"Aira, what's wrong with you?" My friend realized that something was wrong with Aira.

So what was said earlier was a lie to trick his fellow boarding houses. He is burning jealous knowing Aish and Habib Khalid have a closeness here. He is not willing and wants to make rumors about himself. He wanted to show that the special girl for Habib Khalid was not Aish but her, Aira.
