Finding You, Again

Finding You, Again
Again 12 - Bond's

"I knew you'd like it"

Sorrel smiled widely, seeing Lui speechless. When he saw the stick that was a few meters from where he stood.

"That's mine?" Lui asked once more.

Sorrel nodded in confidence.

The wand was made of translucent ice, with a blue glow in it. A little higher than Lui. At the end was carved ice with a thin circle shape with a hole in the middle, below which a jet-black leaf carving supported the circle .

Lui still gaped in amazement, even though she had been staring at the cane hovering above the lake, for more than a few minutes.

They are currently in Green Palm Lake. A few days ago Sorrel moved the training ground here, because practicing in front of an artificial pool, did not make any meaningful progress.

Sorrel takes Lui to a larger water source.

"You made it? " ask the Duke as he walks closer with all four feet.

Usually he just drove and picked up Lui, but this time Sorrel asked her to stay.

Sorrel himself used his usual magic to reach the Green Palm. The distance to the lake could still be occupied easily without a cane, as he only carried himself.

"No, Dihyan made it and sent it here. I won't be able to right now" he replied, with a proud face showing off Dihyan's abilities.

"The "stick usually had to be made by each elf by cultivating his strength. But for Lui, I made some adjustments by borrowing Dihyan's power and of course your strength" Sorrel said pointing at the black-colored part on the stick.

The Duke snorted remembering how Sorrel asked for his blood yesterday.

He had to take pains to divert his mind, because automatically his brain questioned Sorrel's state, if it had to do magic involving his blood again.

Sorrel almost jumped up happily when he noticed how Duke was worried about him.

According to him, Duke should express such feelings more often, so that it does not look too creepy.

The Duke of course immediately left Sorrel before he finished that annoying speech. And now, he must be happy, because in Duke's heart was relieved, his blood did not make Sorrel worse.

He smiled looking at the black wolf Duke. However Sorrel did not want to discuss Duke's feelings, he turned his attention to Lui, having to start the lesson immediately.

"But you can't just have Lui, you have to work a little harder"

Sorrel touched the surface of the ice, which as usual immediately melted to reveal a deep green surface. Lui immediately complained inwardly, of course this would not be easy.

The wand is not disturbed by the loss of ea. It stayed floating on the water miraculously. Lui did not want to think about how much time it would take her to be able to perform such magic.

"I don't mean to make this difficult, but the stick holder has to reach a certain level, so that the stick can function properly and you haven't reached it yet. The stick will be very helpful in focusing your power, it will be useless if you still have trouble getting it out, right? Don't worry you can" Sorrel said, excitedly.

Duke begins to doubt Sorrel's very positive learning method.

"You tell me" Lui said, feeling the Duke's hesitation inside his head.

Lui also began to feel very stupid, because her achievements were very slow, although Sorrel was already very sympathetic in teaching.

"You don't realize that I can hear everything you're thinking?" sorrel.

"Of course!" The Duke quickly replied.

"I forgot" Lui lamented inwardly, noting how she had to work harder if she wanted to better adjust to the inhumane world . The soon!

"Don't worry, Bee, you're adjusting well. Sorrel's level of strangeness is indeed in a higher level than other inhumane" comforted Duke.

"Come here!" Sorrel waved his hand, "You're also Duke, and please go back to being human" he added.

Lui who was already standing in front of Sorrel closed her eyes, when she saw the slowly changing form of the Duke.

"Is there anything else now?" ask Duke to Sorrel,

"There's no need to close your eyes, you've seen everything" Duke added more slowly, near Lui's ear while wearing the trousers he carried.

Lui gave him a small pinch on Duke's waist in panic. He did not want Sorrel to read his mind when imagining the Duke's body.

"Don't worry Lui, you'd be surprised how often I hear such thoughts from others" Sorrel said with a big smile, as of course Lui failed to set her mind.

"Perver!!!" exclaiming Duke looked towards Sorrel, frowning. He did not like how Sorrel casually read minds about something he should not have heard.

While Lui was eager to flush her head with lake water so that her mind was clear again.

Sorrel simply smiled in response to the diverse thoughts of Lui and Duke. After Lui was able to calm down, Sorrel continued his lesson.

"I realized something. Lui's power comes with your blood, Duke. Therefore, I think Lui will be able to better manage that power with your help. After all, most of the inhumane portion in Lui's body came from you" Sorrel explained

"And?" The Duke replied impatiently, Sorrel's explanation was difficult to understand, he wanted a clearer practice.

"I'll teach Lui to create a magic circle, so that she can connect with the power that is the source, which is your body. Don't worry it's just a simple magic circle" Sorrel put a damper on Lui's worries.

Lui wasn't sure she could produce a magic circle, she had never seen it directly aside from the Duke's memories.

Sorrel waved his hand and a blue-colored circle appeared in the snow.

Clearly the simple description according to Lui was very different from Sorrel. The circle was filled with various complicated symbols that he had just seen this time.

Sorrel smiled at Lui's thought.

