"Where is this?"
When Gisel opened his eyes he only saw the ceiling of a room he did not recognize. Plain white, without the crystal lights that were usually in his room.
The room is not dark. Gisel could immediately tell the brightness of the room was caused by sunlight entering through the window. The problem was the plain white curtains surrounding this bed that blocked the sunlight from entering it.
"Hospital. It must be in the hospital. Only hospitals have ginian kayak curtains" Gisel thought.
Gisel tried to remember what had just happened to him before. He was driving his car to the office. Today there is an important meeting. His secretary had already called him from this morning reminding him of that. The phone came in continuously non-stop from his coworkers.
It was too difficult to take a call while driving, therefore Gisel looked for his earpod. When he was about to install it, the earpod was thrown and then fell down. He tried to find her under his feet. His stupid mistake was that he didn't pull over his car while doing that.
Gisel continued to hear the sound of the horn sounding. But he's still trying to find his earpod. Just as Gisel found him, he saw a truck driving towards him.
Gisel tried to bend the steering wheel of his car, but somehow the car did not turn. Same with the brake pedal. Gisel pressed him many times, but did not stop. And the collision was inevitable.
Brake !!!
When he woke up, he was already in this room. Of course, this is definitely a hospital.
But ... "My stupid secretary must have closed all these curtains. I don't know what's in his head until he has to shut it all down" Gisel thought.
Sayup-sayup, Gisel heard the conversation of two women. He did not know who the owner of the voice was.
"It doesn't seem like that idiot. His voice sounded younger. One is too old. Who are they?" he thought curiously.
They are whispering. Gisel tried hard to listen to their conversation.
"May this boy trouble me. Was he intentionally suicidal?," the voice of the older woman sounded extremely angry.
"Yes, Ma. Dead is dead. We don't have to bother taking care of her" this time the voice of a younger woman.
Plaque! "Of ..."
There was the sound of a hand patting someone's body. If he heard the complaining voice of the younger woman, it seemed like he had just been struck by her mother.
"You're crazy, huh? Have you forgotten the contents of the will?"
"Wish letter? What will? Who's dead? I'm not dead!!, "inner Gisel.
"We talk outside. He'll wake up."
After Gisel heard the sound of the door closing. Slowly, Gisel opened his eyes. He made sure for a moment that no one else was there. Then, with a quick movement he raised his body.
"Oh ..," said Gisel as he held his head. Apparently the sudden upward movement caused his head to feel pain. He felt something wrap his head.
"Oh, yes .. I think my head was hit by the steering wheel earlier," he thought.
"But who was just here? Who're they? Why are they here? Don't they know this is someone's room? Talk in people's rooms. Not polite!"
As Gisel was about to descend from his bed, his attention was fixed on the shadow that appeared on the TV hanging above him. The TV was dead, so the whole corner of the room appeared on the TV like a mirror.
What Gisel was thinking was not the shadow of his room, but the shadow of himself that he saw on that TV. Although it looks distant and unclear, Gisel knows it is not his shadow. Not at all like her.
Gisel made sure once again that what appeared on the TV was a shadow of him. But, still, it did not look like him at all. Who is in that shadow?
"AAAHHHH!!!," cried Gisel as loudly as he could.
Suddenly the door to his room opened. A half-old woman walked into her room along with a teenage girl. Gisel didn't know them all.
"YAHHHH !!!" Once again Gisel shouted even louder than before.
Shortly after, the nurse came up with a panicked face. "What's wrong? Why yell?"
"Who are you?!?" cried Gisel looking at the two women he did not recognize.
Both mother and son were shocked to hear Gisel's question.
"You forgot your mom? This is my mother" said the woman.
"Since when have I had a mama as bad as you?," Gisel snapped with an uncomfortable look.
"God! You don't be so rude to my mama, yeah," the girl now also snapped.
"She's your mama, why do I? Who are you?" Gisel continued yelling at the two women.
The other nurses started coming one by one. The first nurse seemed to understand the situation.
"Come to the doctor. Tell him there's a complication in room 31 patient," the nurse's order was immediately implemented by another nurse.
Half an hour later, the doctor came to check on Gisel. The two women were still there looking at Gisel with fearful gazes, as Gisel kept staring intently at them. Gisel was uncomfortable with the presence of the two women.
"Everything's normal. No problems with her vital condition. It could be because of a wound to his head. There's a chance he's amnesiac" explained his doctor.
"What amnesia? I am not amnesiac! I don't really know them. How can that be said amnesia?," snapped Gisel who glared at the doctor.
"You're really a doctor, right? What kind of diagnosis is that? Amnesia?" cried Gisel.
The doctor asked for a mirror to the nurse beside him. After that, he faced the mirror to Gisel.
Gisel saw his reflection on the mirror clearly this time. It was clearer than he had seen from the shadows on the TV earlier.
"Do you know who's in this mirror?" the doctor asked.
Gisel looked at his shadow with goosebumps all over his body. How could he see a different shadow than he usually saw every day? Who was the person he saw in the mirror?
"Do you know the name of the person in the mirror?" asked the doctor again.
Gisel was still goosebumps looking at the mirror. He shook his head to answer the doctor's question. He didn't know who he was seeing.
"Your name is Kanaya. Ever heard?"
"Kanaya? Me? How could it be?" thought Gisel.
"They're your mom and your sister. Clara and Nabila's mother. Is there something you remember?"
"Who else is that? I have a mother, but not Clara by name. And I don't have a brother. I'm an only child!" cried Gisel in his heart.
"So, it's clear. You're amnesiac" the doctor said, confirming once again his last diagnosis.
Gisel looked at the doctor with a look of disbelief. "What kind of empty tooth is this?," Gisel's inner self still did not accept this reality.
"I'll decide if he's amnesiac or not."
The voice of a man suddenly broke the silence that occurred in the room. The middle-aged man stood behind the two women who had just been named Clara and Nabila.
"This time who else is he?" cried Gisel repeatedly in his head.
