CHAPTER 42: A New Gisel Perspective

"G! ..."

Again the voice sounded. This time it was quite clear in his ears. Gisel forced himself to stay focused.

"Rey ...," he called her soft.

"Come, Gi. We're out of here."

Rey was prepared to carry him, but then Gisel pushed her.

"Detach! ...," he said weakly.

With both hands, he covered his body. But, then he realized his body had now been covered by a thick sheet of cloth.

"Calm down" Rey said again. Gisel could feel Rey's hand touching the side of her face. "Come, I'll get you out of here."

This time, Gisel goes nowhere and in any way Rey will take him out of the barn.

In Rey's sling, Gisel could hear the noise inside the warehouse. Kicks, punches, cries of pain and for help, even cries of forgiveness. Everything mixed into one.

"Don't let anyone get out of here! You hear?!"

Gisel knew him very well. In the past, he was often with that person. The one whose job it is to protect him.

"Team Alpha? ..."

"Pak Satrio was forced to reveal your identity to Alpha Team Leader. Right now Kanaya is their priority" Rey explained.

Right at the last word Rey spoke, Gisel was already unconscious.

When Gisel opened his eyes, he was already in a clean and tidy room. The hospital, of course.

"How many times have I woken up in this place?" thought Gisel.

He recalled the incident he had experienced last night. Instantly, all of the feelings that were last night reappeared one by one in his memory, then mixed together. Gisel's tears are flowing again.

As he was about to raise his right hand to wipe his tears, Gisel felt a weight on that hand.

Rey. It was Rey there who was asleep holding her hand.

"When was he there?"

Gisel looked at Rey who was asleep. There was a quite strange sense enveloping his heart at this moment. A strange feeling that he had actually felt before, and now it was like being reminded back.

Gisel did not forget. Although he tried to bury her deeply, Gisel never forgot her. Why would Rey have to bring him back? Why does Rey have to be like this to make it back wavering?

Gisel slowly pulled his hand. But Rey felt it. The man started to open his eyes. Gisel immediately closed his eyes back.

As he closed his eyes, Gisel felt a gentle swipe at the back of his hand.

"What are you doing, Rey?!?," Inner Gisel shouted.

Shortly after, Rey's phone rang, she came out later to answer. Gisel slowly awakened his body.

Even when Rey was not with him, Rey's touch was still felt in her hands. Gisel kept looking at his hand.

"You're just worried about Kanaya, aren't you, Rey?" he said.

"Gi?"

Gisel is too late in his feelings that he doesn't realize Rey just walked in. The man was clearly surprised to see Gisel sitting on his bed.

As soon as Rey saw him, she immediately ran towards Gisel and hugged him.

"Thank God, Gi ..," he said.

Gisel. His eyes are wide enough. Rey hugged him like that. Gisel's heart beat hard enough that he pushed Rey all the way just because he was worried Rey would hear him.

But, quickly, Rey held him back, and the tighter his embrace became. Gisel was not allowed to let go despite the many times the girl tried.

"R-rey!," he exclaimed.

"Sorry, Gi. Because of me .... I should have let you go home that time. It's all my fault" said Rey.

"R-rey .. a-I ..."

"I cannot forgive myself if it were ... if it were ..."

"Rey ..."

Gisel's voice was already like one who was out of breath. Repeatedly she patted Rey's arm to let go of her embrace.

"Ah, sorry ... You're all right, aren't you? Is anyone sick?"

Close, too close, so Gisel thought as he looked at Rey's face being very close right before him, looking at her deeply with a gaze full of worry. Both of Gisel's eyes barely blinked because of it.

Before the heat that was currently attacking his body rose to his face, Gisel immediately turned his eyes away from Rey. He could no longer look at the man any longer.

"Don't blame yourself, Rey. It wasn't your fault. If it wasn't then, Vienna would have done it another time. W-so, it has nothing to do with you."

Gisel had no idea how Rey would react at this moment. He really couldn't afford to look at her anymore. For a while, neither Gisel nor Rey had said anything. Gisel grew increasingly unsettled with their silence.

Suddenly, Rey walks away from Gisel. He brought a bottle of water for Gisel. "Drink first" he said after opening the lid.

After that, he approached the sofa opposite the bed and sat down on it. "The doctor says the medicine inside your body has been cleared. His injuries were not too severe either. Tomorrow if you want, you can go home."

"really? That fast? Seriously?"

"Hm ... Don't worry about Clara. Mr. Bagas has taken care of everything."

Gisel then thought about Vienna. What is the fate of the child now?

"Vienna too. The suit has been taken care of by Mr. Bagas" Rey said before Gisel asked as if he knew what Gisel was thinking.

"So, focus on your health. The wounds on your back and on your head are the worst." Rey looks pretty serious about Gisel.

Tika immediately ran over to the bodyguard who was standing guard at the door of her room. She immediately recalled Rey's words before she was unconscious. It turns out to be true, Satrio already told Alpha Team.

"I should have forced you to go home together. Why am I leaving you there?" said Tika, holding Gisel tightly. Gisel could hear his stuffing.

Gisel tried to let go of Tika's embrace. Instead of freeing herself from Tika, Gisel wants to calm her down. But it seemed like Gisel had no choice but to let Tika continue to hug him.

Gisel can feel how he is getting more and more receptive to what Tika is doing to him. Even before Bagas told him about Tika's efforts, Gisel was already getting used to everything Tika did. He doesn't mind at all.

Gisel who never liked Tika's aggressive attitude now slowly began to open her heart and let Tika with all her wishes. And in reality, Gisel liked her even more. There's a pretty warm feeling to it.

Shortly after, Adit entered the room. Gisel continued to look at Adit who was standing in an unusual manner.

The look on his face reflected worry. But a second later, there was a sense of regret, fear, and this was the strangest, disbelief.

"Why are you, Dit?" asked Tika after letting go of her embrace.

Slowly Adit advanced towards Gisel. He held Gisel's hand, which shocked Gisel.

"A-aya ...," he called me shrewd.

With a sudden movement, Adit had already hugged her. Both of Gisel's eyes bulged.

With Tika, it doesn't matter. But this is Adit. That's a different story, Gisel thought.

It didn't take long, Adit finally let go of his embrace. It was also because Rey forced him to let go. Rey's hand pushed Adit's forehead away from Gisel.

"Hold, Young Man. Don't forget that we have an agreement" said Rey, who continued to push Adit and pulled him to stand next to her.

"covenant? What agreement?"

Gisel looked at Adit and Rey in turn. Hopefully one of them can explain what Rey said earlier.

Adit could only duck, then take his eyes off Gisel. But Rey ... Gisel was sure, the man would not explain anything.

"Male secrets. You ladies, you're forbidden to interfere."

Gisel frowned. He looked at Rey with annoyance. He knew Rey would, but still, the rejection was annoying.

"Thank God, you're conscious, Gi."

Gisel's room became increasingly crowded with the arrival of Satrio and Rendi. Gisel smiled at their arrival.

When he woke up, the room was still quiet and silent. But now suddenly so many people. And Gisel likes it.

Gisel always shied away from the crowd. He never liked being among so many people. Makes it uncomfortable. Rey was the one who had been accompanying him every time Gisel avoided the crowd.

But now, being in the crowd in the middle of this room that could not be said to be spacious, Gisel felt comfort. He doesn't want to get out of there. He even wanted a moment like this to last a bit longer if allowed.

For the first time he felt that being Kanaya was not so bad.
