Finding You, Again

Finding You, Again
David 8 - Myth and Mate

"You changed clothes!" roan said, he came in just as I was buttoning a dark blue shirt.

"Of course, you want me out of this place wearing a hospital gown?" I was wondering, sometimes I don't understand Roan's mind.

Hospital dress is very open on the back, of course because it adjusts to its function, which helps the patient more comfortable doing his activities when sick.

"Yes, because it will make the female nurse here happier" he said, giggling mischievously.

"Why?" I still feel confused.

"They get to see your fine back and *ss. That's called a pleasure treat. Within a day the news about what size b*k*ngmu will be widely spread in the pack" he replied as he continued to laugh amusedly.

She's out of the world.. I decided not to respond.

El smiled amusedly at our discussion. There is no morning more beautiful than a morning that begins with a little crazy babble from Roan.

"You look nervous!" el said while looking at my face.

Huh.of course it will not escape the observation of El.

"Yes.to be honest I still don't know what I'm going to do after this El" I took a deep breath.

The ribs are much better, giving me the flexibility to breathe as deeply as I want.

I've looked normal, let alone the cast attached to my leg has been removed by dr. Sidra this morning. But I still feel pain when I try to run.

Dr. Sidra gave me a cruel look, when she saw me trying to run earlier.

As a result, a long lecture about my bones that would be permanently deformed if I tried them again, I had to hear for almost half an hour.

"Forget that woman, and be the Alpha in this pack as you should" Roan said in a flat tone.

"You forgot about something Roan, my werewolf is getting weaker right now. I don't think you want to have an Alpha, which even healing from a broken bone takes a month, right?" ask me with a cynical tone.

Roan pouted hearing my words. "Maybe you're just sick Duke. Maybe if you're desperate, your werewolf will show up automatically?" tanyanya, with an enthusiastic tone.

"The blonde vampire is one step away from cutting off my neck. I think that situation can be categorized as very desperate" my hardened a little hard.

"Stop..!!" And cried El tired.

"Can't we now focus on what's going to happen today? I can't afford to think far ahead at the moment" he said, pleading.

Haah. I throw my breath in annoyance. I agree with El.

I will focus on what will happen today. Fuck the Alpha. For sure, if this is all over, I'm going to London and find out what happened to Bee. Somehow, I'll meet you Bee.

Wait for me Bee...

Half an hour later, I was with El and Roan in a car - El who was driving - to Manor to meet him.. Myras.

Learn Duke! Inner me, I must get used to myself again, to call her Myra.

Uncle Rex said that Myra's condition declined after yesterday's incident.

But he refused to be taken to the hospital. Dr. Sidra said that his condition occurred because Myra was too tired and stressed, with enough rest, then his condition will recover.

So I decided to come see her at Manor, not because I was worried, but because I wanted to hear the full story of what really happened between Myra, she said, My mother - Zhena Juno-and also my father.

This is mess up, my head started complaining out of confusion, I don't know how to call them now. Hhh......

Five minutes later we arrived in front of the manor and were greeted by some omega as well as Uncle Rex.

He hugged me tightly, patting my back.

"We just met last night Uncle, you can't miss me" I said with a smile and returned a fleeting hug.

"I'm just glad to see you standing up Duke, I'm tired of seeing you in a lying position" he replied, smiling broadly.

I quietly looked for a moment at the Manor where I grew up. Not much has changed, but I haven't seen him in 8 years.

The tree where I was swinging from the wheel, was still standing firmly in the right corner of the courtyard. Roan and I used to play it.

The tree where my father built the tree house is also still standing upright on the other side. In the end, the tree house was never used.

Myra said it was too dangerous. My father was a great Alpha, but he was a terrible builder.

Myra forbade me from playing inside the tree house, but my father stubbornly kept saying that the work was perfect. But I prefer to listen to Myra.

The smell of wet soil and maple trees carried another million memories filling my mind for the next few minutes. This house where I grew up for 17 years.

I think I miss him a little.

"Duke" call Uncle Rex while waving. He's already gone in before me apparently, and so are El and Roan. I also stepped up to follow them into Manor.

We headed straight to the main room of the manor. The room was usually occupied by Alpha and Zhena.

Uncle Rex knocked with a large wooden door plan with a wolf head and crescent carved decoration. That's the epitome of this pack, the Blackmoon Pack.

"Come in" Myra's voice spoke from within.

Uncle Rex then entered, and opened the door wide so that we could all enter the room freely.

The last time I went into this room was when I was 16.

I caught my father and Myra being---Hmmmm, which is certain after that I promised myself that I would not enter this room rashly.

And I think my dad also learned to lock the door to this room properly after that.

The room hasn't changed much either. On the surface of the right wall, there is a picture of my father, Myra and I. The photo was taken when I was 11 years old.

Next to her, hung my mother's painting with admirable accuracy. The painting was made after my mother died, by one of my famous painters - an ordinary man - an acquaintance of Father.

