Finding You, Again

Finding You, Again
David 3 - Old Man and a Fox

Today will be a little different than usual, because the sound of footsteps approaching where I was locked up sounds different.

There were three people, two men and one woman, I know because one of those footsteps was lighter. It doesn't take a sharp nose to guess who they are. I know exactly whose company is coming.

I grabbed a piece of wood left over from the closet and threw it against the wall. The wood was instantly crushed into small pieces.

My anger rose again, considering that it had been a few days since Roan had met me.

Roan said if, The old man would come back one day after, but now it's been more than a day -- maybe even a week -- and the Old Man just met me.

I can guess the reason why he did all this.

The old man wanted, for my spirit to weaken. He wants my soul to be fragile and will obey whatever he wants, in exchange for freedom.

Sometimes the thought comes to mind - especially if I think about Bee-because after knowing I've been locked up in this room\, for a month and a month\, my sense is getting thin.

I've not counted exactly how many days I've spent here. Counting it just made me even more frustrated, and crazy-minded to give up.

One of the footsteps stopped before reaching the door of the room I was in. The lightest sound of the foot stopped.

Huh!!---------ah!

I also know for sure who the owner of the foot is. The fox woman was indeed always clinging to wherever the Old Man went. But he would not dare to approach this room. I told him to stay away from me. I think he still remembers it.

The sound of the iron bars being lifted and the clanking of chains clashing filled my ears for a few seconds. And then the long, tightly shut door moved and revealed a face I hated.

The Old Man and Uncle Egon, standing in front of the door that had opened, then they stepped in. I didn't move in the slightest from where I was sitting - - on the floor and leaning against the wall that used to have a closet there - but I stared warily at the two of them.

"I love the choice of the new decor of your room Duke" Uncle Egon said cheerfully, looking around at the room containing a stretch of wood and shattered cloth scattered.

"Thanks" I replied briefly. I'm not hostile to him, because Uncle Egon is one of the werewolves in this pack who is honest with me, and can understand my desire to make music.

I still looked sharply at the old man, who also spread his gaze around the room. "My plan didn't go smoothly as it turned out" he said, in a slightly disappointed tone.

The damage done in this room does indicate I am still far from fragile let alone weak.

Heeh-I just replied with a pissed-off hiss at her comment. I won't waste my energy just responding to it.

"Do I have to add to Egon's confinement?" he asked, kicking away some wood chips that were around his feet.

"I don't think Zhena* would agree, Alpha" replied Uncle Egon, with a slight bow of his head.

I gritted my teeth withstanding all the insults that appeared, on the tip of my tongue. Of course he came here because of the request from that woman.

I'm sick of hearing that. Nothing has changed in my 8 years. This old man still adored the fox woman blindly.

It's disgusting!!

The old man frowned at Uncle Egon's reply.

"What do you want?" my many.

I just want to know what exactly prompted him to do this. All this time he left me alone, as if I was dead. I had the right to ask what had changed, so he had to drag me back here.

"You already know what I want, you're Scion of this pack" he replied in a high tone, his temperament as bad as mine, of course he had started to lose his temper.

"You are dreaming!! I won't want to be an Alpha on this pack" I replied immediately.

He hasn't changed at all in 8 years. What made him think I would change and take his orders now? Amusingly.

"You don't have a choice! And you know it. Just you "Say him again in a slower tone.

I laughed discordantly at her "Are you going to start begging me now? Don't do that, it doesn't match your character"

That answer will make him go up in blood. But I won't give him a chance to make me sympathetic.

My sympathy for her was dead, when I heard what she did to my mother, to be with the fox woman.

Both of his palms clenched firmly beside the body. I'm sure he's resisting the urge to kill me right now.

For a few moments the room was filled with only a deep breath of him trying to calm down. He also did not want to lose, in this cold war apparently.

We once had this kind of talk with uncontrollable emotions, which eventually only resulted in this issue hanging over for 8 years. I guess the old man also wants to settle this matter with a cool head now.

"I've been giving you freedom for 8 years, to do whatever you want. Is that not enough?" tanyanya flat.

"It's not enough, because I don't want to go back to this pack anymore, and you know that" I replied quickly.

The routine of arguing with Justin, gave the habit of answering instantly, for whatever question was thrown at me.

My answer back made him angry. His eyes glared at me. Had those eyes been able to kill, I would have been crushed into pieces by now.

"What part don't you understand? Huh!! You're the Scion of this pack! You'll be the Alpha in this pack no matter what"

His words almost sounded like a hiss, as he uttered them with gritted teeth holding in anger.

I hate hearing that term. "I never asked to be a Scion on this pack! And just so you know, I hate that title" I said coldly.

"You're the son of this Alpha pack. Ever since you existed, even though it was still a blob, you've been this Scion pack, whether you want it or not. Scion's not something you can choose" he snapped

I let out a dry laugh hearing that.

"You can replace this Zhena pack easily right? Why can't you replace Scion? " me ask in a mocking tone.

"Enough!!!.." he snapped, yapping his Alpha tone.

Automatically, my hair bristles, and I want to bow obediently.

Br*ngs!! I swear in my heart.

As much as I could, I tried to resist the order, keeping my head up. While Uncle Egon had already lowered his head respectfully at the same second the command came.

"Cih...if you want me to think you should have used it from earlier" I said, with great difficulty, because it was still affected by the Alpha tone earlier.

