The Love of Habib

The Love of Habib
Chapters 12.6

Aira went home and found no one there. He was confused and in a hurry. Looking to and fro, not a single person was found. Except for grandfather of course, but he did not want to talk to grandfather at all for now. Talking to grandfather does not provide a solution, really, instead of getting a solution but he will get more dizzy. Understood, Aira had been in no mood with grandfather ever since grandfather humiliated her that day.

Ugh, no wonder Aish sucks because the trait is down directly from his grandfather and from the late Mama Aish of course.

Confused about where to look, Aira then threw her tired body on the sofa. He looked up at the living room ceiling. Thinking about his meeting today with Aish and habib Khalid. For a time, his jealousy was dimmed by his bold thoughts.

His slender hand then lifted up to touch his veil, wondering what the habib's reaction was when he saw it without using the sound veil today?

Aira could imagine it. Her reaction was probably the same as the man she had met so often all this time. Maybe amazement?

Em, maybe.

"This veil.. Could it be time for me to let go?" He muttered to himself.

"It's okay, right? You see, Aish's kak's influence is also gone from everyone here." Aira muttered again.

To be honest the reason Aira used the veil was because she wanted to eliminate Aish's influence on everyone. Because Aish is a girl who is born beautiful and charming, everyone who Aira meets will praise Aish's extraordinary beauty. Aira was jealous and sad. Suddenly he became less himself meeting a lot of people. Fortunately at that time the trend of using the veil began to boom everywhere. Aira was greatly helped by the trend and without thinking twice she immediately vowed to use the veil. At first it was difficult, but after getting used to it he became comfortable himself even though it was sometimes a bit complicated.

But for Aira everything was not a big deal as long as the opinions of many people changed about her. And well, everyone's views instantly changed about Aish. They often compare Aish and herself, talking that Aish is an unruly and rebellious child while Aira is a very obedient girl who is soft-hearted.

Aira was happy, all day she never stopped smiling and rejoicing at her brother's misfortune.

Well, and from then on she never thought about opening her veil. But now...

Aira felt that the reason why Habib Khalid had ignored her was because her face had not been exposed. Hem, it's been a long time that he's been using a veil and all that time he's been taking good care of his face. According to Mother, her appearance is now much more beautiful than before.

"Maybe I can't wait to think about it"

The ringing of his phone sounded. Aira woke up from her thoughts. He fixed his seat while looking for a cell phone inside the school bag.

"Hallo, assalamualaikum, auntie?" Aira's warm polite greetings to the person across the street.

The caller is an aunt, the one who dislikes Aish the most in this house.

"Waalaikumussalam, are you home, son?"

Aira turned back on the sofa.

"Yes, bi. I just got home and didn't find anyone at home." Answer Aira with a tone of complaint.

Though he came home in a hurry because he wanted to talk to his parents about moving to the boarding house. She thought her parents were at home as usual, she knew they had all gone missing somewhere.

"Don't be angry, Aira. Your father and mother had gone to the hospital to visit relatives who were sick. Before leaving they've prepared food for you in the kitchen." Aunt comforting said.

Aira knew this too. Mother cannot leave if there are no urgent problems.

Aira's anger instantly receded. He smiled gently, feeling warm with the attention of his parents. Wherever they went, Aira would have prepared food in the kitchen so Aira would never starve.

"Thank God. Aunty's gonna hang up, well, enjoy your time at home and don't study too hard." Aunty's message from across there.

Aira's smile grew wider at her aunt's attention. See, aunt was very attentive to her and always looked down on Aish. Obviously, neither the love of Dad nor the family of Dad has always been on his side. They're always biased towards Aish.

"Auntie doesn't have to worry." Aira said soothingly.

Aunt then hung up the phone. Aira pulled your phone on the table with the decision already round in her heart.

...****...

In the evening, everyone gathered at home. They had dinner together with a harmonious and peaceful atmosphere like the previous nights. Grandfather has not been too indifferent in the family since yesterday either. No one knew the reason but for sure, they were happy with grandfather's mood that had improved again.

After everyone finished dinner, they gathered for a while in the living room to chat and share stories. Then, an hour or two later, they returned to their rooms. Just as everyone was dispersing, Aira hurriedly walked out of her room and walked into Dad's study.

"Dad, it's Aira."

A second later,"Log in." Aira was allowed in.

As soon as Aira entered the work room, Mother and Father immediately saw Aira strange. Because Aira tonight suddenly opened her veil at home. It's not a real problem, let alone this at home. But it was strange to see Aira suddenly take off the veil.

Not only take it off, but Aira also uses makeup products although thin and somewhat vague, but Father or Mother can still distinguish it.

"Anira?" Call Mother weird.

Aira smiled widely, she stared embarrassedly at her two parents who looked somewhat in shock.

"Aira is pretty, isn't Bun, Dad?" Tanya Aira was still embarrassed.

"Pretty." Answer Father and Mother at the same time.

Aira is beautiful even though she is not as charming as Aish, Dad thought.

Aira was immediately happy to hear it. His smile immediately expanded wide. Her slender, well-groomed hand touched the side of her warming face.

"Mother, Dad. Aira wants to say something to you." Said Aira in a warm tone.

Mother then sat down next to Father. Looks like their daughter wants to talk about something very important.

"What are you talking about?" Ask a typical soft Mother of a Mother.

Aira squeezed her hands in shame. His shy and misbehaving attitude made his parents wonder what happened to Aira?

"It... Aira wants to move schools to boarding schools. Aira wants to move to the boarding house where Aish's sister is studying." Aira said with hope shining brightly within her eyes.
