The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
End Assault

The four of them, Adi, Kriya, Aakil, and Harsa Wijaya, went to the hospital mentioned by Lisa. Rucira, stay with Aster, if anything happens. They made haste there, but until there, they arrived at the morgue. Harsa's expression turned grim when she heard Lisa's answer to where they should go. As imagined, Edi was lying on one of the beds in that cold room. His entire body was covered by a white cloth, up to his face. The cloth covered a terrible scar on Edi's stomach. Next to her, Lisa sat down weakly. His eyes looked empty when he realized their arrival.

"His body was moved here a few minutes ago." Lisa reported limply.

"No, no way." Harsa's whisper as powerful as possible. "Uncle Duke!! You can do something, right?! You can cure it, right?"

Duke Aakil was silent for a moment. To be honest, he didn't want to answer. But eventually, his words had to come out as well. "I can't. His spirit has crossed over into the world."

Harsa's eyes widened and her mouth fell silent as her mind began to fog. He tried to accept the fact that Edi was dead, but that fact was not on his mind. In the midst of the silence, two-three men came to their place, and began to roar and weep over Edi's body. Lisa then pulled the four of them out of the morgue. “His family needs space to mourn.”

They all came out of the room following Lisa's call. Harsa dissolved in grief when she heard the cries of the Edi family. Harsa's eyes began to tear. Sadness, regret and guilt began to fill his heart. What if he's not targeted, will Edi be okay? For a moment, Harsa could not listen to what her friends were talking about.

Adi's arms hugged Harsa's back. The warmth from that embrace pulled him back into the real world. He heard soft words spoken from Adi's mouth.

"I'm sorry, Lisa. As a soldier, I understand how losing a friend struggles." Adi said sympathetically.

Lisa smiled a little, although the smile did not fit on her bitter face. "Thank you."

To be honest, Lisa was already on the edge, but she held back her cries. He had told himself many times that he should be prepared to lose his partner's life or his life because of this work. However, when those unwanted moments come, he always finds himself never ready. He needed anything to take his mind off Edi.

"But with the three of you, um, four of you here, I conclude that the formskitter is already defeated." Ask Lisa.

"You don't have to worry about the formskitters. They're gone." Adi said with a tone of satisfaction.

At that moment, the phone of the day after tomorrow rang loudly, stopping all their chatter.

"Hello?" Ask Lisa on the phone. As time went on, his face grew pale. "A, what?" His eyes widened and glared at Harsa, Kriya, and Adi. "You destroyed one building?!!" Lisa panicked.

"Oh yeah, not intentionally, anyway." Kriya answered without guilt.

"really. I'm actually worried. Some of the humans whose existence was felt there disappeared."

Lisa frowned, confused.

"I mean, there were people who died in the building." Kriya explained.

Lisa's face couldn't be any paler than it was that day. His mouth agape at the thought of the problems that could befall him. He can't say anything. He could only listen to his superior nagging while thinking how to deal with this situation.

"At least we can prevent catastrophic hurricanes and whirlwinds." Said the Duke smiling proudly remembering his disciple Aster.

"It's been a disaster for me." Lisa answered with a hoarse voice. After the phone closed, Lisa said quietly and limply. "I have to go there to make sure things are there. “

Harsa could not take it anymore. He began to speak in the middle of his sobbing. “I asked ma-”

Lisa stopped him at that moment. “Do not blame yourself. You didn't cause all this. Those who are after you are wrong."

Harsa hesitantly nodded.

"wait. I'll go back there too. I'm not comfortable not knowing Rucira.” Kriya said the initiative.

Harsa wants to come back too, but she sees Adi's pale face and she takes Lisa and Rucira away. “You need rest.” He said to Adi. “I'll find a way so you can rest.”

Adi's eyebrows raised up. “You should check your situation as well. Even if it has been healed by the Duke, it's good that you are also checked by human doctors.”

Harsa's cell phone rang loudly. Halfheartedly, Harsa lifted him up. From back there, Darma's anxious voice sounded.

“Where are you?!”

“E, mom. In the hospital. Relax, ma. I'm doing fine. Soon her doctor will come to Kok.”

“How well? If you go to the hospital you are not okay!”

“Iya, mom! Pardon me! If I can I don't want to get hurt either.”

“...” Finally Darma just calmed down a little. “How am I not worried?! Your father always said that Adi would take care of you, but you two never told me!”

“Iya. Sorry, about that.” Harsa began to be guilty. He did not think at all to contact his mother. “But why mom suddenly phone?”

“You didn't see the television?! Open the television! Shouted Darma.

Harsa picked up the television remote in their room. Breaking news was live when the television was on. Harsa's eyes immediately widened. Mouth gaping.

Whahuh? It was the first word that came to his head.

“On last night suddenly the long-abandoned shopping building mysteriously collapsed. One of the residents managed to record this mysterious incident. The BMKG has not reported whether there was an earthquake or not. However, people reported they had felt a strong wind and a storm that suddenly disappeared. The following is a video recording obtained by ... ”

Harsa's mouth grew increasingly gaping seeing the shadow of himself burning and launching a fireball. “EEhh.” Shortly after, he saw the building collapse again for the second time in his life Most likely, he could watch it hundreds of times because the video would appear on the internet. For some reason, Harsa felt stressed when she remembered that. He did not want to be reminded of the deaths of the people there again and again. Especially when Harsa began to hear the presenter tell him about the casualties. “Two people were found dead stricken by the ruins of the building. The police are still investigating the identity of the other victim and the cause of the crash-”

“Biip.” Harsa pushed the dead button on the television. He doesn't want to listen anymore.

For a moment Harsa did not remember that she was on the phone with her mother,

“Sa?” ask Darma to worry. He was confused because Harsa did not respond to his words a few times.

“Ah, Yes, Ma.. I'mtired. I'm going to sleep first. I promise I will definitely return home safely.” Said Harsa completely lost her spirit.

Hearing her son's voice, Darma follows Harsa's wishes. He stopped the phone. Harsa closed her eyes, but it couldn't take long. A doctor came to check on them. Harsa feels strange, seeing Adi examined by a doctor.

Adi too. Then he looked at the doctor with a strange look. But she said nothing when doctors diagnosed her with fatigue and gave her an infusion to help her heal. The doctor was very anxious when he gave a diagnosis of ‘fatigue’ for him. The doctor also treated Harsa's leg which had not fully healed.

“Any. If you get hurt like this, you should go straight to the hospital. Not waiting half healed like this.”

Harsa wiped away the cold sweat running down her forehead. “Yes, Dok.” I got nervous. It was fortunate that he did not ask further and left the two of them to rest.

“Kakak.” Call Harsa in a hoarse voice. “I want to end this war.”

“We all want.” Adi said. “But there's no way you'd step in that direction if you weren't..”.

Harsa immediately cut off Adi's words. “I know. I also want to study magic to Drestha. But. I also believe that if you want to destroy formskitter at all, we need human science as well.”

Adi looked at it with a stare. “...”

“Therefore I want to study here first.”
