CHAPTER 21: Seven Days of Finding a Way Back

"Wait!"

Gisel tries to get himself out of Rey's arms. He didn't expect Rey to react that way. Rey had never hugged him before. The atmosphere became so awkward afterwards.

"Where do you know it's me?" Gisel asked Rey.

Rey was nervous when she was about to answer, but then she remembered something.

"You! You can hide this from me. How long will you stay quiet like this?" Rey scolded Gisel.

Gisel instantly shrunk. "Not that I don't want to say. I'm afraid you don't believe."

"But you can't, can you?" This time Gisel began to dare to make a sound. He was upset by Rey's statement. "How many times we met at school, you still don't recognize me"

Gisel suddenly remembered the events of that time. She didn't think Rey would notice. "So, that's why you called Om Satrio?" said Gisel, whose tone was not as high as earlier.

"Who am I gonna call again, Gi? You can't ask me," replied Rey who was still upset.

"Ehm ... Sir, Ma'am ..." Risa tries to calm a human pair that looks more like a husband and wife than a friend.

"Be quiet, Risa!"

"You calm down!" Satrio is talking. At least, as soon as Satrio started talking, Rey and Gisel regained their composure. They started to separate themselves.

"We don't have much time. Kanaya's family could have appeared suddenly," explained Satrio who followed them by looking for his seat each.

"Now explain, how are you all here?"

As soon as Gisel asked, one by one began to take turns talking about the events that happened in the past few days.

From Satrio, Gisel finally knew that the incident he thought was a dream, was not a dream. The incident was evident in the body of Gisel who was admitted to the same hospital as Kanaya at this time.

The culprit was the doctor who usually treated Gisel during this time. He got the medicine from someone who told him to. By force, he did so because they were detaining his family.

Drugs that are injected into the Gisel infusion tube are hard drugs that have the effect of can result in heart failure if given in excess of the dose. And that's what happened to Gisel.

At that time, Rey and Risa had already walked out of Gisel's room. They ran into the perpetrator without suspecting anything. Then, suddenly Risa felt something strange from Gisel, so she immediately ran back to the room. Rey followed.

It was then that Rey saw the doctor with a syringe in her right hand, and a Gisel infusion tube in her left. Rey plucked the infusion from Gisel and arrested the doctor.

But, some of the drugs have entered, therefore Gisel's heart had to stop for a few minutes. But, it can still be saved and must be monitored for development for days.

Risa explained, Gisel has not completely died. Gisel's soul was still connected to everything in his own body, including his pain. So, if Gisel's body experiences something in his heart, then Gisel's soul also feels the pain. However, Kanaya's body did not feel it.

The soul in Kanaya's body belongs not only to Gisel, but also to Kanaya. The difference is that Gisel's property is active, while Kanaya is passive. Since the accident, the pilot of Kanaya's body has been Gisel's soul. When Gisel's soul is already unable to hold him, Kanaya's body will lose consciousness, because the pilot is not there.

That's what happened to Kanaya these past seven days. Kanaya is declared in a coma because there is no known cause of Kanaya unconsciousness. The doctors were unable to find any problems on his body after several tests and examinations.

And, for the past seven days, doctors have been trying to get Gisel's body free from the effects of the drug, Risa tries to recover Gisel's soul stuck in Kanaya's body which is still asleep due to the pain in her own body.

That was what Risa had just done earlier when Gisel woke up.

"How can my body remain in a coma, while my soul is in Kanaya's body?" asked Gisel after hearing Risa's explanation.

"Eerr .. anu, ma'am .. that, Mother's soul is not entirely in this body. At the time of the accident, half of Mom's soul left her own body and accidentally entered this body. Half is here, and the other half is still there."

And that was the strangest of all the things he'd ever heard about moving.

"So you're saying, if Gisel's body .. was killed by someone, then I would really die?" Gisel stopped as he was about to say the word 'killed'.

His tongue felt heavy as he was about to say it, especially when he imagined that the medicine would fully enter his body. Maybe right now he won't be here in Kanaya's body.

Risa nodded her head.

"He came yesterday to see your condition, and also helped you recover" Rey explained. He stretched his embrace after seeing that Gisel had already begun to calm down.

"Then, how do you know all this?" This time Gisel wanted to know how Rey could join them.

"I interrogated Risa. It was very strange because he suddenly ran while shouting your name. How did he know there was something strange in your room?" Rey explained.

"I have long been suspicious of you because of your strange behavior. Like to talk to yourself, suddenly angry or yelling, or always scared yourself for no reason, it turns out this is the reason," said Gisel looking at his secretary. Risa herself just laughed awkwardly in response.

"Om was forced to tell Rey because the situation was not possible. And Rey immediately believed." This time Satrio commented.

"Rey immediately believed? On such matters?," asked Gisel looking at Rey with a suspicious look.

"I told you, right? If you explain it correctly, how can I not believe it?" Rey snickered angrily at Gisel.

They ended up throwing their gazes at each other, and ended up with a rude snort from them.

"So, what's your plan now, Gi?" asked Satrio.

Gisel this time was silent for a moment thinking of a way out for all his own problems. Kanaya's problem is not finished yet, and now it's her own.

"Where is the doctor?" asked Gisel.

"It's been secured by Alpha Team. The hospital could not interfere in this matter. Because this is already in a criminal act. There are witnesses and also evidence."

"Begging Team Alpha to form a special team to save his family and find out who told him to. After that, let her go" Gisel said again.

"You don't want to process it legally?" asked Satrio in surprise.

"You haven't got any leads yet?" asked Rey. He's still there listening to Gisel and Satrio talk.

Before Gisel could answer him, Satrio's phone rang to the surprise of everyone in the room. Everything that was initially focused on Gisel and Rey's conversation is now changing.

And the call was terminated.

"Clara came with Rafael and an old man. They don't know who the man is other than Rafael, because the man has never been seen in the Kanaya family profile" Satrio said.

"Old man? How old?"

Gisel did not want to waste his time. As they walk towards his place, Gisel must move onto his bed, or they will find Kanaya conscious of her coma.

Gisel is ticking.

"They won't say anything if you stay here."
