The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
Formskitter

Gilda's passion to avenge the formskitter-human organization is contagious to Harsa. However, coming home from school, Harsa's anxiety overcame her. Along the way home, he thought he would be attacked again by formskitters. He widened his aura as far as possible, wary of any formskitter arrival. Today, Harsa can better understand why Adi used to be so paranoid with formskitter.

Attacked suddenly, attacked by formskitters who were undeflected by his aura, and attacked by formskitters who were much stronger than himself. Such shadows lodged in his head until his energy was consumed by worry.

Harsa sits limp on the living room couch until Erik returns home. One look, Erik knew his son was not excited. Erik sat down next to him and patted Harsa on the thigh.

“Woahh.” The boy shouted in surprise.

“What's up?” ask Erik.

Harsa looked at her father with tired eyes. “I'm tired. No, no. Today there's Kasarewang at school, and he said he and the magic police will work together to protect me from that organization.”

“Finally.” Erik said to Harsa with a sigh of relief. “They work together too.”

Alis Harsa. He asked for an explanation.

Erik's left shoulder. “I tried to get them to work together about two hundred years ago. At that time the magic police force was still in the form of a community. Good to hear they're protecting you now. They should have done that a long time ago.”

“Now I understand why Adi was so afraid of formskitter.”

“Ya.” Erik answered briefly.

“But to be honest, Pa. I'm tired. I feel tired of always having to be vigilant when will be attacked formskitter.”

“Ya, you've said that before.” Erik said understandingly. “Would you believe that I said I didn't want you to experience all this?”

“Yes, of course. But I'm curious, Pa. Actually why Kasarewang and formskitter fight each other?” Harsa thought if only he had a clear reason, maybe he could survive these endless battles.

“War between formskitter and Kasarewang has happened since the world was created, Sa. It's been instinct formskitter to hurt us.”

“Yes. Why do formskitters have such instincts? Is there no way to stop fighting with formskitter?”

“Do you understand what formskitter really is?” asked Erik.

Harsa surprised. “Eee.. They are clearly living beings. I mean, they move..” Harsa said start guessing. The experience when he first fought the formskitter alone flashed through his head. ”They are made of magic. They appeared after a long time of feeling the magic and aura of Kasarewang…. Am I right?” harsa asked doubtfully as Erik continued to nod but gave her no clarity.

“Not wrong, really. I think you have met formskitter for a long time to guess correctly.” Erik. “My question, if they are formed from magic, means does anyone bewitch them?”

“Ya.” Harsa answered, but was immediately confused. “I mean papa, anyone make formskitter?”

Erik nodded. “There is one creature that embodies one mantra from the Edict of Hdiup. Spells that create formskitter around the world wherever they detect Kasarewang magic. The spell creates a ferocious formskitter of the surrounding physis automatically. After trillions of years, that formskitter continues to evolve into increasingly smarter.”

“Triliyunan..” Harsa muttered to herself. “Can no one get rid of the spell? Besides why is there such a spell?!”

Erik smiled at the enthusiasm of his son. ”Isn't the question more precise who made such a spell?”

“Uhhh... Magic creatures?”

“I can't imagine a magical beast working such a complex spell.” Harsa. “Already, Pa. Please just tell me. I don't understand anything.”

“The spell was made by something like Kasarewang, but it wasn't. Trillions of years ago, when the Material World was just beginning to be created, and the first Kasarewang was just formed by the gods. Kasarewang was the first human to learn magic directly from a god. But we're not the last. There are other creatures that were taught magic by the gods. Magical beast.”

“Man?”

“Yes, little of them.” Erik answered and continued his story.

“The second disciple of the gods learned magic as well and he was very talented. In a short time he could master all four decrees. Material decrees, abstract decrees, spatial decrees, and especially living decrees. He mastered the living edict until he could create a living being of his own. However, he did not want to follow the orders of the gods. He rebelled, so the gods rejected him. Instead, the gods liked Kasarewang and believed Kasarewang that we can determine when our deaths, so yaa…. You could say we are immortal. The second student didn't get it. He lived for a long time and was full of self-sufficiency in Kasarewang. The second disciple eventually died, but his grudge persisted until now, in the form of a spell he created. There was not a single Kasarewang who so mastered the Life Decree to decipher the spell and stop it. So, as of now, we continue to fight against fromskitter.”

Erik stopped his story there. He let Harsa absorb the entire information within a few minutes. Harsa was silent.

“Murid second it... Did he die of old age?”

Erik. “There is a legend that tells about one hero. Long existed before the kingdom of Kasareawan was formed. He defeated the second disciple in one great war that caused the earth's climate change forever. The second student is believed to have died that day.”

“Hmm. Why are all these stories not written in the book History of the Royal Family Kasarewang?” ask Harsa wonder.

“Because all this happened before the kingdom of Kasarewang was formed. Some Kasarewang believe this is a real event. Some people just think the story is a myth. Usually this story is passed down from generation to generation after generation of the family. Well, if that family believes in that myth.”

“How about dad?”

“Ya, pretty fair explanation for me.” Erik answered briefly. “You?”

“I still do not want to accept the fact that we are fighting without a main enemy.” Harsa said scowling.

Erik smiled. “I didn't tell you from the beginning because I wanted to delay you from being involved in this war for so long.”

“Iya, thanks, Pa.” says Harsa flat.

“I don't know if anyone can encourage you. This war is eternal. War between Kasarewang and Formskitter. But this war does not mean it does not stop. I can look ahead clearly. If this war is going to be over.”

“Where?” ask Harsa flat.

“In the end, I'm sure the gods will cast that spell. Then Kasarewang will stay in the Spirit Duinia with those who have died.” Erik's story continues.

Harsa looked at her father who was looking in the distance. She realizes that her father is waiting to be reunited with Adi's mother. “Man too?”

Erik was surprised. “Man also.” He patted Harsa on the shoulder and added. “You will win this war.”