The soft sofa is in matching color with a wall and a small table in front of the fireplace, dominating the left side of the room. I also spent a lot of time on the couch.

Myra accompanied me to learn to read -- I had a little trouble reading as a child -- there.

On the big elegant bed, Myra sat leaning against the pillows that had been arranged.

His face was pale, but a small smile adorned him. His eye bags were also reduced. I was glad to see him not crying.

Some omega put small chairs around the bed. I sat to the right of the bed followed by Uncle Rex, El and Roan to the left of the bed. Then the omega bailed out the door leaving the five of us.

I don't know what to say at all. Eight years of hatred left me unable to say anything when I saw it.

Myra nodded, her smile also widening. He looked at me carefully. I wanted to avoid her gaze, but could not. His dark yellow eyes do not follow my body.

I gave up, and returned his gaze. Those eyes started to glaze over when our gaze met. "I miss you" she whispered. I nodded awkwardly.

The feeling of haru, sad and confused as well, clogged up the million words of greeting I wanted to say to him. All clumped in the throat.

"Thanks for coming" he said again, in a louder voice.

I nodded back "I want to hear the story. It's enough that I'm lost in stupidity and lies" I said flatly, trying to make my regrets and grief not take over.

"Actually, I don't know where to start, this story is complicated. And I promised myself to never remember it again!!" he said while frowning.

His eyes looked blankly towards the front, a sign of his wishful thinking having ventured into the past. It won't be easy to tell something you want to forget forever. I can even understand the difficulty.

"What if it starts with your encounter with Alpha?" the Uncle Rex.

For a moment Myra looked at him doubtfully. But then it nodded slowly, and a stream of long stories began to spill from its pale lips.

"As you know, I come from a small pack in the Cloud Forest, Moonrise pack. My dad was the Alpha of that pack. We lived peacefully, for as long as I can remember, the pack was very small as it consisted of only 29 werewolves. The pack wasn't as advanced as Blackmoon, but we lived with enough. I am the youngest pack member, so spoiled by all pack residents"

That's a new fact for me, I don't know if Myra is a Damsel*, she'll be an Alpha in her father's pack. I paused my intention of commenting because, Myra resumed her story after taking a breath.

"The problem arose when I was 21 years old. The witches came to our territory. They made a mess and attacked our pack. Worse, they made a dirty deal with the hunters in the area. That certainly makes us very overwhelmed. We were cornered and almost driven away from our own pack territory" Myra's eyes immediately glazed over again.

The witches br*ngs*k!!. Black Witches were extremely difficult to deal with\, their gimmicks were also very numerous. I'm glad to have befriended some of those good\, the White Witches.

It would be useful if one day I had to deal with a black magician like in Myra's story.

"But we were lucky, one of the Hunters sided with us, the hunter was named Abel. But even with his help, we are still not a balanced opponent for them. Abel finally took the last road. He asked for help on the biggest pack in the world, Blackmoon. My father and I weren't too sure it would work. It is not the custom of the werewolves to help each other, especially Blackmoon pack is a very large pack. There's no way they'll care about the fate of a small pack like us. But Abel convinced my father that Alpha Blackmoon was a good man. I recently learned that they were friends. Your father and Abel are friends"

Oh.. My lifelong father advised me to stay away from hunters. But he was friends with one of them?? That's really bad, Dad.

I smiled a little, and apparently Myra saw it, because she returned my faint smile, I guess she was thinking the same thing as me.

"And Abel was right, your father came with 25 warriors. I dreamt when I saw them. I've never seen that many young werewolves before. The youngest warior in Moonrise is almost 60 years old. I was a bit too excited when I welcomed them" he said with a shy smile.

Roan nodded slowly, as if he understood why Myra was acting that way.

"But, when father introduced me to Alpha Blackmoon, all those warriors became insignificant, even the entire contents of this world besides him, becoming insignificant to me. I have found my world, the charm of 31-year-old Owen swallowed me perfectly. And I knew right then and there, that the world had found me. Owen looked at me unbrokenly during the dinner "

A sad smile was on Myra's lips now.

"But the age of happiness is not long. My world was like death, when Abel cheerfully asked Owen how his wife was doing. I was too careless and hoped Owen had no wife yet, even though with his status as an Alpha it would be impossible. Hearing that, I was blown away in disappointment. For the rest of the banquet, my greatest wish back then was to die. " A bitter tone sounded from Myra's mouth.

"Owen and his warrior stayed for a while in our pack. Tackling witches and deceitful hunters is very difficult. Owen spent his time strategizing with Abel and my father. Whereas I could only look at his figure in the distance, without daring to approach. I won't be able to hold back my feelings when we're close"

Tears slowly flowed down Myra's cheeks, but she wiped them away quickly.

"But the wheel of destiny did not go my way. While I was on guard duty, one of the hunters managed to paralyze and capture me. Apparently they were after me, so they could force me to surrender"

Roan hissed angrily hearing this, he deeply hated the devious ways to win the fight.

