I'm Not a High School Boy
CHAPTER 25: The Secret Plan of Gisel

Gisel continuously looked at the window of his room facing directly to the front fence of his house. From there he could see and confirm on his own, whether Clara, Nabila, and Adrian had actually left.

Today is the day of their departure for a holiday to Thailand. It is also Gisel's initial plan to get them out of the house.

By saying that they won vacation tickets for three people, Clara was finally able to get out of the house easily. Yes, although it's not that easy.

Clara did not believe in the person who sent the gift. He thinks he is being deceived. But, for that reason why Rey sent the best seller in her company. To easily persuade people like Clara. And it turns out, it worked!

On the day of his departure, Gisel continued to be in the room to avoid unnecessary conflict with Clara or with Nabila. But the noise was heard all the way to the room. Therefore, every moment the atmosphere suddenly became silent, he looked up at the window to make sure they had truly set off.

"What are they doing, anyway? Long time indeed!," whispered Gisel annoyed. Even the time had already shown at ten, they still had not left. Tickets are booked for a twelve-hour flight. If it was too late, Gisel was forced to ask his airline to delay his flight, so that they could actually depart.

Fortunately, Gisel didn't have to do that. Five minutes since Gisel last checked the front fence, this time they had actually set off. Gisel saw for himself they got into the car and set off after that. He can breathe a sigh of relief.

The plan can now be executed immediately.

Gisel's plan was to get rid of everything that Kanaya was weak in. If none of that, then Clara wouldn't have a gun to point at her.

Clara threatens to destroy all of Emma's belongings. Therefore, he would use one of Skylar's empty warehouses to store those items. At least for the time being, those items would be safe there.

Another threat is Bik Idah and all those who work in that house.

Gisel thought, with all the treatment of Clara and Nabila to Kanaya so far, the existence of Bik Idah could be a friend to Kanaya while at home. The way Bik Idah treated her might make her feel less alone anymore. Therefore, Clara threatened him to use them.

And because of that, Gisel was forced to make them no longer there.

"Where will they be taken?" asked Rey as she came to visit him.

"They'll stay at my house. They said they wanted to wait until his condition was better, so I advised them to stay somewhere else. I asked Bagas to deliver it as if it belonged to an acquaintance."

Rey seemed to be thinking of something, as the man was silent for quite a while.

"What's wrong?" asked Gisel.

"Do Mr. Bagas already know you ...,"

"Yes" replied Gisel. "I have to tell him if he wants to help me. At least I don't have to worry he'll suspect me. Adit and Tika are the ones who suspect I'm exhausted."

"How did you tell him?"

"I asked Mr. Rendi to explain. At least they know each other. Adit and Tika, their children are best friends. So, Mr. Rendi's explanation can be easily accepted by Bagas," explained Gisel.

While releasing his tiredness after a busy day, Gisel stared at every inch of the house from where he sat. The big house now feels very quiet.

"Are you sure you're gonna do this? You'll be alone in this house after this" Rey asked suddenly.

Gisel nodded his head. "Ehm, I have to do it so I can fight Clara. It's easier to fight it if I don't carry anything on my shoulders."

Rey didn't say anything. He just looked at Gisel. Looking at him for too long makes him feel wrong.

Gisel slightly moved his head. "What?" he asked slowly.

Rey did not answer. He was still staring at Gisel. After a while, he shifted his eyes.

Then he said, "Go to sleep. We still have a lot of work tomorrow, right?"

Gisel nodded his head. "Would you like to go home?"

"I'll stay here until it's over. Don't worry," Rey said as she scrambled Gisel's hair.

"Rey!" Gisel's hand immediately catches Rey's hand to stop her. I don't know why, lately Rey often does that.

While tidying his hair back up, Gisel said, "Who said I was worried."

Rey just laughed. Gisel became increasingly upset by it. He thought Rey was laughing at him. But, he's not angry. Because Gisel knew the man liked to tease her. He does it often.

That night, as he said, Rey accompanied Gisel at home. He slept on Kanaya's bedroom floor with a folding mattress. Although Gisel asks her to go home, Rey ignores him. In the end, Gisel tired himself and let Rey by his will.

But, with Rey being nearby, for the first time since she was at Kanaya's house, Gisel felt safe. He could feel his sleep that night was really restful and pleasant. He enjoyed it very much.

