At the end of their play, Adi decides to join Harsa back to his house in Erik's car.
“You don't need to go back to Drestha, direct?” erik asked in surprise too. He did not know that Adi was in the material world.
“Actually yes, but very tired, Dad. I stayed home first, right? Tomorrow we return to Drestha.” Adi said pleading while sitting on the back bench of the car .
“Haha, of course. My house is also.”
Harsa sat in the front seat of the car. “Why tired, brother? Tired girlfriendana?” Temptation Harsa.
Adi sat up straight and was alert. “What? What do you mean?”
“Come, sis! Ngaku. What was going on with Aster both? Lastly, I think Adi's sister will take me if you want to teach Aster.”
“Well, if I invite you, you can come?” Adi asked back.
“No, but still! I'm surprised to know. Mergokin you two so.”
“I'm just helping him learn, kok.”
“Although Adi is tired again, until you do not want to go back to Drestha?” Harsa kept pressing.
“What’ the hell do you want? Ja. Then what if I really like Asater? Chat with him fun.” I'm Adi. He gave up on Harsa's childish behavior. “You want to tease me about that?”
”Yes, dong. Cieee.” Harsa said triumphantly.
“This apaan. I haven't heard. Aster is your friend who often comes home to learn sihr?” erik asked confusedly.
“Yes, Pa! Geez, since when, anyway?” ask Harsa curiously.
“Soven since last year. In the past, while still training together, I once spoke at length with Aster. Somehow I could have been more open after she told me that she lost both her parents, but I usually wasn't like that. You may not know because you have slept first due to fatigue at that time.” Adi's Story.
“Wooohh.” Harsa nodded. “But honestly I'm shocked, you know. In part why you can feel interested with Aster.”
“Why not? He is passionate about magic, talented, and good to talk to. I love its unyielding nature.” Adi sighed for a moment. “But to be honest, I feel bad. I myself am not sure where to take this relationship.”
Harsa's face turned bad. “Why? Because Aster is human?”
“... Yes.” Adi said hesitatingly. “He probably won't live to ten decades right? But, that's not it either. He is under two decades old. It feels strange with people who are dimurnya much different from me, but he also already feels very mature.”
“Humans mature faster than you think.” Erik said. “I experienced it myself. The first time with Darma, I also initially thought he knew nothing, but it turned out that he was more responsible than I thought. My guess is that people become adults not only because of age, but because of the expectations of the surrounding community.”
“How do you think about this?” ask Adi. His voice was small and low.
“I won't ban you because I myself married a human.” Said Erik quickly. “I can only give you advice. If you are going to be in a relationship with him, then you should think about enjoying the moment. I know you must be terrified of falling in love with someone who will be gone from your life in seven or eight decades' time, but if you stop thinking about it, everything will be fine
“Then how about the time comes?” ask Adi in a quieter voice.
“You should rotate your focus to deal with that grief later.” Said Erik. “I say this, because I myself feel unprepared no matter how many times I face loss. So I think, ready not to be ready when they leave, I have to face it at that moment. If you think about it now, it will be stressful yourself.”
“Yeah, brother. I don't think you'll seriously fall in love with Aster.” Said Harsa began to regret her wanting to tease Adi ever since she felt a real sense of unease from her brother.
“Ah, yes. One more thing. Don't expect a child with him.” Added Erik.
“Yes, geez, Pa. That's a long way.” Harsa. “What's really why? What's the problem with the child?” Harsa asked as she pointed to herself.
“You are quite special know.” Adi answered briefly, then let Harsa think for herself. ”Yes, it's a distance, Dad. I was just thinking whether I want to seriously start a relationship or not.”
“Instead it. How long do you think you can date a human being? You have to think the relationship will turn into a marriage from now on because I think you will not be ready for it if it is just lived.” Erik glanced at Harsa and added context. “Typically, Kasarewang spent approximately ten decades courting before marriage. But, you can't be like that with humans, Di. They mature faster, yes. If you're serious about this child, think about it right now, because that means at least, a decade from now, you should be getting ready to marry him. Ten more years, Aster is twenty-seven, right?”
“Twenty-eight. Recently her birthday.” Adi Correction.
“Wow, I don't know that. I'm not good.” Comment Harsa. “I haven't said happy birthday to him.”
Then Adi's eyes blinked while his brain was tired of processing Adi's words. “Wait a minute, getting married in a decade?! Isn't it too fast?”
“Ngak, In. I was also shocked to death when I heard from Darma how quickly humans go through relationships before marriage. You have to be ready for their fast life. You have to be serious from now on because I don't want you to waste ten years of someone's life thinking you're not wrong because for you a decade is a fast time. A decade is a long and precious time for a human being. I learned the painful way with Darma. After more than half a decade of dating Darma first, we had a big fight because he thought I was only ‘-main’ with him. He thought so because even though I never talked about a serious relationship like marriage. Of course, I was confused because I still love him and we have no problem. Honestly, the time was shocked and not ready for the wedding. Finally I asked for another year to get ready, even though that one year was too long for him and too fast for me. I just don't want you to experience the same thing.”
Adi did not reply to Erik's advice, until Erik added. “I don't want to scold you. I just want to share life experiences.”
“I understand, Well.” Adi said. “So, it's normal to have a relationship at the age of her who is only eighteen?” Adi is still hesitant because Kasarewang is usually considered an adult after the age of three decades.
“For humans, yes. It took them a few more years to be ready for the wedding, of course. Lookyour sister. This age has a crush on people.”
Harsa who was busy chat immediately scowled. “Pa! Don't you bother me!”
Adi immediately smiled cynically. “Huh? What was with the girl you were with? What's her name, Elis?” He's itching to get back at Harsa.
“Kak!” Harsa Protests, Harsa Protests,
“Haha, already! Just ngaku. It looks so much from the way you look at it!” Adi said with a laugh.
Harsa is upset. “Eh, but remember yes brother. Aster is my best friend, so don't break his heart.”
“Yes, I get it.” Adi said then immersed in his mind.
“But, if Brother Adi wants to be serious with Aster I agree, kok.” Add Harsa with a smile.
“Really?” Ask Adi.
“Serious. Papa also definitely won't ban it, right?” ask Harsa confirm.
“Ya, if from his son it looks good.”
Adi smiled slightly hearing their words. “I need to ponder this first.” Said seriously. “One decade yes...”.
