"Ugh, is there something strange on my face?" Aish patted her still warm cheek.
As he remembered, he did not do any strange things with Habib Khalid. So his face is fine, right?
Shaking his head agitated, as soon as he entered the dorm building he immediately turned towards the bathroom. In the bathroom he washed his face several times. A few minutes later she came out of the bathroom and immediately went to her dorm room. Inside the dorm room, he did not see Dira and Gisel. He thought the two of them might go shopping to the dormitory cafeteria.
"Aish, where have you been?" The girl and some other friends were chatting on the girl's bed. They were santriwati from the next room that Aish did not recognize.
Aish blinked a few times getting rid of the guilt in the heart. Only God knows where he went and who he went with. He could not possibly tell them this matter.
"I was called to Umi's house. We were talking about some business so I wasn't allowed to go home until I was staying at his house." Aish replied as she turned her eyes looking the other way.
Last night he took a short nap because he stayed up late and had to wake up to pray tahajud. At first he was not sleepy when he was with Habib Khalid. But after returning to the dormitory and seeing her warm little bed, the drowsiness suddenly came over. He yawned widely and climbed onto the bed while holding out a blanket to cover part of his body. Aish has been a habit since childhood. Whether the weather is hot or cold, she always uses a blanket while sleeping. This was his habit from childhood so he had a hard time eliminating it.
"Aish come here, friends want to meet you." Call the Girl trying to make a close friendship with Aish again.
Aish waved his hand.
"I'm sleepy. Next time." Resist while adjusting the sleeping position as comfortable as possible and close your eyes.
Seeing Aish's cold demeanor to her, Girl instantly feels embarrassed because she talks to these friends that her relationship with Aish is quite close. Now that Aish rejected him without giving a face, it was natural that he was angry. But whatever the power, she couldn't possibly scold Aish now that she wanted to build a close relationship with Aish.
"He's always been like this. You mustn't be surprised." The girl whispers to her friends so they can understand Aish's bad attitude.
The others looked at each other with disappointment in their hearts. Because they have heard a lot of Aish's deeds in this room and therefore they want to establish a good relationship with Aish. But seeing Aish's flat reaction earlier, some of them were no longer interested in making friends. As rumors have circulated, Aish is an unapproachable person.
...*****...
Meanwhile, Dira and Gisel are now in the staff office of the boarding school. There was actually a guest who was looking for Dira and wanted to talk to her. Who the guest was Dira already knew. At first he did not want to meet them, but Gisel advised him to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Otherwise this problem will continue to drag on and make Dira even more disappointed. Rather than dragging him, it was better to just finish all of this so that Dira could set her mood.
Inside the living room of the boarding school staff sat a married couple, now no longer. They were Dira's parents who had lived apart from their respective families. As Dira had previously suspected, both of her parents had married and built a new family. Where did Dira know that? Yes, the answer is right up ahead. Papa brought his new wife and Mama brought her new husband. Papa did not bring his children here because they might have grown up while Mama came with a little girl in his arms.
The girl has eyes similar to Mama's and nose and lips similar to the man in the suit next to Mama's.
Dira sneers. His usual haughty eyes now did not possess the usual brilliance. His gaze was empty, there was a sense of cynicism and ridicule that could not be hidden.
"Son, why don't you pick up Papa's phone? And why didn't you come home yesterday? Papa heard the boarding house let you go home for a week while waiting for the final exam results to come out." The atmosphere is very awkward. Although Papa spoke with affection in his mouth, Dira was no longer deceived.
"Why ask, Papa already knows the answer. You already have your own families, so why look for me again? I know you two don't need me so why should you be fake and act pretentious to me. In fact, I'm nobody to you." Dira answered indifferently with no look of sadness on the face.
Everybody's not stupid. Dira's biased answer suggests that she was very disappointed with her two parents.
"Dira, Mama never taught you to be rude to parents!" Tegur Mama to Dira.
Thought back at him, "Oh yeah, when did Mama teach me manners? As I recall, Mama and Papa lived outside the house more than they accompanied me at home. I used to think it was for the sake of work, but after knowing it now, you guys purposely avoided me because I really wasn't needed."
Dira doesn't know the cynical words for whom. Is it for Mama and Papa who have been deceiving her for years, or for her naive self for trusting them too much as a parent.
Mama was surprised by Dira's sharp reply. She did not know what to reply because deep down, she was disappointed to see Dira's anger but she also felt guilty towards Dira.
"Dira... We are busy because we work. We have no intention of avoiding you. For both of us, you're still our daughter." Papa made a plea.
"When?" Tanya Dira ventured.
"What?" The people in the room did not understand what Dira meant.
While Gisel was sitting beside Dira, quietly grabbed Dira's hand and held it firmly to strengthen Dira's heart.
Dira smiled faintly, "Since when did you split up and start a new relationship with each other's partners?"
She did not have high hopes for her parents now. Just look at the little girl who is in the arms of Mama, Dira at a glance guessing when she might be 6 years old.
It's been 6 years, it's been a while...
Hearing Dira's question, both Papa and Mama are reluctant to answer. They lowered their heads to hide the guilt in each other's hearts.
Unable to bear it anymore, the woman sitting beside Papa finally spoke up. She thought it was time for all this to end because she did not want her husband to be bullied by the arrogant girl who was now sitting in front of her. Sania and Askia are much better than Dira. They can both please her husband, while Dira can only trouble her husband.
