The Eternal War Kasarewang

The Eternal War Kasarewang
Race (2)

That day, different from usual, Harsa did not go straight home when the bell ringed loudly. He walked to the cafeteria to buy a bottle of sweet tea that could give him energy until later in the afternoon.

“Harsa!” Its name is called from the canteen seating area. At one of the empty tables, Aster sat alone with a thick magic textbook. Welcoming the call, Harsa sits across from Aster. “You haven't come home yet? Want to study together?”

Harsa looked at the thick book seriously before shaking her head softly. “Cannot. I have an appointment with Mr. Yono to study biology this afternoon.”

“Hah? How can? You got bad grades? So punished for that extra lesson?”

“Haha. No, kok. I want to participate in a careful biology intelligent competition held by the medical faculty at the university in Jakarta.”

“Wow, so cool. Spirit yes!” Support Aster. “I learned to uas and this alone is very dizzy.” Aster said with admiration.

Harsa swallowed her breath. “Actually I was confused later how to.”

Harsa was amusingly chatting with Aster when her eyes caught the figure of Elis descending from the second floor. Beside him Barasa was busy chatting with Elis. Harsa had no idea what they were talking about, but it seemed that the two of them were very busy chatting. Suddenly, his heart was pummeled by a feeling of unease.

Ah, that's right too. I also like Ellis.

It felt like that fact had been forgotten these few days. At that time, Harsa was petrified. Although he should have been able to draw on Barasa and Elis' conversation so easily, it felt like there was an invisible wall blocking between him and them.

Harsa was silent to see them having fun. Harsa thought the conversation between the two old friends would not stop until Elis turned around and realized the figure of Harsa as well. Elis waved his hand, then both Elis and Barasa walked towards Harsa's table.

“Sa!” Greet Elis when they are near their table. “Udah ready yet?”

“Ready, kok.” He said while showing her the big sweet tea bottle he had just bought. “I first yes, Ter.”

“Iya, passion yes!” Said Aster.

“I also went home first, yeah. Later in the afternoon want to practice with grandpa.” Said Baras, who was ready with his helmet.

After Barasa returns home, Elis and Harsa walk into their school's biology lab room. Harsa couldn't help herself to ask, “Tadi said what is Barsa? I think it's really exciting.” Harper tries not to sound jealous. What right does it have to be jealous?

“Eh? We're talking about a superhero movie that just came out. I want to watch, but it won't stop. Why?”

“Ngak. Curious aja.” Harsa said, trying hard not to misbehave.

Pak Yono, their biology teacher who has a mustache like mario brooch, is waiting for Gina, Elis, and Harsa to arrive at their school laboratory on the fourth floor. They were greeted by three modules that were more than ten centimeters thick. Elis sat at one of their laboratory tables. He sits between Harsa and Gina.

“Are you guys ready?” ask Pak Yono without a smile that can give encouragement.

“Ready, Sir.” Only Gina greeted with vigor. Harsa forced a smile, before her heart finally complained about getting so many lessons from Pak Yono.

The three modules are a summary of biology lessons from first to third grade.

“Pak, this should be memorized all?” ask Harsa not to believe.

“Yes. This has been made a good module by your upperclassmen.” Answer Mr. Yono. “Later for three only. Let learning not be hard. Relax, you still have two months to memorize before you finish the race.”

“Two months.. Learn this..” Harsa remembered the subject matter of her magical creature. When mixed with this, it will not be what juice his brain.

“Can, lah. You guys are smart.” Said Pak Yono. After saying so, he left them alone in the computer lab.

“I take first class materials!” Break up Gina directly. “Please yes, I can not also if you have to memorize new materials.”

“Still, Lis. Sorry yes, I am also not able to learn new material.” Harsa said while taking the module for second grade. In his heart he was crying hard.

Two hours of study time felt like a century when the three of them read and memorized the contents of the module in silence.

“It feels like a century of learning this will not be finished.” Harsa said after two hours had passed.

“Already, yuk.” Gina. “Pusing nutmeg berbie. Continue tomorrow. It's five.”

The children who had drunk the lesson all agreed. Harsa was already about to ask to be picked up when Elis patted Harsa on the shoulder.

“You want to continue, right? In my house.”

“Next?” Harsa's brain was up to two watts, but once she saw Elis's face and expression, her brain was refreshed again. “Hayu.” He said while nodding excitedly. Be them taking an online taxi to Elis' house.

Elis' house is no different from Harsa's. Complex house with a small terrace outside the house. Both of Elis' parents are at home. However, they did not chat much with Harsa. The two of them ‘learn’ alone in the living room. Although intending to ‘learn’, they both chatted loudly. Maybe because actually both their brains are full of Latin terms.

“So your mother said this medical book will be passed on to you later?” Ask me not to believe. In Harsa's hands was a hardcover thick lecture book, whose paper was made of not just any paper. “I just heard there are parents who want to bequeath the textbook.” Harsa added while laughing satisfied.

“Iya, tuh. Most likely they want me to get into medicine. He said the book was expensive. Buy abroad and very good, but if the contents are old the same as not wearing anyway?”

“Iya. Right anyway. You should buy another book later. Won't wear it if it's been too long.” Harsa agreed.

Elis took a long breath.  “Hah, yes.”

Harsa immediately remembered that Elis did not want to be a doctor at all. “But your mama's understanding yes, she doesn't sue you at all.”

“Haha, yes. He's more than expecting me anyway.” Maybe because I know I'm half Kasarewang, he doesn't matter if I don't intend to work in the human world…

“You're good to have a brother too. Since I was the only child, my parents expected me to fulfill their dreams.” Whisper Elis in annoyance.

“But you intention also to want to follow this race.”

“I intention because the money knows.” Said Elis laughing. “Thankfully they didn't stop les pianoku anyway. In the past, they always made me teach piano. Now when I love the world of music, told to be a doctor.”

“Haha.” Harsa could not understand Elis's complaint. He could only support his friend. “Espirit well. Hopefully they can be persuaded to understand.”

“I gave up enough. Uh, but what are you, Sa? What have you thought of being?”

Harsa sighed and shook her head. “But.” I was even confused about going to college or not because I was interested in learning magic in Drestha city like Aster.

“Nothing, you just think about it slowly.”

Harsa had heard those words hundreds of times from hundreds of people, but it didn't seem to help her answer her questions.
