Finding You, Again

Finding You, Again
Us 20 - Prepar and Spa Day

"Don't joke Mom! that's a really bad idea!"

I struggled to hold back, so that my voice would not rise.

"No, I want Lui to see what your job is, and also to get her used to the pack life" Mom replied to my words, stubbornly.

I threw my body into the chair tired.

"Mom!! She was terrified and almost hated me, just for seeing me transform. When Brawl shows, I'll do worse than that. Wasn't that a consideration when you planned this?"

I'm obviously riled up, Mom's idea this time is really bad. He wants Bee to watch Brawl tomorrow.

"You underestimated Lui as much as her sister. It was true that he was very frightened back then, but it was the first time he had seen a werewolf. He did not know the slightest bit about the inhumane world before. But the second time he met the werewolves, Lui snapped at them bravely. Can't that be your consideration as well?"

From the look on his face, I felt Mom would not give up. And I can't put forward another rebuttal to argue that fact.

"But I'm afraid he'll come back afraid of me" my rebuttal changed slowly

My promises to the Elders and Abel were ringing in the corners of my brain.

The chances of me getting married to Bee before next week, already have a failure rate of almost 100%. That failure rate will exceed one hundred percent if Bee comes back scared of me.

"The opportunity was very small. She already understood that you were a werewolf, not a monster" Mom lowered her tone looking at my grim face.

"Don't worry, Lui isn't as weak as you might think. She went through a lot and until now she is still growing into a sweet girl. It might be a little bit of a lack of confidence, but she is a tough girl" Mom said, trying to convince me.

Mom already knows the full Oscar story about Bee from me.

Mom cried more than Charlie - - I think Mom's tear glands were a little weak, because they cried too much when Dad died - when I got to the part, the, when Bee's father decides to remove Bee's life support.

"He's your mate Duke. You guys wouldn't be destined to be together, if Lui couldn't accept your life. Lui will learn that if her fear of you is completely unreasonable, she will learn to accept everything about you. Rest assured that he will always be there for you, no matter what you look like" he added, as I had no reaction at all.

I know Mom did all this with a good purpose. He also panicked a little, knowing the agreement between me and the Elders.

But Mom strongly agreed with Abel and the Elders. The meeting will carry the name pack, it would be a shame if I welcome them still as Scion.

He wanted to speed up Bee's adaptation to the pack environment, by watching Brawl.

I looked at Mom who was sitting quietly in front of me. The calmness that comes from the belief that this debate will be won by him, because my rebuttal is no longer heard.

"How do I tell Bee to attend?" I'm resigned.

Mom smiled broadly at my question, which also meant that I agreed to her plan.

"I will prepare everything. You don't have to think about it. You concentrate on the matter of preparing Brawl with El" he said, quickly rising from his seat and exiting my workroom at lightning speed.

As if I was afraid I would change my mind again.

I hope it will go well, I don't have any spare room in my brain to accommodate the new problem at the moment.

"Yra!!!"

I hit him happily when I saw him appear on my door.

I'm glad he looks okay.

"Aww.do you miss me?" god, while returning my embrace warmly.

I nodded without hesitation. I could only walk around the room without doing anything important.

This morning I asked Nora who delivered my breakfast about Myra, she said Myra would return to Manor - They called this house Manor. I agree, because the size of this house is even larger than the Delmora-Mansion this afternoon.

Since then I can't wait for him. I wonder how he is.

"Duke said you were hurt" I looked at him sitting quietly on the sofa. I don't think his body has recovered perfectly.

Myra nodded "Calm down, not an alarming wound. My legs are completely healed now" he explained as he shook his right leg cheerfully.

"But you haven't healed perfectly" I accuse you, remembering her movements while sitting down earlier.

Myra chuckles amusedly."You're starting to sound like my son. I have to make sure I'm okay, so he wants to leave the hospital yesterday" she said.

"He's right, you shouldn't go home if you haven't healed" That's very common knowledge. Myra waved at me to sit next to her and I complied.

I looked at Myra's body carefully. But there was no wound in the open.

"I was injured on Lui's back, there was a werewolf clawing at me there. The wound will heal as soon as the poison is gone" he explained, watching me look at his body.

