Both Adi's hands and feet began to feel heavy. Every acrobatic move he used to make began to go awry as he held an invisible weight: exhaustion. How many hundred years had it been since he felt this helpless? His explosive anger could no longer give him any extra strength.
Adi enveloped himself with ice and wind so that the physis of the formskitter did not hit his own physique. But his power was used up to make that protection. Adi was also very careful because if he was hit by the formskitter attack once, his fate was exhausted already. He did not even have time to worry about the condition of Harsa and her other friends.
The formskitter stood in the middle of the open field and moved his physis to find a gap to penetrate Adi's protection. Meanwhile, Adi threw a sharp ice spear at the formskitter when he had the chance. Too bad all Adi attacks can be avoided easily. In the back of his head, Adi could feel the formskitter body parts scattered around him. He wouldn't be surprised if that part of the body was an external eye watching him from all directions.
Adi gathered his strength he created dark black clouds in the sky. With his left hand, he threw the lightning element over those black clouds. Instantly a rain of lightning descended and struck the formskitter. However, before Adi's giant lightning can hit the core, the formskitter makes new flesh that protects the core. Each time the layer of flesh burned was scorched, another layer was formed.
"Damn it!!!" Shouted Adi panting.
The formskitter again began to form its body again. Adi. How much physics does the formskitter actually have?
Desperation slowly began to slip into his heart. Adi shook his head. I can't give up! Not after hundreds of years have I waited for a chance at revenge! The mind is in the heart. He tried to give strength to himself.
Despite that, Adi gave up finishing off the formskitter in one strike. As her brain thought hard on how she could touch the core of the formskitter, Adi added a layer of lightning elements beyond her ice element. He threw himself into the black clouds in the sky that he made. Adi's body moves just as fast as lightning.
He went all over the formskitter's external spies and destroyed it before the formskitter reacted. He did all of this at such a high speed that almost simultaneously. Adi wanted to create a second of blind spot before attacking the formskitter all-out.
Opportunity is created too. The formskitter did not have time to regenerate its hovering spies. Without wasting this chance, Adi darted out with his sword, straight towards the formskitter. Adi's thin blade split the core of the formskitter. Adi couldn't breathe until he saw if the formskitter had disappeared completely.
From his aura, he could feel that the formskitter was still alive. Looking back, Adi's teeth bully in frustration when the core of the formskitter is still not destroyed. His incision of Adi's sword only scratched the core of the formskitter. The core of the formskitter was vibrating like it was about to break, until suddenly the core of the formskitter stopped moving. Then, from there, grew the formskitter flesh again.
“SIAL!” Gertak Adi is desperate. Every inch of his muscle felt like it was about to break. He did not have the energy to launch his attack anymore. Adi must recover before the formskitter's body is re-formed.
The sky above them was still dark cloudy. The thunderbolts snatched mercilessly. He had exerted almost all of his strength for those deadly magic. Now, the weather movement around him was already out of his control. Unknowingly, he had bewitched the weather around him in such a way as to destroy the formskitter. Adi's desperate. Already he failed to destroy the formskitter, he could also unknowingly destroy a single city in the Material World.
Adi's legs shook and his heart too as he felt the formskitter's physis begin to re-form. Even before his body was reshaped, the formskitter launched its physi. Without eyes, he launched his deadly attack. The attack of the physis was so wide and powerful.
Adi's eyes glazed over, is this what her mother felt just before she died?
Adi's mind was cut off when a wall of earth appeared in front of him. That wall of earth blocked the formskitter from touching Adi, from destroying Kai Adi from the inside. From behind him, Harsa's hand grabbed Adi's arm, pulling him to move.
“Kak Adi!! Don't be dumb!” karsa with a worried face.
Behind Adi, Harsa, Kriya, and Duke Aakil had just entered from the Material World. It was Kriyalah, who saved Adi's life by raising the wall of the land. Harsa holds Adi and runs away from the formskitter's range. They're gathering in the back. They had little time to nod before the formskitter was completely recovered.
"All of you. Even the Duke.." Said Adi limp.
"Good thing we came at the right time." Harsa said really relieved.
"Even if you die?" Ask Kriya sarcasm.
"Even if I die." Adi insists.
"Well, but it's really sad that you're really dead." The Duke of Empathy. "This. You still want to fight, right?" Ask while extending a hand.
Adi nodded and welcomed the Duke's hand without knowing what he was offering. Suddenly, Adi's body felt refreshed. The fatigue of the muscles he worked on was gone already. Adi's condition like just finished waking up after a long break, but have not eaten. Physis Adi dies into Adi's body and bewitches something in his body. Just like the black-hooded formskitter did. Of course, what the Duke did was not devastating. In fact, the physis that flowed from his hands provided relief in Adi's body.
"Wow…." Adi said amazed. “What did you just do?”
"I just got rid of the hormones in your body that make you feel tired. Remember, your body is exhausted. If you force it even further, you will get injured.” Duke of Aakil.
“I never imagined I'd get out of this fight unharmed.” Answer Adi.
“So, how is the situation now?” ask Kriya.
“I have injured the core formskitter, but not enough to destroy it.” Adi said while looking at the formskitter it had started to re-form. Neither the mask nor his black robe had been destroyed due to Adi's attack. Now, when his body had formed, there were no more hoods and masks hiding the horrors of the formskitter's body.
Muscles of an unnatural magnitude are stamped from behind his skin that has not been formed perfectly. There were two pairs of eyes on that head that protruded out. The eyeball was so prominent that it could swirl a hundred and eighty degrees. One pair in front and one pair in back. His wide mouth was like being torn from one ear to another.
Both arms are unnatural because of their large muscles. His fingers were more like claws. His long, sharp nails were hard as if they were made of bones. And so are his legs. His claws can grip and slash. Harsa gulped looking at her monstrous figure and her suppressing aura.
“The recovery is not as fast as before.” Comment Adi.
“Is that just your defense?” ask Harsa unsure.
Kriya. “Ngak, Sa. You back off if you're a coward!” His ejek.
“Yeah, please you guys face that formskitter!” Shouted Duke Aakil while running backwards.
“What?” Harsa is panicking. “Are you not going to help us?!”
“I'm not a fighter!” Duke Aakil defended himself. “Don't worry, if you guys get hurt, I will definitely heal you guys!”
“Back of it, watch out! We must not let the Duke get hurt!” Adi said as he pulled back his flat sword, ready for the second half.
