I'm Not a High School Boy
CHAPTER 11: Gisel vs Three Friends Nabila

After hearing from Adit, Gisel's mind could no longer be controlled. He continued to think about the problems that occurred in the construction of the new city. Why do these problems arise when he is in this condition? How can he overcome everything if his body is still lying in a coma, while his soul is stuck in someone else's body?

"And again, what is the purpose of those people? Disapproval action? I thought the local government had it under control. The competition? Could it?"

Gisel's daydream simply dispersed, as someone patted him on the shoulder.

"There's something else that's on you" said one of his classmates, pointing to someone waiting outside the classroom.

Out of the three people waiting for him out there, there was nothing he could recognize. And now they called him who was out of nowhere for any business.

"What's the matter?," asked Gisel flatly at the three girls who were looking at him with cynical gazes. Gisel's annoyance suddenly sticking up.

"Follow us," one of them ordered as he turned to leave Gisel.

"What else is this, my God?" wrote Gisel in his heart.

They turned out to take Gisel to a place in the back area of the school. This place is usually used as a place for children who try to run away from lessons. Cigarette butts scattered everywhere are proof that this place is a favorite place for naughty students in this school.

The three girls suddenly stopped and turned to face Gisel. Without saying anything, they just stared at Gisel with a condescending gaze from top to bottom, then up again. Lastly they added their cynical smiles.

"What do you need?" asked Gisel, who was impatient to end this strange meeting.

One of them then advanced towards Gisel. He pushed one of Gisel's shoulders until he snapped back.

"You think you've been great, huh?" he said.

Once, twice, three times, Gisel did not listen to him speak, but instead counted how many times the young girl pushed herself.

"When you said you hurt him yesterday. You broke his waist. Right, right?"

This time, different girls were advancing with different questions, but still with the same attitude and treatment towards Gisel.

"So, they're his friends the crazy one," thought Gisel.

"You want us brackets in the bathroom like back then, huh?"

The final push of the third girl caused Gisel to bounce quite a distance. He almost fell down if he couldn't keep his balance.

"So, all this time, that madman was not only torturing Kanaya at home, but also at school?"

Gisel's anger grew more and more piled up every time the three young girls pushed him. He became very angry when he learned of the bullying they had done to Kanaya before.

Therefore, at the last push, Gisel caught the hand of one of the girls, then twisted it.

"Ah, ah, sick, sick ...," she cried.

His other friend attacked back to save his friend. With his other hand, Gisel did the same to her.

For their last friend who tried to attack Gisel, Gisel's leg was immediately kicked in his stomach area. Hard enough that the girl slumped backwards. They were screaming in pain.

"Release no? Off! You're getting brave huh?" said one of them whose hands were twisted by Gisel.

"Why? You guys don't like it? You guys think I like being called like that? Still young, are you a bit of a whiz? What will it be?" said Gisel.

"Hey, you guys. Why are you there?"

The sound of screaming was heard from a distance. "Rey!," he screeches to heart.

Gisel then took his hands off them, then fell down.

"Okay, sir .. please ...," he shouted.

The three girls who brought him looked towards Gisel with astonished gazes. They may ask what he is doing.

"Kanaya?"

Rey ran over to Kanaya. He checked Kanaya's condition which he saw as she was holding her painful hand.

"What did you do to him?" Rey snapped to the three students.

They are smart enough to instantly know what situation they are in right now. Because when Rey asked, they immediately defended her.

"No, sir. We're not doing anything."

"Really, sir. We're the ones who twisted his hand the same way he did."

"And you expect me to believe it?" asked Rey. "You people! Into the teacher's room now. Come, Kanaya. I'm taking you to the UKS."

Gisel showed off his winning smile in front of Nabila's friends unbeknownst to Rey. At the same time, the three girls gritted their teeth, holding their anger in front of their teacher. Gisel deliberately did it so they knew they were dealing with the wrong person.

And Gisel returned to the UKS in the end. "In a day visiting the UKS twice, the best record of all time is possible" he said in his heart.

"Let me see your hand. What were they doing just now? Didn't you sprain your hand?" asked Rey as she examined Gisel's hand.

"They just held my hand pretty hard earlier, sir. Then throw me when you hear the Father coming," said Gisel reasoned.

"Did they always do that to you? How many times have they been like that? If I hadn't seen you brought them, I don't know what they would have done to you there."

Gisel looked at Rey who looked panicked in his eyes. Something strange to see is Rey's panic over an injured Kanaya. This makes Gisel wonder, why is Rey so worried about Kanaya?

"Try telling your friends if they bother you again. Don't you sniff yourself. Or if you need a storymate, you can tell me" Rey said.

"Did I never tell you anything that happened to me?" asked Gisel.

"You're a pretty secretive person, in my opinion. That's why I'm afraid you'll only keep your own problems. Though there are many people around you who really care about you," explained Rey.

Then then, his tone changed to a soft one. "Same as ..."

Gisel could not hear the last murmur coming out of Rey's mouth. It's like saying someone's name. But, it seems like Rey deliberately did not want to be heard on that part.

"Most importantly, don't let them look down on you. You don't deserve to be treated like that by them, Kanaya."

Silence enveloped them in the room for a while.

"Father's right. I should have been more courageous when dealing with them. They and I are the same. The difference is the three of them, I'm alone" said Gisel who invited Rey's laughter.

"Haha ... Now the way you say it is like my friend."

Rey's laughter slowly disappeared as she said that. The change in Rey's face is so obvious that it's hard to ignore. Rey looks pretty sad. Very contrasted with his laughter.

"Did ... something happen, sir?," asked Gisel slowly.

"She .. was in a recent accident" Rey told him as she stared at his fingers. "He's in a coma in the hospital."

Gisel seemed to be in disbelief, Rey was talking about herself at this moment. If someone told me about how Rey felt when she was in an accident, maybe she would never believe it. But now, Gisel saw it for himself. He saw the man sitting in front of him with a look of sadness from both of his eyes.

"How ... said the doctor? Is ... will he be okay, sir?"

One corner on Rey's lips lifted slightly. It was like he was trying to smile.

"She .. should be fine. I ... waited for him to come to his senses."

Rey continued to watch her fingers without saying anything. He thought of something, but Gisel could not guess what his best friend was thinking.

"Just pray he'll wake up soon. I asked for help, yes," Rey told Gisel, showing her a smile.

Gisel didn't know how to respond. He looked at Rey deeply. His mind was currently weighing, would Rey believe it if she told him about what was going on with him at the moment? Can he tell you about who he really is in Rey right now? Wouldn't Rey take him as a silly person?

CRING ...!

A fairly long bell suddenly sounded. Looks like the break is over.

"Are you okay now? Or do you still want to rest here?" asked Rey.

Gisel was still shocked as the sound of the bell being loud enough blew away everything in his mind. "I'm .. I'll be back, sir."

"All right then. I will take care of the three children. You're the spirit, yes," Rey said again.

Gisel looked at Rey's back. Within seconds, Rey's shadow had already disappeared from the room.

Although in his head still holds many questions about Rey and Kanaya, but the shadow of how Rey talks about him earlier still imprints in his memory.

What he thinks now is that Rey can look so sad when something happens to her.

"It hurts to see it that way ...," Gisel said in his heart.