"Poisons?!!"  I exclaimed in horror.

"Yes, werewolf claws contain poison, not harmful poison, only it will require a longer healing time than ordinary wounds" he replied.

I nodded in understanding. I've gained new knowledge about werewolves.

I would be very happy if there was a special article that discussed this werewolf in full. I spent the next morning looking for articles about inhumane again. The existence of Oscar's phone turned out to be very useful.

But the explanation I encountered was sickening. Most articles only discuss werewolves as bloodthirsty monsters, there are even very wild articles, saying you would be a werewolf too if bitten.

I couldn't help but laugh when I read it. The author's fantasies sometimes make no sense.

"I want to tell you something Lui, and I hope you agree to it" Myra turned serious.

What was?

"You know there weren't some werewolves attacking us yesterday?" ask him carefully.

"Of course, I met one of them. I also saw the shape of the werewolf Tita, its fur was gray and its tail was black. There was another werewolf who helped us, he was black with gray legs, but I don't know who he is"

I'm curious about the werewolf's identity. I'd like to thank them if they meet again.

"The gray-legged werewolf is Id" Myra explained, with a smile growing wider as she looked at me.

Ahh. I understand now.

"From your enthusiastic tone of story, you don't seem to be afraid of werewolves anymore"

Myra grabbed the teacup in front of her, and drank with a smile that never escaped from her face.

"It's still a little scared actually, but my anger overcame everything. They made me unable to go home!!" My annoyance is back.

Moreover, they did it because of a silly misunderstanding, if I was close to the Duke.

If there's anything worth pursuing it's Roan, my inner, bitter.

I'm just bread crumbs falling around the Duke. They should have let me live quietly.

"They are evil werewolves. I'm glad Roan, Tita and the other werewolves caught them all"

There was a hint of pride tucked into Myra's voice that irritated me for no reason.

Roanna was not only beautiful, but also easily defeated the werewolves that attacked us yesterday.

I am even more insignificant than just crumbs when compared to him. This pitiful human body of mine, can only run and hide when all that happens. Ugh!!

"That's good news!" I raised my tone, to make it sound more cheerful.

There was no point in thinking about Roanna and Duke. Not wrong again, they are a good match.

"Yes, I'm happy too. And tomorrow they'll serve the penalty for all the crimes they committed"

Oh... they don't need to undergo a complicated court system like humans? But that's natural, because they're not human.

"Do you want to attend the punitive event? The show will be a little brutal, but also very interesting" Myra asked as she glanced at the window.

"Can I attend it?" ask me with doubt. I am a guest here, after all.

"Of course, I'll be there, too. And if in the middle of the show you can no longer see it, I will escort you back to Manor" Myra explained as she nodded excitedly.

"Hmmm... Did you mention brutal?" He offered me to go home, if I couldn't see him anymore. I can't imagine what kind of punishment the assailant was sentenced to. Suddenly I was scared.

"Well, long story short, they'll be put to death, through a fight".

I cringe at hearing it. "Death sentence!?"

They were guilty of attacking this house. But that doesn't mean they deserve death.

"Because they're Lui's traitors. Before yesterday's incident, their gang and several other inhumane creatures attacked this pack and killed Alpha, the Duke's father" Myra was overcome with anger.

"Oh my God!!" I cried out, covering my mouth with my hands.

Duke's Dad? It's depressing. My unstable emotions, took over quickly and made my eyes water.

You don't even know him Lui..!! I warned immediately.

But it's very sad news, I can imagine how Duke feels. I was completely devastated when I heard about Mom's death first. Duke must have experienced the same.

"Are they close? Duke and his father I mean. She--- must've been pretty hit" I choked up a little, trying to hold back the tears.

To my surprise, Myra's tears also flowed down slowly.

"Yes, they're very close. But the one that definitely lost Alpha Owen hurt the pack. Therefore the Duke handed down the punishment" Myra tried to wipe away her tears.

"Oh Myra.." I hugged her, hoping her tears would subside.

I think Duke's father is a very great man.

He must be a very outstanding leader, so that he could make his pack members as sad as this, when he died. Myra's hand that was holding me tightened, though,

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't vent my sadness in front of you" she said, breaking out of my arms. He's calmer.

