The Love of Habib

The Love of Habib
Chapters 9.6

Aish immediately regained consciousness from her daydream. He looked at habib Khalid in shame while shaking his head.

"Alhamdulillah did not arrive, sis." Aish said embarrassedly mixed with pleasure because without habib Khalid, he might have fallen into the water.

Habib Khalid smiled softly. He then pulls Aish along with him, walking carefully through the slippery rocks in the river until they finally climb back ashore.

Along the way Aish's eyes could not turn away from the powerful hand of habib Khalid who was holding his wrist. Habib Khalid's hand strength was indeed strong but did not hurt his right wrist - ah, Aish did not care about it. Because he cared more if at this time he could finally join hands with the habib.

But... is this still referred to as a hand grip?

"Your branch is wet." Habib Khalid's voice instantly drew Aish from his mind.

"Ah.. why?" Aish asked and realized that Habib Khalid had already let go of his hand.

Habib Khalid was amused. His dark eyes looked at Aish's charming face which started to turn red under the watchful eye.

Aish is nervous. His two hands involuntarily began to crumble against each other.

Habib Khalid shook his head. He then took the scabbard off his shoulder and gave it to Aish.

"Your branch is wet, wear this to cover it." Habib Khalid said with the same smile.

Aish was stunned, he lowered his head to see the subordinates of his robe that had been wet even to go up to the thigh and immediately understood why Habib Khalid gave him this holster.

It's just... Aish raised her head looking at the scabbard again.

His eyes twitched stifled seeing the color of the sheath was so striking, the light almost blinded Aish's innocent eyes.

This... is the habib's favorite color green?

Otherwise why would he be able to buy this holster?

"Take it." Habib Khalid shook the scabbard.

Aish smiled calmly and picked it up.

"Thank you, brother." Aish sense of smell instantly captures a very refreshing fragrance, this fragrance provides a feeling of relaxation that can be felt when someone is in the forest.

Very invigorating. Aish immediately fell asleep to make it. He lowered his head slightly down, then inhaled the fragrance in the scabbard in satisfaction.

"Sister Khalid likes green, huh?" Aish asked purely inquisitively.

"I like all colors but the most special is green."

Aish apricot's eyes blinked in wonder,"Why, brother?"

Because according to Aish there are still many colors that are nicer and more pleasing to the eye than green. Aish also thinks that green is too monotonous and tacky, a color that is easy to see wherever they go.

Aish would bet if it wasn't just him who had this opinion. Perhaps most of the human population has the same opinion as him.

However, if habib Khalid does consider it special, he will try to like this color as well even though Aish knows that this color is very ordinary.

It is not extraordinary, but it always brings calm every time the eyes look at it.

"I like it because Rasullullah Saw likes green and once advised us to use green clothes during holidays, for it is said in the Qur'an that the inhabitants of Adn's heaven use green silk. If the beautiful inhabitants of heaven use the color green in dress then why can't we? Isn't that a good thing and favored by the lord of the Sky?" Smiling softly, Aish immediately felt drunk.

Habib Khalid then continued, "In addition the green color is very comfortable in our eyes. Just like listening to the sound of running water to dampen anger, the color green also has this effect inside me. There are times when I feel impatient with my own emotions, and whenever those emotions come I will choose to come here. Sitting by the river listening to the gurgling sound of flowing water and looking at the vast nature before your eyes, rest assured Aish. You will feel much calmer and more peaceful, far from the heart riots that bother you."

A calm and peaceful heart, Aish also wanted to feel this feeling. He used to think that staying in a room stuck in silence was the peace that satisfied him the most. But now hearing what Habib Khalid said, his heart suddenly rippled strangely. He imagined the indescribable inhabitants of heaven, imagining that he was also there. And what was really surprising was that during his mind wandering earlier, his heart involuntarily felt much calmer than he had ever felt.

"Sister Khalid..." Call Aish unconsciously.

Habib Khalid lowered his head.

"What's wrong?"

Seeing her this close, Aish's face began to heat up again. He shook his head timidly while lowering his head.

"There's nothing, brother. I'm just calling." Aish whispered with a blushed face.

Habib Khalid probably understood Aish's nervousness. He smiled amusedly at her shy manner but said nothing to comment.

"Come, sit here." Habib Khalid pulled Aish's arm back to follow him.

He takes Aish to the shade tree where Aish sat before and asks Aish to sit obediently on a rock.

Aish suddenly becomes a fool when pulled away by habib Khalid. He thought his luck only happened once because it was possible that habib Khalid held it earlier due to an involuntary reflex. But seeing the hand of habib Khalid again holding his hand, Aish could not help but wonder in him why habib Khalid was holding it again?

Shouldn't they touch?

"Sit down, I'll take ablution water and pray here."

Aish looked at Khalid's bewildered habib, asking hesitantly, "Sir Khalid wants to pray here?"

Habib Khalid should pray together in the mosque with santri and santriwati as usual. But why is he praying here?

Did Aish misunderstand the meaning of the habib?

Habib Khalid smiled, "Sholat is here. I can't attend congregational prayers because the mosque has started praying since." Habib Khalid explained.

Aish understands.

He asked again, "Is Brother Khalid late because of my nolongin?"

Habib Khalid looked at him in silence. His warm smile never faded from his flawless handsome face, giving Aish an illusion that in the eyes of Habib Khalid there was only himself.

Aish restless. Her cheeks began to swell along with a heat wave that never receded from her red cheeks.

"It's been outlined, so don't think too much about it."