"Being their captives was a nightmare, the witches didn't get tired of torturing me, sometimes they even did it just because they were bored, I wish I was dead by then "

"On the fourth day I was taken prisoner, Owen came to save me. Somehow he managed to infiltrate there alone, then we ran away smoothly without being caught by the guards"

"Because of the overflowing emotions, I hugged Owen tightly and was relieved at that moment. I didn't expect to have a chance to see him again. And how shocked I was, Owen returned the hug wholeheartedly. We realized one thing that night------ we loved each other" Myra whimpered with a sigh.

As she said that, Myra's tears seemed to get approval to appear, they raced down those pale cheeks.

"I'm not proud of that, neither is Owen. With all our might we avoided each other. Owen doesn't want to betray Juno and neither do I. We can only look at each other from a distance."

"After a lot of blood was spilled, we finally all managed to defeat the witch and hunter who haunted Moonrise. We are ecstatic. My father held a great celebration in gratitude and also as a farewell greeting to the Blackmoon warriors. And because of the uncontrolled adrenaline, that night we were --we-we-we-we------...."

Myra's voice faltered, implying an overwhelming sense of shame and regret.

"We're understand--continue" said Uncle Rex softly.

"We promised, if that night was the last time we met. Because after all, what we did was a mistake. I was so embarrassed and sorry afterwards. The next day, Owen and the warriors return to Blackmoon. I thought that was the last time I saw her"

Myra's long breath, carrying more and more tears. In her breath that faltered from crying she continued her story.

"After Owen leaves, I don't want to live anymore. I got sick and my body weakened as well. But then I realized, I was pregnant with Owen's son, you. I'm very happy. I don't care when my father is so angry, knowing what I've done with Owen I don't care! All I know is I'm so happy, I could have a piece of Owen. I am determined in my heart to take care of you, with all my heart"

Her crying could no longer be contained. I, who could no longer look at him, looked down deeply to hide my emotions. Everything mixed up in my head, making it throb painful.

"May I continue this story?" The uncle Rex. Myra just nodded weakly.

"When Alpha came back from Moonrise, I knew something had changed about him. I tried to ask, but she refused to tell me. And then just like Myra, your father's health began to decline drastically. I'm half dead wanting to know exactly what happened at Moonrise"

"Until the end all became clear when the envoy from Moonrise came. She brought news of Zhena Myra's pregnancy and also that her condition was now weak. Me and Egon were shocked. But your father was almost soaring excited to hear the news of the pregnancy, and sad because Myra was sick. Until the moment Egon reminded him of Zhena Juno. Your father became very frustrated afterwards"

"For the next few days, your father considered the option of separating from Juno and bringing Myra here. But Egon and the Elders strongly disagreed. Zhena Juno is a Zeta Siewolf. He's been betrothed to your father since they were kids, that position can't be replaced easily. They strictly forbid your father to bring Myra here"

"But then there's something else we have to worry about. Alpha Owen's disease is getting worse. And at its peak, your father was no longer able to transform into a wolf"

I nodded from the seat. My dad's having the same thing as me? Is this some kind of genetic disease or something? Uncle Rex pulled my hand telling me to sit back.

"Yes, this is the same as what you are doing right now, but please listen to this story until it's over. You'll understand later" he said, preventing me from asking further. I sat back obediently.

"The doctor did a thorough examination of your father, even he was taken to the hospital in the human world that has the most complete equipment to find out what causes it. But everything was for nothing, the doctor couldn't find what was wrong with your father's body" he said slowly as he looked at me.

"Some of Zeta's discordant voices* said the disease was a curse, because your father betrayed Zhena. The state of the pack at that time was very chaotic. We are desperately covering up the news that your father has weakened. The greedy hunters and any kind of inhumane will surely come like flies, if the news spreads. After a while, the good news came. Elder Galen knows exactly what caused your father's condition, you know him, don't you?" ask uncle Rex to me.

I'm nodding. Elder Galen was one of the former Beta of the Alpha generation before the father of my great-grandfather. He was a very unique werewolf.

He doesn't live in a modern pack circle. He and his wife chose to build a house in the interior of the forest, although it was still in the pack forest area, but very far from the settlement. He died when I was 9 years old, not long after his wife died.

His wife was killed by a young hunter who was too eager to seek rank.

Elder Galen when he found out about it, replied by chopping the Hunter's body until it became a barely recognizable piece. Two weeks later, he also died. Rumor has it he was seriously injured due to the fight with the hunter.

I was very sad at the time, because we were quite close. He's the only Elder I like about the many Elders there are. Other than him and Elder Firmo, the other Elder was acting very coldly towards me.

"Elder Galen told us, if your father's cause is that he's separated from his Mate"

Me, El and Roan raised their heads and turned to look at Uncle Rex simultaneously, with the same look on their faces.

The look on his face was surprised and astonished. What other nonsense is this??
