Dragon Monarch
Chapter 99 - The Unexpected Incident

The incident made Huan Caiyi panic and rushed closer towards Lin Yan. But, as he approached, he was knocked down by a huge amount of powerful qi.

Huan Caiyi was very surprised and tried to approach once more. However, there was now a qi covering the place and blocking anyone from getting close.

The abyss was instantly filled by the same kind of qi. But this time, the qi density in that place became four to five times more than before.

Lin Yan's hand that came into contact with those ancient writings also looked charred and blood spewed out from his pores.

The blood kept dripping and covered bit by bit the ancient writing written around the altar. Lin Yan did not stop yelling at all because of the tremendous pain he felt for the first time in his life. The pain was truly unbearable as his body could explode at any moment as an enormous amount of qi permeated every single cell in his body.

“Yan'er!” Huan Caiyi shouted hysterically at the sight of his little sister's condition. He was crying because he could do nothing. He continued to try to break down the qi that prevented him from entering but still could not.

When Lin Yan's blood had covered all those ancient writings, a great shock occurred once again.

This time the Dragon Valley trembled even harder than before. The altar where the dragon skin was placed slowly descended down.

The moment that black lightning struck everywhere towards the dragon skin that was being carried by the altar descending down.

After entering completely, the shaking stopped within a few seconds and the lightning striking stopped. A short while later, a shock occurred once more and a new altar slowly rose to the surface.

The skin of the previous dragon that was on the altar disappeared was replaced by a small altar with a 2-meter-high rectangular stone pillar that appeared.

Zhep!

The pillars stopped shining and Lin Yan's hand slipped from the ancient writings.

Blug up!

Lin Yan instantly fell down and was no longer conscious. His right hand looked charred and a part of his body seemed to still be clinging to a sizable amount of blood.also, the qi covering where Lin Yan was located had completely vanished.

“Yan'er!” Shouted Huan Caiyi with a cry. He immediately moved because there was no longer a barrier preventing him from approaching. When it reached the place where Lin Yan was, Huan Caiyi's body trembled violently at the sight of his little sister's condition.

Huan Caiyi immediately checked Lin Yan's breath out of fear that his sister would just die.

After checking, Huan Caiyi knew that Lin Yan was still alive and directly took out many objects from his spatial ring to give first aid to Lin Yan.

Meanwhile, Liubo, Gozu and Dongzha were slightly frightened as an extremely strong tremor and lightning struck around the ravine.

“What's going on?” Shouted Liubo slightly afraid of the phenomenon.

“If you ask me, who am I asking?” Gozu who did not know how to respond, asked back in an unhappy tone. His body was also trembling slightly as there was an incredible qi that looked like it was suppressing them before.

The three stopped within a few minutes and heaved a sigh of relief as no other phenomenon had happened again.

“Origin of the phenomenon must be from down there. Do we have to get down?” Ask Liubo.

“Are you crazy? Didn't you see what happened before? We could die down there!” Shouted Gozu.

“Wait a minute, if it's just a phenomenon, isn't it possible that something has appeared down there? Could it be the treasure of the previous owner of this place?” Ask Dongzha.

“Yes. I made such a prediction. We have lost track of the two children. Chances are both of them are currently down there.” Liubo nodded in agreement.

“Better we don't go in there. After all, those two children will definitely climb up here. We better wait for him.” Gozu gives the best advice.

Liubo and Dongzha thought for a moment and felt it was a better decision. If both are not visible, it means that something in that place is very dangerous. Better to find them safe.

Outside of the Dragon Valley, the Patriarch of the Zhu clan along with several other Elders immediately moved as he had been waiting for something to happen in the Dragon Valley.

All of them were high-level clan members deployed by the Patriarch to enter the Dragon Valley.

Although it was only speculation, the Patriarch of the Zhu clan would not miss the opportunity to look because he felt that the legacy of the main Zhu clan had appeared. As a branch clan, all of them naturally felt that the legacy that existed in the Dragon valley was theirs.

When it reached the outskirts of the Dragon Valley, the Patriarch of the Zhu clan paused for a moment and all the Elders were the same.

“Notes left by Patriarchs in ancient times are indeed true. We as members of the branch clan will one day enjoy the ultimate legacy when the phenomenon occurs. The patriarch in ancient times said that when the legacy of the Zhu clan was seen, that was when our Zhu clan reached new heights! This must have been the times that the Patriarch had said in the past! Come on, investigate everything in there!” The patriarch of the Zhu clan wasted no time and went straight inside followed by all the Elders.

They all did not know that it was merely speculation from the former Patriarch of the Zhu clan before. They were not aware that all of them did not even have the slightest bloodline of the ancient Zhu clan because from the very beginning, they did not know that they had, the Zhu clan branch was only established from a group of ordinary people to deter anyone from entering into the Dragon Valley.

If they had the original bloodline of the ancient Zhu clan, even if they were few, the original Zhu clan would definitely take them away from that place when the waiting time had arrived.

Time continued to pass, at this time Huan Caiyi was taking care of the unconscious Lin Yan carefully. His face was gloomy at all times for not expecting that such an event would happen. He felt regret from time to time for not being able to protect his sister when she was in danger. He felt very weak at this moment and was crying all the time.

“No.. not like this!” Huan Caiyi clenched his hands tightly while looking at Lin Yan who was still unconscious.

Lin Yan's current condition had started to stabilize even though Huan Caiyi did not know when his younger brother would roar.

“I must become stronger so that an event like this does not happen again!” Huan Caiyi with his extremely strong willpower immediately sat down cross-legged and absorbed the qi present in the air at an extremely high speed. This was also an opportunity for him to increase his strength because the qi in that place was about five times denser than before.