"Humans who first learned magic also have the same thoughts as you and I remember how they had to work hard mastering a magic circle. But that's because they're ordinary people. While you're not. You may still need to memorize all the meanings of those symbols, but you'll be amazed how they will appear with just a little concentration from you. The symbol will form by itself when you call it"

Alright, Lui was insisting on her unanimous determination in heart. Successful or not at all. There is no middle way. Sorrel exclaimed happily at Lui's assertion.

Sorrel then began a long explanation of the meaning of the various symbols in the circle.

Lui repeatedly wanted books and pencils to record everything. But Sorrel refused, because he thought it was too human, and it would hinder Lui later.

Duke was eager to help ease Lui's burden, but he couldn't do anything. This was a difficulty that Lui herself had to go through.

Lui had to rack her brains this time. Some symbols are almost similar, both in meaning and form. And Lui should be able to summon them in the right order, or the magic circle will not be perfectly formed.

"Good!!' sorrel exclaimed after three long hours and exhausted Lui's brain. "You want to try it now?"

"Eh..." Lui was unprepared for the sudden test.

"Don't worry, try swinging your hand and remember, the order has to be right" Sorrel slightly moved away from Lui.

Lui instantly felt like a failure when her hand swings in empty air, producing nothing.

"Don't give up Lui. Close your eyes if it helps. Concentrate on the name and shape of the symbol you want"

Lui closed her eyes and remembered all the complicated names she had learned earlier.

"In order!" Sorrel reminded him again, because random symbols will not produce anything.

Alpha

Blood (Blood)

Bestow (Govering)

Chain (Chain/Bond)

Water (Water)

Gain (Receive)

Bond (Female)

Lui managed to recall the main element of the spell correctly, and now there were still dozens of auxiliary elements that she had to remember.

One minute.two minutes.

"Yes!"

Lui heard Duke's cheers and opened her eyes.

Before him was a magic circle that was very identical to what Sorrel had put out. Lui almost cheered happily, though,

"Don't...!" Sorrel warned, "You must concentrate on keeping the circle intact"

Lui immediately shut her mouth, and turned a hundred percent of her attention to the circle. I don't want to waste his hard work.

"Now point your hand at the Duke's body. Remember with a steady wave" Sorrel said again.

With full concentration, Lui directed the circle that was now shifting following her hand. The duke stood even more upright, as the circle slowly approached his feet, he was about 3 meters away from Lui.

"Lock!'s!' lui exclaimed as the center of the circle was right under the Duke's feet.

A stinging coldness spread throughout his body.

"Change" Sorrel ordered. And Duke according to.

Once again the Duke wolf manifested itself in a complete circle with the luminescence of blue light between its feathers.

"What's that?" Lui asked while widening her eyes.

"Your strength is Bee" replied the Duke.

"What do you feel?" lui asked, worried that Duke might push himself.

"Great?"

Duke had not felt the sting of pain at all, and his body felt lighter than usual. The duke jumped several times to confirm what he was feeling.

His body changed a little.

He was even sure he would be able to easily jump over the lake that had a width of more than 15 meters. The duke wanted to try, but was afraid that it would disperse Lui's magic.

The duke looked astonishedly at the magic circle below him then turned to look at Sorrel, who was now walking up to them with a satisfied smile.

"Do you like it?" he asked, looking at the two of them.

"I opened a two-way relationship. That's why you'll also feel a bit of Elf power when Lui does her magic. Some of your strength will undergo a pretty decent upgrade" Sorrel now rubbed his hands, with a smile that reached the ears.

His satisfaction is no longer contained. His spell worked very well.

"That was great!" The duke could not help but praise Sorrel now. He recognizes the magic of Sorrel.

"Oh.. I'm glad you took my advice to praise me more often" said Sorrel, who was sworn in by the Duke.

"Pace!" Lui warned him, in shock.

He knew the Duke liked to curse, but never did so blatantly in front of him. Mindlink opens the other side unknown to him.

"Oh. sorry"

Duke. Lui could hear it now, too. He had to learn not to curse too much while being in the wolf form after this. The Duke complained inwardly.

"Cursing only gives satisfaction to yourself, but it will be very disturbing to others, Pace. You have to learn to hold it" Lui critiques.

With voluntary memory Duke jumps to the moment Oscar swears at him with words that make his ears curly.

"Oscars? that was Oscar?" Lui asked in disbelief. He never imagined that Oscar would be able to take out such a dirty curse.

Duke laughed in satisfaction, he did not want to drown alone.

"Can we go back to the lesson" said Sorrel, as the minds of the two of them were already far washed away.

"I'm sorry" said Lui again looking at Sorrel and concentrating again on his lesson.

"As you can see, after you managed to lock the circle on Duke. You no longer need to concentrate on him. That way, you can freely focus your attention on the ice power you are about to unleash"

Lui nodded at the circle that was now faintly glowing under the Duke's feet.

"Try freezing the lake water so you can reach for the stick"

Lui closed her eyes and concentrated.

