The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
Standardization Test (6)

Two arrows loaded with wind elements shot from above and directly stuck in the core of the two formskitters on the left-right of Harsa.

“That's the real body of round formskitter!!” Shouted Bedo while pointing at the giant formskitter with a height of four meters. Not only did the magnitude of the Formskitter indeed feel much stronger than the others. Some of the formskitters around them had the same ghoul shape as in the examination hall. Some of them have two or four pairs of hands. They all look terrible because they have no skin.

The other four formskitters attacked them from the four corners. Bedo immediately went to another place while Aster changed the elements of the ground below to become a spear from the stone and resisted the attack of the formskitter. Harsa, pulled out one of his swords and held back that ton of physical formskitter. His left hand became harder to use as he grew tired.

The two arrows shot back and destroyed the cores of the other two formskitters that attacked the three of them. From above, a lady landed in front of them. Both of its clear wings were made of physis and the wind element flapped once before disappearing. The wind gushed from the flapping of his wings, blowing away the other formskitters still swarming Harsa and Aster.

“What are you doing here?!” costa shouted furiously as he turned to Harsa and Aster.

“Uh, we are chasing formskitter who must be killed in the standardization test.” Answer Harsa.

“Omong empty! No way the testers sent you here!”

“Where is this?” asked Aster while wiping the mud that flew into his cheek.

“You are outside the protective temple of Drestha City! The front guard of the war between Kasarewang and Formskitter!”

Just as Costa's explanation was complete, two formskitters were ready to strike them back. Costa gave off a sharp wind that could cut the body of the formskitter ghoul in half. Meanwhile, Harsa heated up his sword blade until it became a fire sword. In order to gain extra strength, Harsa relied on her vassal to open her Kai wider. However, he was very surprised.

When he was in that white marble room, his vase was no longer shaped like himself. The figure in the white marble room was indeed Harsa, but her black hand was changing shape like an uncontrollable foreign black flame. At that moment, Harsa realized how terrible what formskitter was doing to her. They had paired something foreign, which was not Harsa, which was beyond his control on his soul.

Sangking surprised him, instead of being wide open, Kai Harsa was even tightly closed. The fire element in his sword was gone already. He was getting ready to receive a full blow from the ghoul-shaped formskitter in front of him, but Aster advanced with his ground spear.

The tip of the ground spear pierced through the formskitter ghoul arm and could not be ejected. Formsktter used it to punch Aster, but his arm turned to ashes when Bedo suddenly appeared behind the formskitter and pierced the core in the formskitter's head.

Their fight is not over. The giant formskitters that were the main bodies hit them like a storm.

“We attack them together!” Shouted Bedo. The three of them then just moved to the formskitter.

Bedo cuts off the formskitter's neck, while Harsa stabs her in the stomach and Aster cuts off one of her legs. The Formskitter fell to his knees, but he did not lose either. He screamed loudly to make Harsa's head dizzy and his hands broke out in cold sweat. From behind, Costa removed hundreds of wind blades that kept Harsa, Aster, and Bedo away from the formskitter and dismembered the ghoul formskitter's body into dozens of pieces. After being dismembered, Harsa captured the presence of the core in the left chest of the formskitter. The reflex force exerts all of its remaining power to fire the laser element into the center of the formskitter core. He forced his vassal to open his door wide.

That formskitter core was crushed into dust and its body was lost to ashes. Harsa let out a sigh of relief as the formskitter was finally dead. However, it is different with Costa. He will not rest until the children are out of the front lines of this war.

“You can't be here! You guys should leave!” Shouted Costa while firing a wind signal at his team. Before long, Gilda came with the wolves of Resa. He took Harsa, Aster, and Bedo into the wall that protected the city of Drestha.

He took them to the medical room, which was much brighter than the other rooms. Harsa didn't even have the strength to lay herself on one of the mattresses in the medical room. He was just lying on the floor after coming down from the wolf he was riding on.

Harsa could not complain, especially seeing how in the room was lying another Kasarewang with much worse circumstances. Without her knowing it, Bedo was one of them. Bedo was accidentally hit by a wind knife attack from Costa and his neck was bleeding. His face looks pale. He couldn't laugh, cry, and talk.

“Yes, geez!” Said the nurse who was standing guard there. “Please call your doctor and other nurses in the dugout. I won't be able to handle this myself!” He said without stopping caring for another Kasarewang.

Gilda nodded and walked out of the room.

“Ka, ka, you…. Completely master the life edict?!” said Bedo stammering in disbelief.

Aster nodding. “Yang simple of course.”

“Ooh.” Bedo's face flushed. “Thank you.” He said in the end.

Before long the doctor and nurse Kasarewang entered the room, They praised the first aid given by Aster. Despite being in the nursing room, Harsa's adrenaline disappears when she sees Adi's worried face entering the medical room. She knew her brother would scream with questions, but why did Harsa feel she was no longer in danger.

***

Harsa's condition improved after she drank the liquid full of physis given by the nurse there. They all questioned Harsa's black hand, yet no one could take action over the wounds on her vase. They all just said that Harsa needs to rest.

Adi massaged his forehead after hearing Harsa's story of what happened in the exam. “I don't understand. There's no way they're giving such a dangerous formskitter for a standardization test. Do they think this is a test for my promotion in the military?! I'll report this matter, for sure. The families of the students who are in a group with you will also protest.”

“Yah. I can only be relieved that this exam is over.” Harsa. “This test is completely finished right?”

“Yes. Don't worry.” Adi said convincingly. “You just have to wait for the result.”

Harsa sighed. “If brother Adi says that, I become tense again.”

The two of them were walking over the defensive fort surrounding Drestha City because Harsa was very curious and did not want to stay in the medical room where there was always Kasarewang going in with severe injuries. Adi, who was worried about his brother's condition, allowed Costa to take a half-day leave. On top of the fortress, Harsa can really feel the busy Kasarewang soldiers who face the formskitter on top of the fort. They were on guard, on the lookout where formskitters would appear and attack.

“...” Harsa fell silent enjoying the beautiful scenery above the fortress. They were like on top of a mountain, standing above the clouds. Although beautiful, the atmosphere there is very gripping. “Why can't I see the existence of this fortress from the middle of Drestha City?” ask Harsa. Indeed, there was a vast forest between the center of the city and the fort, but judging by its height, it should have been visible from the center of the city.

“There is light magic that gives the illusion that this fortress does not exist.” Answer Adi. “The king ordered to put the magic so that the residents of Drestha City did not feel stranded and trapped living in Drestha.”

“I never thought that so many formskitters attacked this city.”

“Yes, of course we were attacked. Thousands of Kasarewang who live together in one city attract the attention of hundreds of formskitter every day.”

“Then Adi's work against that formskitter every day?”

“Ya.” Said Adi with a flat face. “You can say this is my office.”

Harsa is not imagined how much experience fighting Adi after years of fighting against formskitter every day. “Wow.”

Adi sighed. “It's great that you're here. Let you remember, unlike the Kasarewang children who never step out of the city center, that Kasarewang is in an eternal war against formskitter.”
