"Asphalt, Umi?" Aish knocks on the back door of the kitchen and says hello.
In the kitchen, Umi just finished sorting out which vegetables to prepare and cook for the guests today. Umi raised her head looking towards the back door and met Aish's brilliant apricot eyes. For a moment Umi nodded. The brilliant eyes reminded Umi of the gloomy girl with puffy eyes who was very reluctant to live here, now half a month has passed and the gloom of the girl has long evaporated replaced by a charming atmosphere that is very difficult to ignore.
"Eye?" Aish called once more.
His confidence began to decline. Umi was afraid to forget him after two weeks without seeing each other.
"Vamujacam, Aish. Let's enter. Get your two friends in, too." Umi is back to clear.
With a big smile, he welcomed the arrival of Aish, Dira, and Gisel. Treat the three of them warmly and with a familiar atmosphere so that the three of them are not too awkward when communicating with him.
"Umi, we're here to come help." Aish said report.
Umi nodded. Yesterday he had been told about the reinforcements of these three people and Umi was quite happy because one of the three of them was a beautiful girl who had been imprinted in his memory.
"I already know. Thank you, thank you for your time today. Umi's glad you three came to help."
Seeing Umi's warm eyes, the hearts of the three of them inevitably softened. The three of them will not be up to the heart of treating Umi casually as they do to others, because Umi has the warmth of a mother that makes the three of them quite comfortable close to her.
"Well, come here. Umi has prepared some freshly picked vegetables from our cottage garden." Umi took them to the kitchen table.
Above the kitchen there was already a wide variety of vegetables, foreign and familiar to the three of them, looking very fresh and healthy.
"What should we do, Umi?" Ask Dira politely.
Umi took a small basket containing red and white onions. Submit the task of cleaning and slicing onions to Dira and Aish. While Gisel will follow Umi cutting vegetables that will be cooked today.
After the division of tasks, Dira and Aish immediately work on their part while enduring the sting of the unbearable charm of red stuff. The charm of the onion is too dangerous and makes the eyes hurt, but even so none of them complain!
"I'll clean the garlic." Aish guiltily released the red item from her hands.
"Don't dong, Aish. I don't take care of red onions alone." Dira nelangsa.
Just like Aish, she was tormented here too!
If only a few seeds are not a problem because the charm will not hurt the eyes. But the ones they handled were over 50 seeds and it was very difficult to escape from its charm, ah!
"But my eyes are sore." How many times had the back of her hand wiped away the melted tears and no matter how many times she did, these eyes were so hard to stop crying!
This tormented her greatly as a strong and resilient girl.
"Well... Gisel same Umi from earlier did not stop laughing." Dira looked at the jealous Gisel across from those who were coolly chatting with Umi.
Aish is also jealous but can't do anything about it.
They also could not complain because this was a task that had been given directly by Umi. In addition, this task is not too heavy actually and should, as a woman, be, creatures that God created specifically to make friends with the kitchen must familiarize themselves as soon as possible with all kinds of materials and tools related to the kitchen.
Shouldn't women be close to the kitchen?
"Don't dream on. Let's work faster so we can be free to do other tasks." The word Aish draws Dira from his jealous gaze.
The two of them were commoners about the kitchen so their onion slices weren't too flat. Some are too thin and some are too thick. The shape grew even more out of shape as the two of them accelerated the speed of their hand slicing. Instead of further beautifying, the slices looked more like crushed minced meat.
He put a knife on the cutting board. Stand up from his seat, then go to the sink to wash his hands. Act as if nothing has happened.
Dira's eyes were round looking at Aish's 'self-informed' behavior'. He left as if the work on the cutting board was not his hand. Not to be outdone, he also followed to the sink to wash his hands.
"Lho, how did you go?" Aish pretended to be astonished.
Dira rolled his eyes lazily, "You too-"
"Aish, Dira, are you done?" Umi's soft voice interrupted their harmonious conversation.
Rigidly, they turned towards Umi and Gisel, hesitatingly answering, "Already, Umi."
Umi nodded lightly looking at them but her hand did not stop cutting the young kale on the table. This kale is planned to be made stir-fry kale with Umi in accordance with the request of the guests today so among all vegetables, the kale portion is the most.
"Well, when you're done you two can go to the back of the house to get fish. It's probably under arrest by now so you can go get it." Tell Umi.
Aish immediately relieved Umi not to mind the onion that had been chopped crushed. In fact from where Umi sat, she could see the work that Aish and Dira had left behind but chose to remain silent.
Aish and Dira immediately agreed. The two of them immediately went to the back of the house following Umi's direction. Behind the house Umi is very spacious and planted with many trees and various kinds of medicinal plants are very fertile. Walking a few meters far back, they both found a muddy fish pond that was quite spacious and could hold many fish.
Samar, from far away they both saw some men standing by the pool. Apparently it was the santri that Umi was assigned to catch fish in the pond.
At first Aish did not pay much attention to the men. But the closer he stepped the clearer his vision became and he slowly recognized some of the people he had come into contact with.
"Assynogaal?" Dira said his regards.
While Aish beside him chose to shut up and be indifferent.
"Mosur." The men immediately responded with downcast eyes to avoid slander.
"Are you the ones who asked Umi to take the fish?"
Deg
Aish's blood instantly rippled in panic. Hot and sweet, this sensation was so familiar to his body. But still, no matter how much he experienced the same feeling, he was still not used to this sweet turmoil. Moreover, her heart was beating out of control, Aish was sometimes afraid when that person heard how crazy her heart was every time they met.
"Yes-yes, we came here to pick up fish." Initially stammered.
Aish squeezed her already sweaty hands nervously. He turned to habib Khalid who walked closer to him.
Habib Khalid took his footstep walking up to them and stopped two meters away from the two of them.
"We caught the fish and you can take it away."
Habib Khalid then put down a large black bucket that was almost filled with catfish. The guy is big and still alive. In the bucket there is no water so the catfish will move frantically and flap its tail everywhere. This scene was extremely frightening and made the two of them freeze on the spot.
The corner of Aish's mouth twitched in restraint, "This... isn't it very dangerous?" Ask doubtfully.
It must be dangerous, right?!
