Unlike usual, Harsa left for school with a sluggish body. His body aches after Adi trains him hard without rest until he can open and close Kaiya smoothly. Even after two days of hard work, Harsa was not strong enough to open Kai's entire door. Even if he is strong, his body can be damaged because it is not able to accommodate the amount of physis that flows into his body. However, now, Harsa was already confident she would not burn her room again accidentally.
“Yo.” Barasa was already in the classroom, standing up to welcome Harsa.
“Hi.” Sapa Harsa, still limp.
Without saying much, Barasa pulled down Harsa's arm and bowed her in Barasa's front seat. “You okay? Lastly, last Friday... Are you okay?”
Harsa was stunned to hear Barasa's question. He hasn't prepared a story about what happened on Friday. In the end, he told me what he was. “My brother came and saved me.”
“... Did he also heal my wounds and that upperclassman?”
“Yes, apparently. I also didn't realize as soon as my brother came.”
“Wow...your brother must be strong.” Barasa. “He learned what martial flow?”
Harsa's eyes twitched. “Rather than martial arts, I think he can magic. You alone, you can do magic, right? Otherwise, you can't possibly hold-”
Barasa's forehead wrinkled, though he chuckled. “Magic? Is such a fairy tale real? Nope. What I do is martial arts. I drained my inner strength to hold back the Shadow Legend. Ah, yes. I think the shadow legend is just a story. Why did he come to school?”
“Ehm.” Harsa was hesitant. At first he thought that Barasa was a quiet person, but actually the boy said a lot about martial arts. “What is Shadow Legend?”
“You don't know about that?”
Harsa.
“Wow. Must be a shock to you. You are great to also survive without knowing what a Shadow Legend is.” Said Barasa amazed. “The Shadow Legend is a legendary creature that is said to be hunted by the founder of my martial school. He said, the one who managed to obtain the core of Shadow Legend would gain immense strength. To be honest, I myself had only seen her for the first time. I thought all grandfather's stories about the origin of our martial arts were imaginary.”
Hansa's brain is spinning on a roller coaster. Barasa's explanation of formskitter is nothing like the formskitter he's heard from his family all along. “Uh, so.” Harsa decided to pretend not to know about formskitter at all because she wanted to hide the fact that she was half Kasarewang. After Harsa told his father about Barasa, he was reminded that there are a handful of humans who can magic. Harsa thought Barasa was like that, but it turns out that Barasa himself considers that his magic is a deep energy.
“So, about your sister-” The words of Barasa were cut by the school bell. Barasa complained because their teacher immediately entered, but Harsa was relieved. Fortunately even after they had taken their afternoon break, Barasa could not continue their conversation because Elis, coming at them.
“Yay! We are one class.” Elis said with a big smile. “Kemaren indeed cut off the club demonstration event, but at already cut off do not want to enter which club?”
“How are you?” Just back to asking.
“I'm fix music club.” Elis answered without hesitation. “If you want to join the martial club?”
Barasa shook his head gloomily. ”Ngak ah. Looked at his seniors yesterday. I better learn it myself from grandfather.”
Harsa nodded in agreement. “Yes, I think it will be stressful if you go in there.”
“Oh, yes. You know yet, Sa? The Barasa family was hereditary in inheriting martial arts. You can go to college, you know.” Cerocos Elis is proud.
Barasa's face flushed in embarrassment. “Already, not important. By the way how are you Har?”
“I think I'm going to the basketball club. From Junior High I joined the basketball club.” Even before MOS, Harsa had already decided.
“Hm. Basketball club yes?” The word Barasa to himself. “Can I nebeng?” ask Barasa. “So I still haven't decided which club to join. If the sports club looks good and moves a lot.”
“Billah. Come together.”
After school, Harsa and Barasa go to the school basketball court to register for a basketball club. Without a lot of words, they are welcome in the club. He said the unsuitable will survive. So, the first month, there will be natural selection.
Harsa was relieved, unlike the martial clubs, the seniors at the basketball club seemed open and friendly. They played two half-court games. Harsa forgets her tiredness and enjoys herself while playing basketball. In fact, maybe he enjoys himself too much. His body moved freely, growing more free ever since he mastered his magic. Now, Harsa can drain the physis to her body parts. At the Spirit World Bank, magic was mandatory so that Harsa could stand. In the Material World, magic enhanced his physical abilities beyond that of a normal person. When he focused all his magic on the legs, jumping up to the second floor like Adi was not a problem. However, if he uses his magic to play basketball, then he can get through the entire defense without great effort. At the end of their game, Harsa feels strange. Basketball is no longer a challenge. On the other hand, Harsa did not feel that she was maximizing her physical abilities when she was holding back her magic. However, he no longer felt the tension and adrenaline when playing basketball.
“Sa! The treasure!! Here!”
While Harsa was drinking on the sidelines, she was summoned by a single, back-haired female figure tied together. Aster stood outside the field, in a casual dress. His hands were waving with a piece of paper in his hand. Somehow, a premonition of bad treasure.
“Barasa.”
“Hm, why?”
“Bentar well. Someone called.” Harsa said, heading out into the field. “Why? You were okay yesterday?” harsa asked Aster, sincerely worried.
“Yah.. Somehow I'm fine. Yesterday, I woke up in the UKS. Teachers in the storm because there are burn marks again in school.” Aster then sighed. “I got the sap to know. The teachers extended my suspension because they blamed me for the fire that appeared on the football field.”
“Sorry.” Harsa said she felt really guilty. “I don't mean to bother you. I also did not expect the creature would appear.”
“Yes. I understand kok.” Aster said in understanding, but he waved the paper in his hand. “I just want to continue the conversation yesterday.”
Harsa received the paper. There, a photo of Harsa jumping on a basketball court, along with sparks coming out of her legs. “E. It can be edited, right?”
Aster shook his head. “I still don't understand why you want to hide magic. I didn't ask because I wanted to blackmail you or anything. I just want us to share information about magic. View.” Aster's hand is up. On top of his palm, suddenly appeared a puddle of water that overflowed until it fell to the ground.
“Ka, you can magic?!” ask Harsa in shock.
“Yap.” A hint of pride sounded in Aster's reply. “And it's the first time I've met someone else who can magic.”
“Wow...” Harsa glanced towards Barasa. But Barasa didn't know magic, he thought he was doing martial arts. Harsa decided to keep quiet about Barasa. “So, what do you want?”
Aster's smile widened as Harsa finally admitted that she could magic. “Cute to my magic club. I need another club member so the magic club doesn't close. After that, please teach me how to bewitch.”
“Eh. Honestly, I'm not sure I can teach you.” Adi has emphasized a lot that the elements mastered are very dependent on one's offspring. “But if it's about the magic club, maybe I can come along. There is no rule that you cannot participate in two activities, right?” Harsa himself is not sure if he will join the basketball club or not. So, he thought it was okay to join the magic club, after all, after the training, he doubted joining the basketball club.
Aster's calm attitude disappeared like being carried away by a gust of wind. “Yeah, thanks Sa!! Hehe. So thanks!! You don't have to worry about teaching me magic. Stay exemplified only. Besides all this time I've always studied magic self-taught.”
“Ah, yes. I'm curious. Where did you get magic?”
“Hehehe. Long story. How are you?”
“Hmm, already hereditary from family.” Harsa said she didn't know what to answer.
“Nakya..” Aster said envy. “Then. Starting next week, I'm in class. In the empty fourth-floor classroom, there we used to have magic club activities every Thursday. You don't forget to come yes.”
Harsa nodded. His heart began to wonder at the figure of Aster. How can ordinary people use magic? How did Aster learn magic self-taught?
