Zhu Clan

The next day, Lin Yan who was absorbing the spiritual stone trembled slightly. His Qi started to appear berserk due to being on the verge of breakthrough.

Busshhh!

A large amount of Qi spread out in all directions and Lin Yan immediately opened his eyes.

“Xiantian third stage.” Lin Yan smiled slightly because it was true that the amount of spiritual stones he used was very appropriate to increase his cultivation to the next stage.

Lin Yan looked towards Huan Caiyi who was still cultivating and felt puzzled as to why the absorption of his brother's spiritual stone was much longer than himself. But, thinking back on the strange power in his body, Lin Yan simply ignored him because he felt it was related.

During the day, Huan Caiyi experienced the same thing. His Qi spread out in all directions although not as big as Lin Yan's breakthrough. He opened his eyes and smiled slightly as he had already broken through to the fifth stage Xiantian level.

“How is sister? Is there a problem with your body foundation?” Asked Lin Yan.

“Yes. I have to stabilize my body foundation if I want to do the same to break through the next stage. Otherwise, the foundation of my body will experience a slight crack that might create problems in the future,” Huan Caiyi said.

“How about you?” Ask Huan Caiyi.

“There is no problem at all with the foundation of my body. Which means, I can continue breaking through if many spiritual stones are as a resource.” Lin Yan smiled slightly because it was an incredible advantage that could make many cultivators feel envious.

“Is that true Yan'er? If so, you won't take long to reach the level of the Spirit Realm!” Huan Caiyi replied in a very excited tone.

“It's not like that too brother. This ability also seemed to have a huge flaw. Although I could constantly break through cultivation without any hindrance and side effects, it was still replaced with a resource that was much greater than other cultivators. An example is your cultivation, when breaking through to the fifth stage Xiantian level requires 500 spiritual stones. As for me to break through the third stage Xiantian level requires the same amount,” Lin Yan said.

Huan Caiyi understood a little. He also felt that the resources he had to consume to break through were even higher than those of ordinary cultivators of the same level. But Lin Yan was even bigger. Even so, still the ability of the body like that is very great according to him.

“Alright, let's go to Zhu city. Once there, I will try to break through to the fourth stage of Xiantian level one way with the remaining 3,500 spiritual stones. I'm sure that amount must be enough at this time.” Lin Yan slowly walked out of the cave followed by Huan Caiyi who immediately agreed.

Elsewhere, somewhere else, some members of the Red Scorpion group continued to search for the whereabouts of Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi but had yet to get any trace of them at all because of course they did not know where Lin Yan was really headed. With that, it was certain that Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi would be safe for now.

If previously Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi had continued on their way towards Zhu city, it was certain that their traces would have been found due to the time when the two of them were cultivating, the Spirit Realm level experts from the Red Scorpion group had reached Zhu city.

There was no news of Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi's presence that made them search for another city. However, even with this incident, it was certain that the Red Scorpion group would hunt Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi down to completion.

Also, their goal of going to Zhu city was to meet someone who issued the mission to ask for more details.

Of course the one who issued the mission was the current Patriarch of the Zhu clan.

“What does the Zhu clan look like, brother?” Lin Yan asked as he was on his way towards the Zhu clan which was on the outskirts of Zhu city.

“Klan Zhu is a mid-level clan in Star Kingdom. Many strong cultivators were from that clan but still their strength was limited as they were not as unique as the Huan clan who were cultivators with bloodline inheritances. The Zhu clan has also been around for quite a while, although they are a mid-level clan, they have survived for a very long time

“Klan Zhu is led by Patriarch Zhu Wang with a high cultivation level that is rumored to reach the Earth Realm. In the Zhu clan were also very many Spirit Realm level cultivators especially the Elders.” Huan Caiyi explained.

“If he has reached the level of the Earth Realm, why didn't he directly investigate that Dragon Valley?” Asked Lin Yan astonished.

“A Patriarch would not be able to do that, Yan'er. There are many important tasks to accomplish as a Patriarch. Also, the reason why the Zhu clan published this mission to the Heavenly Dragon sect, it was likely that some members of the Zhu clan had disappeared while trying to investigate the Dragon Valley. The Patriarch would look for a shortcut that was to publish a mission with great rewards. It was better than losing a clan member.” Reply Huan Caiyi.

Lin Yan instantly understood hearing Huan Caiyi's explanation. He also knew that his brother would make a conclusion immediately because he was a former member of the clan as well. Certainly from the former Patriarch of the Huan clan, Huan Caiyi had already been informed of just what a leader should do.

The two of them did not speak anymore and continued moving towards the Zhu clan was located. When he arrived at the clan gate, Lin Yan stared towards the top as the Zhu clan was located on a mountain that was not too high.

“Who are you? What interests are there with the Zhu clan?” The guard guard guarding the gate asked when he saw Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi.

“We came to look for more information about the mission published by Patriak.” Lin Yan took out a scroll of animal skin which was a mission detai.

“Hm?” When the gatekeeper stared at the mission, he slightly wrinkled and looked back towards Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi. But he did not protest at all because the life and death of the two children were none of his business.

“Bring the two to Patriarch.” The guard told another colleague.

Lin Yan already knew that the guard looked very indifferent to him or Huan Caiyi who was most likely to fail. However it was better according to Lin Yan as it would be more annoying if a guard tried to interfere with things.

“Come follow me.” The other guards directly guided Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi up the mountain.

After moving for not five minutes, many unique buildings of the Zhu clan were seen and the guard led Lin Yan and Huan Caiyi to the Patriarch's residence.

“This is the Zhu clan?” Inner Lin Yan. He looked around and found that many of them looked very arrogant.

“Anywhere, every member of a large clan must have many young generations who do not know how vast the world is.” Inner Lin Yan ignored all the strange gazes towards him and Huan Caiyi.