"That's enough....!! " Sorrel suddenly exclaimed in amusement.

Lui opened her eyes and was stunned for the umpteenth time today. The lake froze perfectly, as did the entire snowfield and the trees around the lake. Many spruce leaves are curved because of the snow that solidifies, making their load heavier.

Everything around Lui froze perfectly, except Sorrel and Duke!

"I miscalculated your power explosion. It's good of course, but you have to work hard to control it. If not, then it could be that you will also freeze the entire Duke's army during the war" Sorrel still sounded amused, looking around the lake.

"I'm not freezing" Duke said as he lightly moved his legs.

"You're immune of course. Alpha blood being part of Lui's power, there's no way that power will hurt you"

Sorrel rolled his eyes at the question he thought was unnecessary.

"Thank God!!" Lui exclaimed loudly. He would be very sorry if he accidentally froze the Duke.

Lui knew how bad Kamaria was due to the explosion of her power. Kamaria had recovered completely of course. He decided to leave for Quebec early.

Lui did not want to know what reason was behind her decision.

"Get the stick" Sorrel pointed towards the lake.

"Bee be careful, slippery" said the Duke seeing Lui walking quickly.

The whole place is covered in ice. It was not a good idea to walk quickly on it Lui nodded hearing the Duke. He was happy to wear boots.

Lui does not feel cold indeed, but the habit of wearing a boot during the winter that has been in effect for almost his entire life will be difficult to change. Now those shoes make it easier to step on the ice.

Lui grabbed the wand, and a strange feeling permeated her. His body was again fed with the usual coldness, but there was a slight ticklish sting following him. It wasn't enough to panic him, but his hair stood up feeling the sting.

"Come here!" Sorrel called him back.

Lui lifted the stick and walked a little awkwardly, but after a few steps, she started getting used to the knock of the stick to the ground.

"You look amazingly beautiful"

The duke praised the sight of Lui walking back while carrying her cane. Lui's figure reminded her of the witch character commonly portrayed by humans in general. Lui's aura was so magical, cold and beautiful as well.

"Pace" Lui's face flushed red upon hearing that thought. He wanted to concentrate on completing his lesson. It would not help, if the Duke continued to sing praises in his head.

"Can't help it" Duke could only grimace guiltily.

"Well, since it's complete, now we're going to practice so that Lui can get the magic circle out faster" Sorrel messed up their friendly conversation, for the second time.

Lui smiled wryly, imagining the many symbols she had to put out simultaneously.

But the Duke approved Sorrel. Within six minutes, the vampires would have finished slaughtering half of his army..

"Well..thanks for the info" Lui glanced in annoyance as Duke subconsciously added to the burden of his responsibilities.

"Sorry, again. Hey, can I go back to being human?" ask Duke. He didn't want to bother Lui.

Unfortunately Sorrel shook his head, "Your human body will feel pain from the pull of Lui's power. You must remain in the form of a wolf while in the spell. And FYI, your only trousers have been smashed" Sorrel said pointing to a piece of cloth near his leg.

*"Oh.. cr"

Duke only brought one pair of pants here. He must maintain his form until he returns to Manor.

"The distraction from your mind would be a good exercise for Lui, she should be able to concentrate under any circumstances" Sorrel said without any weight.

Lui could only shrug her shoulders. It was his choice to practice this magic. He will work hard to master it.

The three of them continued to train until the sun was almost drowned. At this point Lui was already able to form a magic circle quite quickly. He was also able to lock the circle appropriately, even though the Duke was in a running state.

There were some miss spells but his achievements today far exceeded what he had achieved over the past few days.

The existence of the stick really helped him. His strength flowed more easily when using it.

Lui's heart bulged with happiness as they walked slowly back to Manor, her hands clutching tightly onto the stick that was on her lap.

Sorrel promised to teach her space magic so she wouldn't have to carry that flashy wand anywhere. And he thinks it's a good idea. Lui doesn't want to be the center of attention for it.

"What if we just go back to the cabin? I'm lazy to go back to Manor!" duke's proposal interrupts Lui's mind. He knew Lui was very tired from the training,

"And make Myra angry? He had already insinuated us a bit earlier, because we were rarely at Manor" Lui reminded Duke how Myra's face was when they had not appeared at Manor at all two days before.

The duke sneered in annoyance, but accepted Lui's thought. He knew his mother would continue to sue, if they did not comply.

Earlier morning. Myra clearly refers to Duke as a selfish kidnapper, because according to her, Duke has kept her from meeting Lui for several days. Exaggerated accusations of course, but what could he do?

Their days were very congested, Lui was busy with training in Green Palm, whereas Duke had to divide his time between training and also preparing the troops. Including exhausting selection.

Many werewolves are desperate to follow the selection, just because they want to fight, but do not have good self-control. Duke can't carry a werewolf that can explode at any time in front of humans. They might screw up the airport later.

But at least all the preparations have been completed, or the Duke hopes so, because tomorrow is the time for them to depart.

One more step, and he'll meet Egon and Crispin.
