Forget that! forget that! forget that!
Suppose you never heard those words. These were the voices that were said inside Aish's head.
It feels really painful. Is it because you've never seen her cry and fall ill that you consider her a strong, resilient, and unharmed girl?
In fact Aish is more fragile than Aira. She's not that strong girl.
"All right, I'm leaving." Not strong anymore, he then stood up from his seat.
Father and Mother looked at Aish dissatisfied. I still want to talk a lot about Aira. But Aish has already decided on the conversation. He's not polite at all.
Without waiting for Dad's reaction, he spoke again, "And regarding Dad's request about Aira, I'm sorry I couldn't do it at all. To me it's annoying every time I see your beloved daughter's face. So I can't take care of her."
"Rumaisha!"
"I have to go back to my room, assalamualaikum." Then go on the run as fast as possible without looking back. It's very disrespectful. Aish knows too. But how else, his heart was too sick.
Dad has always been affectionate towards her and is more concerned with Aira than she is. But even if you're loving, isn't he still a father? How could his attitude still be different up to this point?
How stupid, stupid so stupid. He was still expecting Father's mercy, guessing whether there was a longing, but in fact it was just his pseudo-dreams.
"I hate!"
He ran with all his might. Run up the path to his dormitory. Though the streets in the dormitory are not all using bright lights and there are some points of the road looks very dark. Aish used to be so scared. But tonight, maybe because he was too heartbroken he did not pay too much attention to the surrounding environment.
He kept running and didn't realize someone was following him.
Grab!
And with a single jolt of his hand suddenly being pulled by someone, his body instantly dazed back and fell into a warm embrace. Surprised, Aish thrashed about wanting to escape while crying sobbing.
"Don't move, it's me." When he heard this voice again, the body that had been thrashing wanted to escape by itself stopped moving.
"Sister Khalid?" Call sangau.
Under the darkness of the night, Habib Khalid closed his eyes. Both of his big hands turned to touch Aish's slender back, holding her firmly and slowly bringing Aish fully into the arms. He could feel without seeing how trembling Aish's body was tonight. Shaking not because of fear but trembling because of the pain that has been deep in the heart. She had no idea how deep the wound was in Aish's heart that made her this sick, but she was determined to be the cure.
"Okay, don't be afraid. Cry if you want to cry. Don't hold. I won't be angry or humiliate you for crying." Habib Khalid lowered his head to the position of Aish's ears, and in a soft voice he whispered.
After hearing habib's words, Aish did not hesitate anymore to cry. He buried his head above the chest of the field of the habib, hiding a painful expression on his face. Hugging the strong back of the habib, Aish cried loosely in his arms. If not for the field chest of the habib muffling his crying voice, this crying voice would have been heard by those who happened to pass by.
Aish's face felt very hot and her knees started to limp. If Habib Khalid had not sustained his body then he would have fallen to the ground since then.
Being in the arms of the person he always dreamed of before going to bed, and recently being a prayer in his prostration, Aish felt soaring. Whether it had reached the clouds to how many, he could not count them.
Because it tastes so sweet.
"Feel better?" The habib's whisper beside Aish's ear.
Aish's ears are itchy.
"Em, it's better. Thank you brother Khalid." The answer is shame.
And he was even more embarrassed when he felt the clothes on the chest of the habib was already wet with his tears.
"Is it really better?" Habib Khalid asked not to take it seriously.
Aish nodded timidly and immediately remembered that the habib could not see him in the dark of the night. He said, "Really, I feel better. Thanks again, brother."
After getting a firm answer from Aish, Habib Khalid then released his hand from Aish's slender back and retreated one step back leaving a distance between them. Aish self-consciously also took a step back to increase the distance between them. His head bowed in shame not daring to look at the habib. But what he did was in vain because he could not see his face under the darkness of the night.
"If you're feeling better then let's go back to the dorm, I'll take you away."
"Well, this is more than good." Habib Khalid hugged him, how could he not feel good?
Anyone in his position would probably be very happy to get an intimate hug from the habib, and how proud he is that lucky girl is him.
"We're on the road now." Then he suddenly grabbed Aish's hand.
"Aah?" Aish's heart was instantly crazed inside his chest.
Habib Khalid brought Aish's hand to the end of his shirt as a handle, and said, "Be careful when you step, lest you stumble over a stone." The memory of habib Khalid led the way ahead.
Understanding what Habib Khalid meant, Aish obediently followed the Khalid's steps from behind while clasping tightly at the end of the shirt. Silently following, faintly, under the darkness of the night Aish could see that upright back leading her stride ahead.
In his heart he raised a very sweet and earnest hope to the Power.
O God, I want to spend the rest of my life with the owner of the sturdy back that is in front of me right now. Ridhoi me O Allah, please ridhoi I accompany him, Muhammad Thalib Al-Khalid, my soul mate.