I shook my head "I don't mind at all". I'm glad I could be a little useful to Myra. He helped me a lot here.

"Hows it? Would you like to attend the show?" ask again. He rubbed his face and straightened his white hair as before.

"Oh...." I almost forgot about it, because of Myra's cry.

I will not forget the sight of Kaindra's tummy being torn off just yet, not to mention the head fragment that landed on my cheek.

But I also want to see how they're in the law. They got Duke's father killed, not to mention making me unable to go home.

Wait a minute!!.

"Does this mean after this no one will come after me anymore? And I can go home?" my many.

And strangely, disappointment infiltrated my heart. I don't want to go home so soon.

"Ah.. It's not that easy Lui. The ones here are just the remains of a traitor who was deliberately left to spy on the pack. Other than them, some others were outside the pack, like Egon. We don't know where she is" Myra replied, with a face of disdain as she called out Egon's name.

A very unexpected sense of relief infiltrated comfortably in my heart. I don't have to get out of here right away.

My sanity should obviously be questioned. How could I be happy to hear that news?

"alright... But I hope you're always with me when the show goes on" I replied, I'll enjoy my stay here to the fullest.

Attending a fighting event will probably be a unique recreation.

Myra guaranteed to take me away anyway, if it was really bad.

That's enough for me.

Myra hugged me tightly while laughing happily.

"Because you've agreed, it means we're going shopping now" Myra pulled me out of the room without giving me a chance to refuse.

---------- *0o0*----------------

"How'd they? Ready for tomorrow's show? I don't want to fight a weak werewolf" I asked, to El who approached me at Manor's door.

I was about to head to the dungeon to catch up with him, but El came back sooner than I thought.

"It's ready, there are some who are still weak. But Dr. Sidra gave special care to them earlier. He said the patient would be normal tomorrow" El explained.

"And at least they are silent now" he added.

"They'll be very sorry once the show starts. Of course they'll be quiet now" I can't wait, to comb their bodies with my fangs.

"Are you going to kill them all?" el asked, with a tense face.

"It depends what I see in their minds. I'm pretty sure about Amon, but for the others, I'll consider their regrets"

I will not carelessly reduce the number of warriors when Blackmoon faces a major war any minute.

In this attack, we have already lost 5 warriors-three at the hands of Roan-all from the enemy side fortunately. But I still do not want to increase the number of victims in vain, even from their side.

"You have to work hard through their minds. It will be very tiring" said El, he was worried.

Work down the werewolf mind is not as easy as it says.

I need to know exactly what I'm going to look for, so there's no need to waste a lot of energy. Sharing your mind as an Alpha is very energy draining. Unlike when I talk to El or Roan.

"What would you use as a 'anchor' when Brawl?" ask El again, in a probing tone now.

Anchor is a distraction memory, a time when I have to stop the flow of thoughts I don't need to share. The thought that became my place back when I was swept away in another sea of werewolf thoughts.

"I imagine when I have to see my father's body stretched stiff with his chest split" I replied, slowly.

Not a joyous thing, but sadness and loss, will eliminate the influence of other emotions that attack me. The side benefit, dispelling my doubts, was about to break Amon's neck.

"Good choice!" He approved my choice.

I actually wanted to choose happier memories, but the strongest happy memories I had were with Bee, and this was a forbidden topic for me to think about when Brawl would be.

Thinking of Bee weakens my brain control.

I can share all the details of my love story with the general public. Imagining it gives me the creeps.

"How did the pack respond to Bee?" my question, take your mind off that shameful shadow.

"Oh---Most of them are very curious to see Lui . I don't think they have much issue with their human status. The current generation is very used to them. Most of the pack's citizens work together with the humans at Monath. And since you had convinced the elders yesterday, the werewolves with gentry status were silent as well" replied El.

"But for sure, you get them excited about bringing something new into this boring pack" he added with an amused smile.

Their attitude was more or less the same as Mom's. To them, the news of me carrying a human as Zhena, just adds to their curiosity about what will happen after this.