I realized, the blood of Scion in my body, was a factor that made me able to go against his orders. Although not completely immune, at least I am still able to think clearly and refuse to obey.

If there's anything I hate more than being an Alpha, it's an Alpha tone. Absolute power is indisputable, and powerlessness to resist, which is even worse than slaves.

Disgusting!!

When I was 10 years old, I used Alpha Tone for the first time accidentally - Scion also had the ability to bark it, she said, although the effect will not be as strong as Alpha-tone belonging to an Alpha-and make some disciples who bully El fight each other endlessly.

I have no regrets when I used it, because their actions on El were disgusting. But at the same time, I also felt sick of seeing them obediently without being able to think. If the Old Man had not stopped him, perhaps they would have fought to the death.

He was so angry to know I was wearing an Alpha tone carelessly, even if it was an accident. After that, he barked an order forbidding me from using an Alpha tone until now. The order bound me for 14 years.

But since I was so antipathetic to the use of Alpha tones, the ban was never a burden to me.

The old man let out a long sigh, in a disappointed tone.

He also unintentionally barked that absolute order.

He never used an Alpha tone if not in a precarious state - the burden borne will be very heavy, you will be responsible for the life and death of someone when using it, he said, we shared the same dislike about this - But since I offended the woman in a mocking tone, she got out of control.

Romantic, isn't it?!

"You're gonna be the Alpha in this pack, because you're my son, Duke!!" said the Old Man with a heavy voice.

"Keep dreaming Old Man" I said, without thinking.

"BHUGHHH!!!!"

In the next instant, my body floated across the room and smashed into the door mercilessly. He threw me with all his might.

The old man jumped up with lightning speed, then grabbed my body and threw me on the floor. His hands clutched tightly onto my shirt at the neck. Our eyes met, I could see the despair and anger in those bright brown eyes.

The taste of blood filled my mouth.

The sound of a small screech and the door opened averted our eyes. The woman stood there with eyes filled with tears. He must have come because he heard a commotion.

"Stop Owen, let him go!!" he said with a trembling voice.

The next second, I felt the grip on my neck loosen. It's amazing, isn't it? This alpha will follow whatever the woman wants.

Without wasting any time I pushed her body hard, then shifted away from her.

I spat out the viscous blood that was collecting in my mouth, the pain stinging me on the front of my chest. I think some of my ribs are cracked.

The sobs of the woman filled the air. I used to feel sorry for him, but not now. The sound of crying sounded like a mockery of the wounds I had received from my own father.

"Myra, you better get out of here" said the old man. The black-haired headband made him cluck impatiently.

"I won't hurt her again" she said, in a softer voice.

This scene, it might invite a lot of crying for some people, but not me. The nausea that did not come from the blood filled my mouth again.

"You two better get out of here" I said, saturated.

Hearing my words, the old man moved to get closer. But her steps came to a halt as the woman was now tightly gripping her hand while shaking her head.

Without saying anything, the old man grabbed the hand of the fox woman then pulled her out of the room.

"You okay?" asked Uncle Egon who had just been silent in the corner of the room. Now walk up to me and help me sit down. "Do I need to call a doctor?" ask again with a worried tone.

I just shook my head. My ribs will heal in two days, if I don't move much. "I'm fine Uncle, don't worry" I said, with heavy breathing enduring the pain.

The healing power of werewolves is very fast, but the pain remains the same.

"You shouldn't have made him angry like that" he said.

"Sorry, but I'm not going to talk about it right now, Uncle"

An excruciating pain in the chest, agonizing me without pause at this moment. I don't want to start another debate right now.

"Alright, I go first" he said as he patted my thigh softly a sign of concern. He walked out of the room and locked the big door noisily.

I slowly lay down on the floor. Every breath of mine brings a great flow of pain.

I said all the swear words I knew in my heart.

The old man had incredible strength. He became an Alpha not only because of my grandfather's blood flowing to him, but because indeed his fighting skills were also beyond average.

We used to practice sparring when I was at the Academy. And he easily defeated me at that time. When I entered the age of 14, our match practice began to balance, several times I managed to outwit him, but to beat him I still needed 2 years later.

Strenuous physical training and reflex training fought tirelessly, making me manage to beat him back then.

I still remember, her smile was so wide, when I managed to drop her on the ground. He exclaimed in joy while praising me so many times for successfully defeating him.

What a good old days!

The Duke's useless daydream!.

That's the guy who just threw and strangled you. I was annoyed that I couldn't dodge when he attacked me earlier. I saw the movement of his hand, but was too late to dodge.

I always practiced playing with El. But El's strength is unable to keep up with me. I can beat him easily. Now my fight reflexes become blunt.

Hhh... What should I do now? The chance to get out of here and meet Bee goes back to zero.

If I accept his offer to become an Alpha, maybe I'll get out of here. But that means closing all possibilities, to be with Bee.

Bee is just a human! She's a normal woman with a life far from the reach of werewolves like me, or inhumane* in general.

He knew about my werewolf form and accepted it cheerfully. But it won't have any effect on my current problem.

And again, there's no way that Old Man would approve of our relationship. And because the Alpha rapture wouldn't have been possible without a Zhena. That means I have to marry another woman.

Just imagining it makes my blood freeze. I don't want any other woman besides Bee. This reason also makes me less and less willing to be an Alpha in this pack.

The inhumane world and humans have been separated for thousands of years, I am just a rare creature with impossible desires.
