The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
Harsa, Barasa, and Aster vs. Formskitter Man

The human skeletons struck Harsa and Barasa at once. Barasa easily shattered the arrangement of the bones with his terrifying punch. Barasa's movements were no longer smooth and flexible due to the impact wounds, but he was able to defeat the skeletons without any major problems.

“Hiyy!!” Shouted Barasa every time he destroyed a single living skeleton. “Sa! This is a real skull!”

“Look carefully! If you destroy them, they are gone!” Harsa said while avoiding the bone sword slash attached to the palm bone of that skull.

“Yes, but they are not exhausted!” Barasa Shouts. Indeed, every time they defeated a single skeleton, then it felt like dozens of skeletons had reappeared from empty air.

Harsa dodged the skeletal attacks and destroyed them with a fist of fire. Harsa was able to hit this entire skeleton with his laser attack. Unfortunately, Harsa could feel the only powerful phyisis to turn into one more laser attack.  The laser attack was very effective and could cut through objects as hard as it could, but it took up a lot of physis. He tried to save his physis reserves, because at this time his absorption of the physis is very ineffective because the concentration is divided.

Barasa catches up to Harsa's predicament. “Sa! Can you fight that Adit with the laser?”

Harsa looked at Adit who was standing behind the second-floor window. Although he stood still, his face seemed to be fully concentrated creating those skeletons. If they can defeat Adit, these skeletons will disappear, or if Adit runs out of physi, and the numbers seem endless.

“Yes! But I only have one more chance to launch that attack!”

“Oh, okay.” Adit said listening to their strategy meeting.

Barasa doesn't care. He drove forward Harsa and defeated the entire skeleton that was in front of them. “Give these creatures to me!”

Harsa immediately jumped into the second floor window where Adit was standing. While jumping, he again made his white sword by using physis efficiently. Adit was forced to immediately make a sword out of the white bone sticking out of his palm to hold down Harsa's white sword. Affected by Harsa's weight, Adit fell lying down. The scorched smell began to smell as Harsa's white fire sword burned and cut Adit's bone sword.

Harsa was already convinced she could defeat Adit, but suddenly the pain stung her stomach. From Adit's left palm, sticking out a short sword blade that pierced right into Harsa's left abdomen. Adit's bone sword broke, just as the man was able to kick Harsa right in the left abdomen to free himself from Harsa's clasp.

Harsa rolled to the side. “Arghh!!”

Adit is ready to stab Harsa with his bone sword that grows back perfectly, but from behind a ball of wind attacks push Adit until he is thrown into the wall of the room. Aster stood still wearing his uniform yesterday. His eyes were black like he had not slept for days. His hair was disheveled and the smell of charred meat was smelling from his wrists and feet. Some of her skirts and socks were burned. “You can't hold me forever with that bone of yours!” Aster said furiously.

“Aster!” Shouted Harsa happily.

“You okay?” Aster's angry tone turned to worry when he saw blood pouring out of Harsa's stomach.

Honestly, Harsa doesn't know. He had never been so badly injured before. The pain spread from his stomach to the crown while his hands tried to stop the blood pressure. Resisting her pain and dizziness, Harsa turned Aster's questions over so the girl wouldn't worry. “How are you?”

“I'm fine after collecting physis.” Aster said firmly despite his legs shaking violently.

“I haven't lost loh!” Adit said and ordered physis to be three zombies from empty air surrounding them.

“Sa!! Watch out!!” Shouted Aster.

Harsa's eyes only saw Adi attack when from the second floor window, Barasa entered and kicked Adit's head until the man was thrown back into the narrow room wall.  “I think I came at the right time.” Barasa commented. “After you enter facing it, the skeletons stop appearing again. It took a few minutes to destroy those skeletons.”

Before Adit stood up, Harsa pointed the tip of her white sword at Adit's neck. “Stop!” His order. “I can burn you faster than you make zombies again!”

Adit this time, completely stopped, but he smiled widely. “Huh? Then what do you expect? Why not just cut me down?”

Harsa's forehead is wrinkled. “You're human, but why cooperate with formskitter?”

“Why not? Formskitter gave me a physis power I couldn't imagine. With the agreement with formskitter, I can bewitch without any restrictions. After all, the purpose of formskitter with our goals is not so much different. The Formskitter wants to exterminate you fairies, while we want to gain knowledge of the key to your immortality! Your own people, as fairies, you always hide, not share why you can live forever! Imagine how many lives could be saved with the advancement of medical science if only humans could tamper with one fairy body!”

Harsa's body trembled from the mixing of fear and anger imagining Adi or her father being used as guinea pigs. “I'm not a guinea pig! Do you think it's ethical to treat others like that?”

“But you are not human!” Shouted Adit annoyed. “Aster. Come on, I know you want great magic power. It's not too late to join formskitter. You can get rid of both of them and get stronger!”

Aster shook his head in horror. “But inside you, something has changed! Besides I don't need magic power if you tell me to kill people with magic!”

“What?!” asked Harsa and Barasa in shock simultaneously.

Aster nodded. “He told me to kill me someone with magic after teaching me the life decree. He also almost forced me to join the formskitter, but after two days of studying life decrees, I didn't want to.” Looking at the sympathetic faces of Harsa and Barasa, Aster's eyes started to glaze over after he felt safe. “I feel so stupid. Being tempted by new magic techniques, I left home and got involved with the mob hit man!”

“Stupid! If you have the power, you should use it as much as possible for your own benefit! Does anyone care if you can't do anything?! People will throw you away if you don't have the ability. So, the ability you have, whatever it is you have to use!” Shouted Adit scolding Aster.

“I can use my magic for anything else!” Denying Aster firmly. “Although I don't yet know what it is..”.

Adit laughs. “Terden! Don't you think I've lost! Formskitter who became my partner, still rampaging in nature there!”

It took time for Harsa to understand Adit's intent with the term ‘alam sana’. “You mean the Edge of the Spirit World? The formskitter you made the appointment is right on ...”

Harsa's eyes widened as she began to connect all the strange things from the formskitter they were fighting. The weak formskitter that he and Barasa fought at the beginning had no core because the formskitter was only a physis reserve that was put in Adit's body. The real formskitter body is a powerful formskitter in the form of a woman who is fighting in the Spirit World Bank.

“Kak Adi!” Shouts Barasa and Harsa together. “Will he be okay?”
