The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
School End Exams (2)

The days before the intensive learning of the school took place very peacefully. Peace, as many as third grade High School students who will face the final exam and UTBK. Harsa enjoys days where she is tormented with physics, mathematics, and biology problems, rather than worrying about formskitters. Moreover, she enjoys seeing her tormented friends, especially Barasa, who is very depressed with UTBK.

Suddenly, the conversation about the dream campus became everyday food. While Elis was busy looking around for scholarships for schools abroad, Barasa did the most sought-after job research ten years into the future. On that basis, Barasa determined the purpose of his campus.

“You are sure to choose a major based on job vacancies only? What about your interests?” harsa asked in doubt when she heard the choice of Barasa majors. First choice, information technology, second choice, accounting, third psychology. “Three of these options do not connect at all.”

“I don't really care about that. Anyway later the important thing I can work.” Break up Barasa firmly. “Also if you want to choose the lessons I like, I do not like all!”

“Hahaha! You are like that, yes!” Elis was amused. “What if you are, Sa?”

“I might want to take physics because I like physics, although it often tortures, anyway.” Harsa said with a laugh. “But I don't know.. I'm still upset to learn where.”

“If Gilda?”

Gilda almost choked on hearing the question. He knows nothing about the world of college. Gilda just laughed. “Just be sure.”

Not felt, they were intensive learning events to stay at the school. Harsa prepared her clothes and book excitedly. The intensive learning on the weekends that their teachers provide is exhausting, difficult, and brain draining. But Harsa enjoyed every moment. She enjoys studying with friends more than being alone. It feels like playing rather than learning. Harsa also enjoyed the expressions of fighting power from Barasa and the other friends. Their learning spirit is contagious to Harsa.

Half of their classes at the school were emptied into the girls' rooms, while all the boys slept in the hall. Sleeping bags lined up like they lived in mes. Not the most ideal stay, but Harsa enjoys out-of-the-box events. Therefore, even though their teachers had just roasted their brains (figuratively of course), Harsa's mood was still good that night. Unfortunately his friends are too tired to respond to Harsa's spirit. They refused to talk to him because they wanted to go to bed so that the night was over.

Be Harsa lying in her sleeping bag with her eyes open staring at the ceiling of the hall. Although he was tired, he could not sleep. Partly because of the spirit of chatting with friends, partly because of sleeping in a new place, partly because of his vigilance of formskitter attacks.

Through her aura, Harsa can feel the movement of Edi and Lisa. They seem to split the watch. Lisa seems to be asleep on the first floor of the school, while Edi is taking a walk in the parking lot. Meanwhile, Gilda was silent among the girls. Harsa doesn't know Gilda is asleep or conscious, but she's sure Gilda won't let her guard down until formskitter arrives.

Giving up on sleep, Harsa walked out of the hall towards the bathroom. He walked slowly so as not to have to return to the hall. The cold wind of the night made Harsa more aware. Thankfully, he was out wearing a jacket.  He noticed the twinkling of the stars in the night sky as he walked in the open corridors of the school. Harper wants to patrol. He doesn't feel good if he just relies on Edi and Lisa. How to ask permission from the teacher?

While walking alone in the hallway, the voice of a woman gently called out to him.

“Sa!”

Harsa was not surprised. He had sensed there was a person behind him through his aura, but he did not know if it was a female male. To his surprise, the woman who called him was Elis.

Harsa turned around and smiled. “Lis! Not sleeping?”

Elis shook his head. “I can't sleep. Many thoughts.”

Without speaking, Elis positioned herself next to Harsa. He saw the starry night sky. Harsa is silent, waiting for the continuation of Elis' story.

“I have entered many scholarship requests everywhere, but no one has responded. I'm so scared. I'm afraid I won't be receiving a scholarship, and I have to go to medical school like my parents wanted me to. I was also afraid that if I resisted, I would be afraid to stay alone. I don't feel ready to be independent. Maybe because it is not usual to sleep in a sleeping bag too, anyway. That you? Why haven't you slept?”

“Because can't sleep either. Not because of a lot of thoughts. I just...” Harper stopped talking. He sighed long. “That's..”.

“Heeh.” Harsa said resignedly, but she was shocked to hear Elis's understanding tone as well.

“Hopefully the problem is quickly finished, yes.”

Everlasting war…. Inner Harsa. “Still, yes.” He said he appreciated the sincerity and care of Elis.

“Sama-sama. Oh, aye. I also want to apologize.”

“Make what?”

“That's yesterday, it looks like you're offended because I laughed at your magic. Sorry if I lancing and pretentious.”

Harsa was relieved, completely relieved. He returned to give his best genuine smile to Elis. “Nothing. I'm sorry if I'm too sensitive. Ye know? I'm sure you'll be fine. You can definitely go to college where you want and be fine with your parents.”

“Why do you think so?”

“Because you are firm, but when you talk about apologizing and resolving conflicts like this, you are always sincere.” Answer Harsa earnestly.

Elis laughed happily for being praised like that. “Still, loh. If only my relationship with my parents was that good.”

Harsa did not answer anymore. He was late enjoying the moment together with Elis. He could not believe such a moment could exist. He didn't want the moment to end.

Unknowingly, his mouth continued to reveal his heart. “Elis, you know, the first time I met you in MOS, I was actually already su-”

“Meong.” Harsa's words were cut by a stray cat who had just climbed the stairs of their school.

Harsa's forehead is wrinkled. He did not sense the existence of the cat through his aura. Was he too late in his moment with Elis?

“Wah, I didn't know that our school had a stray cat.” Said Elis pleased. He really likes cats. Elis went to the cat to pet her, but Gilda suddenly walked out of the classroom where she was sleeping and ran towards them.

“DO NOT TOUCH!” Shouts tight.

“Gilda?” Elis turned towards the confused Gilda. The cat leaps towards Harsa, but the sprightly Gilda opens the transparent veil to the Spirit World Bank between the cat and Harsa. The cat jumped into the Edge of the Spirit World.

“Call your brother!” Shouted Gilda following into the Spirit World Bank, then closed the transparent hood.

Harsa was still confused, and she could not avoid the question mark from Elis. But in a moment, everything became clear. Harsa's book shook as she felt the calm steps of the humans who had joined the formskitter walking towards them.
