Ch 68 - Don't Run From Me

A voice from the information service indicates that our aircraft is ready for boarding. Since We booked the first class ticket, We got the privilege of entering the plane earlier than other passengers.

First class space is very different from economic space. There are only 4 seats in each row. One seat each by the window, and two in the middle. Alex put us both, in two seats in the middle. While he sat in a chair by the window.

Alex made sure we both sat down comfortably.

"Need a pillow or a blanket?"

"I want a pillow." Diana. Alex looked at me, I shook my head.

"Is there anything else?"

"Nothing is."

Alex called the cabin crew and ordered this. Then he took the pillow and blanket from the cabin crew's hands. He lowered our seats and placed a pillow on Diana's chair. Make Diana's position as comfortable as possible. He raised the baffle so we have our own privacy space. After that he turned to my chair, did the same and covered me.

"Wanna watch TV?"

"No."

"Want a snack? Or drinks?"

"No."

"Not hungry? He usually eats a lot." Alex stroked my stomach. I shook my head.

"You're okay to say yes."

"Yes." Yeah."

"Yes, rest yes. Cup..." Alex kissed my forehead and stroked my stomach. I automatically glanced next to me. It was fortunate that the barrier had already been raised, so Diana did not see that.

Alex returned to his chair while still looking at me. I quickly closed my eyes. I'm afraid Diana saw us. It's very dangerous. Alex is really reckless.

The journey from Jakarta to Surabaya is in less than two hours. Arriving in Surabaya, we are still on a plane to my city.

By late afternoon, we had already landed in our city. One of the small towns in East Java. We have been waiting for Alex's family driver.

Alex decided to take me first. Arriving at Dad's house, Alex helped me drop my suitcase.

"I took Diana first. When you're done, I'll be back here. Greetings to Mom and Dad." Alex spoke while stroking my head and gave me a brief kiss on the forehead. I spontaneously drifted away, for fear that Diana might see Us.

"Part yourself well. Don't be naughty." Alex gave me his hand. I kissed his hand. He pulled my hair back for a while, then got back in the car. I saw the car until it disappeared from view.

"Ahh good to be Diana. Can you meet Alex's family? When can I be like that?" Unknowingly I muttered and directly hit my own mouth.

"Not to envy Khansa. Diana deserved it. She's Alex's legal wife. You're just Siri's wife, you better accept your fate well." I took a deep breath.

I threw away my sadness and put on a cheerful face. My parents must not know that I am sad. I always have to be happy in front of them.

I saw my house seem closed. There's no motorbike or Dad's pick-up car in the garage. Is there no one at home?

"Assalamu'alaikum's chat... Dad, Mum... It's Khansa... Assalamu'alaikum..." I tried to scream from the front of the fence, but I didn't get an answer. After several attempts but no response, I finally decided to call.

I called Mom and Dad, but the number was always out of reach. I tried calling Fian, but not in the lift-up. Looks like Fian is still mad at me?

Almost half an hour I waited in front of the house without certainty. The neighbors started to look at me with curious eyes. They watch me from top to bottom. Their eyes always end in my stomach. I want to cover my distended stomach.

Arriving at the hotel, I booked a regular room and broke down. I saw a clock on the wall. The time is still three in the afternoon, while Dino's wedding is seven in the evening. I still have four hours to rest.

I'm really tired. I completely forgot to tell Alex about where I am right now. I lay in bed and fell asleep.

I woke up when I heard the sound of Adzan sneaking into my room. I opened my eyes and stared at the clock on the wall. It was seven o'clock at night.

"Yes my. It's seven o'clock. I need to get ready!" I took a quick shower and dressed up.

Dino's wedding reception was held at a hotel not far from my hotel. The hotel offers a shuttle service. Without a second thought, I accepted the offer and headed towards the reception location. In a hurry, I completely forgot my phone. I just brought my wallet.

Fifteen minutes later, I arrived at the scene. The reception was held in the hotel hall located on the second floor.

"Thank you sir." I gave tips.

"Please let me know when it's over, ma'am. I'll pick you back up."

"Yes sir, thank you." I got out of the car and was preparing to enter the hotel when I felt someone pull my hand violently.

"Khanza!! Where have you been?!!" I was dealing with a visibly wrathful Alex. His hair was disheveled, his eyes were red and he smelled cigarettes from his mouth.

"My aircrafts!! Where have you been?!!" Alex snapped at me and grabbed both of my shoulders, shaking my body. I was still too surprised to be able to respond to his words.

"I'm almost crazy looking for you!! I'm looking for you at Dad's house, but you're not there!! I called you, but my number is off!! You really want to leave me?!! You want to make me die?!! Answer Khansa!!" Alex was frustrated. I'm still silent. I digest Alex's words well. Then I began to understand what the man meant.

I completely forgot to give him the news, that I'm not at Dad's house but at the hotel. And, my phone missed. It's a shame Alex couldn't reach me. But I think Alex's reaction was too much. Where could I possibly be accused of abandoning him?

Alex hugged my body tightly.

"Don't leave me." whispered in a raucous voice. His body seemed to shake. Maybe holding back the anger? I patted her on the back, trying to make her anger subside.

After a moment of hugging me, Alex stretched her arms and looked at me. His hand was still holding mine, as if afraid I might run away from him.

"Where are you from? Where were you for these few hours? Why is your phone not active?" Alex asked while mastering emotions, it seemed like he was keeping his emotions in check to keep me from being afraid.

"I stayed at the R*yal hotel. The lamban house. I called Mom's Dad, but the number was out of reach. I called Fian, but it wasn't picked up..."

"Why not call me right away? I can pick you up right away..."

"But you still have Diana Mas..."

"Why didn't you get to the hotel tell me? Why is your phone not active? Do you know how crazy I am?! I thought you left me Khansa!!" Alex took a deep breath. His face was not calm.

"I went to your house, but your house was closed. I called you and your family, but all the numbers couldn't be reached. You brought your clothes. Can you imagine my feelings?! I'm afraid your family took you away from me..." Alex took a deep breath. He held me back in his arms.

"Don't try to run away from me Khansa. You know, even to the ends of the world I'll be looking for you. Don't even think about leaving me, okay?"

"What are you doing?" A familiar voice disturbed us. I peeked out from behind Alex's back. And... I saw Diana walking towards Us!
