The Love of Habib

The Love of Habib
Chapters 19.5

While waiting for dinner to be served, eyebrows and his two best friends chat with the rest of the room. Coincidentally tonight the other roommates were sitting at the same table as the three of them. And therefore their dining table is the most crowded or noisy table among all the tables in this canteen.

"Where was the afternoon, I don't know the story. I'm afraid you've come home?" Their chatter is suddenly interrupted by an unknown girl. The girl came from the next table. Maybe because their table was too crowded the girl's attention became distracted.

"Nana, aren't you joining your other roommates?" It turns out that the girl's name was Nana from the very room at the end of the 1st floor of the dormitory building.

He was none other than the Aira class leader. The one who tested Aira this afternoon.

"My roommates sit at separate tables and my room doesn't usually eat at the same table. But by the way your classes are very compact huh?" Nana said with a gentle smile on her face.

Usually every year there will be the selection of the most compact and best rooms in the dormitory building. The selected room is the room that has the best assessment of other rooms whether it is in terms of cleanliness, peace, compactness, and unity. The selected rooms will get a prize of some money allocated directly by the boarding school as a form of appreciation.

"Nana don't envy ya, this year's award will be acquired by our room." Said one of Aish's roommates in a joking tone.

They did not expect much for this year's assessment. Everyone does not forget about some of the cases caused by Aish and his two friends, with these cases alone they will have low value points. So no one expected much. Nor did they blame Aish and his two friends just for their problem of making their room points value low. Honestly, before the three of them entered, their room never got a champion.

"I won't be jealous, though. You haven't answered me yet, I wonder why Aish didn't carry out his sentence of plowing the fields for a day. Listen, he was sent home this afternoon." Nana is back on topic.

As an outsider following the matter, he wanted to know the reason why Aish and his two friends were sent home this afternoon. But Abah asked them to plow the fields until the afternoon in accordance with the working hours of the farmers hired by the cottage. He wasn't mean to be evil, but he was more curious. Wondering why the three of them could ease his sentence. And he did not believe that Aish and his two friends used money to bribe, because the boarding house would definitely not accept it.

"Our punishment still exists. For some reason the boarding school decided to divert our punishment. That doesn't mean we're free of this punishment. Brother Khalid said we were asked to wait for some time and when it was ready, sister Nasha herself would confirm it to us." Aish immediately spoke up to answer Nana's curiosity.

Nana's eyes glowed in shock upon hearing Aish's familiar call to the habib. He also realizes that Aish and Aira's call to the habib is different. Because as she remembered, Aira said that she knew the habib and had a close relationship, then why is Aira still calling the habib with a respectful call while Aish actually calling the habib with a very familiar call or call it intimate.

"Oh, so so. I thought you guys had already finished this sentence." Nana put on a sweet smile while trying to disguise the shock on her face.

"Aish, is your sister Aira?" His eyes looked straight at Aish, silently making a judgment in his heart.

The thin smile on Aish's face instantly dimmed, he lowered his head pretending to play the tissue in his hands. Aira is his brother but at the same time a thorn in his life.

"Yes, he's my brother, why?"

"It's nothing. I just wanted to tell you that your sister is now living in the room I lead. You don't have to be afraid of anything happening to your sister, because I will take care of her. Oh yeah, I also heard that he wanted to meet you this afternoon. He said he misses you so much." Whether intentional or not, Nana's words seem to warn Aish that there are parasites who want to get close.

Nana was like saying that she should stay away from this parasite.

"Please tell him not to come. If he really wants to have a good relationship with me then it is better to keep his distance. Don't pretend or use a fake attitude, because this isn't home." Aish's words made them all speechless.

Aish is a very straightforward person, if he does not like people then he will not like and if in like people then he does not need to show it.

And he is not at all afraid of his bad relationship with the family being known by many, he does not like to be fake. But this will be different when it comes to the habib, in front of him he likes to be fake rather than show his sad side.

"After hearing what you said I was relieved, just relax I will convey what you said."

Dinner is served. The general kitchen staff walked around sending food to each table. This process is rather slow because the students are taken care of not only 100-200 but more than 2000 people. Their feet and hands moved quickly without slacking off, as if being chased by time.

Seeing the general kitchen staff moving, their attention was only distracted by a few seconds.

"You know, I don't have to lie to you. That your sister seems to have bad intentions for you. He had just stayed a day here, but all your ugliness in the house used to be exposed by him to my roommates. So be careful." Nana said bluntly.

Because Aish dared to be outspoken then as an outsider he was also not afraid. After all this was also for Aish's own good.

Aish smiled faintly, looking at Nana, "Thank you."

The other roommates are confused not knowing what to say because this is also Aish's personal matter. But the information from Nana and Aish's short chat was huge for them. In a sense they know that the relationship with his brother is not good. And his brother seemed to have bad intentions. As a friend even though not close enough, Aish's roommates must be more inclined to defend Aish. They trust Aish. Aish's character has shown that he is a person who does not like to mince words, does not like to interfere in other people's affairs and prefers to be silent despite being spoken badly by others. And Aish is the type of person who screams loudly when someone is bothering his best friend.
