Sharing Love: Winning Without Love

Sharing Love: Winning Without Love
The Graduation Day

Days change days, weeks change weeks, until the month changes months. Khaira finished his studies in Manchester.

Not only took a solid lecture, the thesis he worked on was successfully completed. During the Thesis, Radit did not even hesitate to help Khaira just read a reference book and Khaira type it on a laptop or vice versa Radit who types on a laptop and Khaira who reads to dictate it.

This time Khaira really felt the beautiful cooperation between husband and wife. If in the past, Khaira was working on her own script in a quiet home atmosphere, this time there is Radit who stands by 24 hours with her. As if never tired and also complaining, Radit really became a support system for Khaira.

"So today is ready?" tanya Radit while paying attention to the appearance of Khaira who is so beautiful wearing a pink Kebaya combined with a batik skirt made sarimbitan with a shirt worn by Radit.

"I deg-degan anyway Mas, how is my hair is neat yet this? I'm just self-arranging, neat no hell?" khaira asked as she steadied herself in front of the mirror.

Radit scanned his wife's appearance from top to bottom. "If I think so. Perfect! Pretty."

Khaira smiled at the compliment from her husband. "Thank you, Maskuw...."

Radit then put the toga shirt in his bag. The toga plan will only be used when they have arrived at the University of Manchester.

If they usually go to campus on foot, then today they prefer to book a taxi that can take them to the front of the campus.

Once on the campus grounds, Khaira put on her toga shirt first. The feelings of happiness and happiness are mixed into one. So did Radit, he was so happy with his wife's achievement.

"Well, you wanna come in now?" Radit stretched out one hand to hold Khaira's hand.

Khaira nodded, then received a helping hand from her husband. "Mas, you know what?"

"Hmm, why?" ask Radit.

"I'm proud to be able to wear kebaya and batik while abroad. Although graduates are free to wear anything, the important thing is toga. I want to wear a kebaya. Keep kebaya that Mother Ranti sent is also good and fit in my body." Khaira told me while stepping into the building held graduation by holding tightly the arms of her husband.

Radit smiles. "Yes, I'm also proud to wear batik here. How is the graduation going, darling? Kayak in Indonesia?" ask Radit.

"Enggak Mas, here the graduation event is shorter than in Indonesia only 1 hour and 30 minutes. The process is that graduates enter the building to fill the bench according to the sequence number. After that invited guests and families of graduates enter also occupy a special bench invited guests. Not for long" said Khaira.

Yes, the graduation procession abroad is indeed shorter than the graduation procession event in Indonesia which can take up to five hours. Abroad, each faculty can hold its own graduation event, so that not all faculties like in Indonesia. In addition, graduation time also takes place twice a year, summer graduation (Summer Graduation) and winter graduation (Winter Graduation).

Khaira finally marched with her friends from the Faculty of Education before entering the graduation building. Radit was sitting on the guest bench.

At exactly 10 a.m., the musicians entered the building, taking place at the top of the stage. They sat facing invited guests and graduates. After the musician prepared, the representatives of the campus parties entered the room accompanied by orchestra music that sounded so beautiful and magnificent. The music flow to make the atmosphere in the hall building feel solemn.

The procession continues with the campus parties who fill the front seats facing all invited guests and graduates. The event was started by an MC who is a representative of the campus. Then followed by a short speech where the campus parties give a really short and non-verbal welcome, on average they only give a speech of no more than 10 minutes. Awarded honoris causa doctorate. Brief welcome award recipient honoris causa doctorate.

Until finally the event that awaited Radit arrived, when Khaira entered the graduation building. His wife lined up neatly with other graduates. A precious moment and day, Radit to shed tears saw the Wife standing in front as a graduate of one of the best Universities in the Land of Queen Elisabeth.

After all the names of graduates have been mentioned and all have advanced together, shake hands, so the graduates will go to the committee table on the left and right side of the stage to take the certificate and transcripts of grades and class books (thin), then return to the seat.

The series of graduation events ended when all campus representatives who had been sitting on the stage will go down and out of the building. Followed by graduates walking towards the stage from the right and left sides and then out through the middle then out of the building accompanied by beautiful and magnificent orchestra music.

Exactly 1 hour and 30 minutes of graduation has ended. Really a short time, not terribly short, but very memorable.

At this graduation, Khaira graduated with her two best friends Adam and Tina. Only Mark is still relaxed in his college days.

"Congratulations guys, you're all graduating" said Mark, who was standing outside the building with Radit. The London native hugged his three best friends. "You guys really left me alone huh" said the blonde-haired man.

"Sorry Mark, we need to get it done faster. Our family is waiting." said Tina while patting her best friend's back.

"If you are free, come to Indonesia, Mark. We'd be happy if one day you could go there." said Khaira, who is also owned by Radit.

"Khai, one day come to my country also in India. I will cook Parata Kol and Nasi Briyani specifically for you. You have to go there, Khai." said Tina who now hugs Khaira.

Khaira smiled, "Hopefully yes Tina." she replied.

"So when are you going back to your country? I'm not asking you, Mark, because you're not going anywhere." asked Adam and teased Mark who was so comfortable living in Manchester.

Tina replied, "i'll be back in India tomorrow, Adam."

"I'm Adam's day after, go to Jakarta. You only need 2 hours to fly from Singapore to Jakarta." Khaira spoke to Adam, inviting him to visit Jakarta.

Radit nodded in agreement. "Yes, come to Jakarta" he said, patting Adam on the back.

"Alright, because it's a precious moment. Let's take a picture together. I'll take your portraits" Radit said and take portraits of the four friends.

Finally Khaira, Tina, Adam, and Mark embrace and smile at Radit.

"Smile yes. One... Two... Three..."

The camera lens shot managed to shoot the four of them.

"Remember every time we spend together. Friends to survive!" khaira said with a face full of happiness.