......................

The first reaction Clara showed upon returning home was as Gisel had imagined. Clara goes on a rampage because she can't find anyone she knows in her house.

"Bik Idah and the others decided to stop" Bagas explained to Clara.

"They say, you always make them a tool to make Kanaya according to you. Is that true?"

"M-they lied! They plotted against me. You can't trust them, Bagas!"

"Is what Bik Idah and the others say true or not, Aya?" asked Bagas to Gisel.

Gisel played his part very well. He wiped away the end of his eyes that did not shed any tears at all. As he glanced at Clara, the woman was glaring at him. He moved his mouth irregularly just to get Gisel to say something to Bagas.

"It's okay if you don't want to say it, Aya. But om will see for themselves how they will report it to om."

Whoever Bagas meant by the word 'them', those people entered after Bagas said it. And these 'they' were directly lined up behind Bagas.

"These seven servants will help with household chores alternately starting from 7 am. After seven o'clock at night, their work is done."

"What's? At 7pm? How ..." The first protest came from Clara. No wonder.

But Bagas did not want to lose. "They know what they have to do."

Clara was seen shrieking as Bagas started glaring and speaking in a stifled tone.

But, Nabila still dared to talk. "Me and Aya left for school at 6:30. They haven't even come yet. Who's gonna cook us breakfast?"

"They will prepare it before they go home. You can heat it up in the morning. If you don't want food cooked overnight, just bake bread or make cereal. Everything is available in the dining room."

Bagas saw Nabila wanted to say something else. But then he prevented it. "Their job is to cook, clean, take care of the garden and swimming pool, and wash and tidy clothes. Besides, you guys do it yourself."

"What?! Can't be so dong, Om."

Bagas raised his hand, a sign for Nabila to stop talking.

"Their salary will be paid as usual. But if you ask him to do something outside of their job, that means you will pay for his additional services yourself. That's if they want to do it."

"You can't do this, Bagas. I'm the hostess of this house. Farhan used to trust me to take care of everything" Clara protested for the umpteenth time.

"And I was the lawyer appointed by Farhan to take care of Kanaya and all the matters related to her. Don't worry, you're still the mistress of this house. But now your job is no longer to take care of a housekeeper. Hasn't it reduced your work?"

Clara did not say anything more even though her face still looked unsatisfied and wanted to protest again.

"Don't worry. You'll still get a driver. His job is to take Nabila and Aya to school and deliver them home. After that, he'll work at the company."

"What?! Then, what if we need a car?" said Clara.

"Now the age is sophisticated. Put on your cell phone and find a taxi online," replied Bagas with his rest.

"And one more." The new bagas would move away but then he remembered something. "The servants only knew four people who lived in this house. Aside from you, they will consider him a guest. Which means, they'll kick out anyone who visits if the host isn't home."

Clara immediately glared as soon as Bagas finished saying it. He must have realized who he meant.

"And don't think about putting it in after seven p.m. Because security guards will be standing guard in front after that," he added.

Gisel hid his winning smile by lowering his head. He was satisfied to see the panicked faces of Clara and Nabila.

Gisel felt lucky that Bagas wanted to cooperate with him after hearing of Kanaya's true condition. All this time, he knew everything about Clara and Nabila. But he can't do anything, because Kanaya always protects them.

And now Gisel who plays Kanaya himself will be moving to deal with them. That will make it easier for him to take care of everything.

Before leaving, Bagas and Gisel's two eyes met each other even if only for a few seconds. From the look of those eyes, they seemed to be doing a victory tos. The two remained silent and hid their smiles from Clara and Nabila who were currently lamenting their lives after this.

......................

As it turns out, the plan that had been arranged neatly did not stop Clara's intention to marry Kanaya to Mr. Abraham. Early in the morning, Clara had already banged on the door of Gisel's locked room.

"Wear clothes locked everything?," said Clara scolding Gisel who still narrowed her eyes because she was not used to the morning light.

Clara throws a kebaya complete with its sheath to Gisel.

"Mandi, keep wearing it! Make up artist is coming!"

Gisel was still processing Clara's speech after the woman left. He saw the clothes that had just been thrown at him. A few seconds later, Gisel realized it.

"He still wants to marry me?"