Generations of pack citizens under my father's rule, indeed more often intersect with humans. Especially since more and more pack citizens work at Monath Camp Ground and also the maple syrup factory located several tens of kilos from here.

After all, all consumers and some of their coworkers are human. The total number of werewolves here, will not be enough to build a factory.

While the Iota and Theta would do nothing, if the elders did not order. I think it's safe enough for Bee to come to Brawl.

A rather awkward sight was present in front of Manor's door.

I stepped aside to give way to Mom and Bee who walked together. More precisely, Mom pulled Bee's hand to follow her.

I looked at Mom questioningly. "Where are you guys going?" I took turns staring at Mom and Bee.

"To the city, we have to prepare for tomorrow" Mom replied deftly.

I recognized the horrified mimic that appeared on Bee's face. He hates shopping or going to the salon. And I think Mom's gonna do both now.

Without hearing any explanation, Mom pulled Bee's hand back and passed. I can only shake my head to see it. I hope Bee can accept Mom's spirit later.

"Call Tita and tell her to follow them" I whispered to El.

Mom wouldn't like it if I told people to take care of them. But I don't want to let my guard down, after yesterday's incident.

El nodded once and passed. I have to check some of the preparations for tomorrow's event. Otherwise, I'd be happy to stalk Bee.

---------- *0o0*----------------

I squirm amusedly as one of the spa employees rubbed my feet to start the pedicure process.

I've never done this before, of course the touch on the foot makes me tickle.

I am now in the salon for a full spa treatment. Myra was in front of me enjoying a warm water massage on her newly healed leg.

"I've never seen toenails shaped like this" said Julie, a salon employee who takes care of my feet. He examined my thumb nails with interest.

"Oh. I used to be a ballerina. I spent hundreds of hours standing with my thumb" I explained, looking down at my feet.

My toes look flat, not rounded. Exercise results for hundreds of hours.

Julie nodded in understanding.

"I'm sorry to hear you have to stop dancing Lui" Myra looked at me with sympathy.

I nodded "A pretty heavy blow, but I'm fine now" I said. Myra nodded and did not discuss it further.

I think he understands my reluctance to talk about it. Myra then stepped into the other room, as her foot care was complete.

Putting aside the fact that we were in the middle of the forest, the salon I was in right now, had a complete set of equipment that was very modern.

I was stunned to see various tools that I could not name. This salon is more properly referred to as a beauty clinic.

I realized more and more, my assumption about this pack is very wrong. The view all the way up here, opened my eyes.

Myra used a mini car to get me here. The car is a kind of golf car but without a roof, so I can see the contents of this pack better.

The building I've seen other than Manor is a hospital.

And on my way from the hospital yesterday, I couldn't concentrate on seeing the sights, because my brain was busy criticizing the stupid actions I had done.

From my observations, this pack looks like an independent small town. Complete with markets, shops and also the salon where I am now located.

For residential areas, they are scattered in several places, Myra showed me some of them earlier.

The completeness of this pack is like an urban area, but the scenery, more like a beautiful rural area, with large trees that shade the road. Not to mention the parks located at various angles further beautify the scenery. A perfect combination in my opinion.

I really like it.

But there is a stark difference between this pack environment and ordinary urban, that is, most buildings are made of wood. Only a few of the buildings I saw were using cement walls, one of which was a hospital.

As we arrived at an area that looked like the city center, complete with a large fountain with bronze wolf statues, Myra began to be busy replying to the greetings of the citizens we met on the street.

Maybe because the size of the pack is not too big, it seems like everyone knows Myra.

I complained a little in my heart, when Myra turned out to take me to the boutique. But then I was relieved, because Myra only took me to one store.

But it turns out that the number of clothes I tried, almost the same as when I was shopping with Jovi. I was more and more astonished then, how were they the many choices of dresses within the forest like this?

But there's one thing that makes me uncomfortable.

Everyone we met greeted me warmly, they didn't talk much to me, but I could see them stealing glances at me curiously. Like I was an antique display.

I wish they would stop doing it. I feel so uncomfortable with all that attention.

I don't mind the hundreds of pairs of eyes that look at me on stage when I dance. But other than that, I did not enjoy excessive attention at all.

It's a little torturous.
