CHAPTER 18: The Unexpected Happenings, Rey Begins to Be Suspicious

Aunt Lia is going back to Singapore today. After last night he told his nephew about his plan, all night he had him talking in his room.

"Auntie just wants you to know. .. auntie will not stop trying to get your custody. Leaving you here alone .. want it to feel like aunt brought you to Singapore right now .. but aunt is helpless ..."

That's what he said in his tears last night.

Gisel could only be speechless seeing Aunt Lia cry as they hugged. He was not so close to her, so he did not know how Aunt Lia really felt.

All Gisel knew was, according to Satrio's report, Aunt Lia was a good person. That means, Kanaya would be better off with Aunt Lia than with Clara and Nabila. But, for now, this was all they could do.

School is on a weekend off today. Then, Gisel can deliver it to the airport. Tika will also follow along with Bagas. After all they had agreed to go for a walk to the amusement park today after returning from the airport.

Because of hearing the playground, Adrian also wanted to come along. Clara didn't forbid it either. Be the four of them deliver Aunt Lia to the airport.

"Yes, Auntie will be back again. You are patient, Auntie and Bagas. There will definitely be a way for us" Aunt Aya said again as she hugged Gisel before they parted ways.

"You should talk to Bagas if something happens, yes. Don't keep it to yourself, Aya. Don't protect them. Call auntie anytime you want, yeah."

There are many things that Aunty Lia conveyed to the figure of Kanaya, her nephew. Gisel who is currently playing the role of Kanaya can only hear the mangosteen of all the dishes of Aunt Lia. Both of his ears heard well, but in his heart he was more hopeful that Kanaya's aunt was leaving soon.

"So where are you going today?" asked Bagas as soon as everyone got into his car after Aunt Lia had actually left.

"We're going to the amusement park, Pa," exclaimed Tika excitedly. This idea is from Tika. He was the one who suddenly gave the idea to go there.

Gisel is just someone who happens to be in their chat group and in a position that is unlikely to be able to resist. Even if she refused, Tika would drag her along.

"Only the three of you?" asked Bagas again.

"Adit will follow he said. He'll go straight there" replied Tika.

Gisel briefly glanced at Adrian. Kanaya's sister looked very happy with the idea of these walks.

Gisel could not remember the last time he went to the playground. But, she still remembered that time she went with Rey to accompany Reina. The look on Reina's face at the time was exactly what she saw on Adrian.

Reina was 8 years old, while Gisel and Rey were in 11th grade. After school, they immediately picked up Reina who was waiting for them all day. Reina was really happy that day.

"Will Papa pick you up?" asked Bagas before the others got out of the car.

"No, Pa. Later Tika returns home with Aya taking a taxi. After that, Adit who anterin Tika to the house," replied Tika while kissing Bagas cheek.

"Yes already. Careful, yeah. Oh yes, Papa has also transferred the money. Have fun."

"Because ... Papa is good, deh," exclaimed Tika hugging her Papa back.

Shortly after Bagas' car leaves them, Tika begins to look around to find Adit. But it doesn't seem to be coming yet.

"Is it still on the road, huh?," asked Tika curiously.

Gisel prefers to wait with Adrian on a bench in the front of the theme park, while Tika tries to contact Adit.

"She's still on her way here" Tika said as she sighed, while sitting next to Gisel, moments after calling Adit.

Shortly after, 5 thugs with makeshift makeup and consider themselves cool with their appearance, came close to Gisel, Tika, and Adrian.

"Hi, girl ...," said one of them.

Both Gisel and Tika looked at them with their unfriendly gazes at all. But the five thugs didn't care. What they saw were two teenage girls with a small child, who they thought was unlikely to be able to fight back.

"Neither are we, yuk."

"For a phone number."

Sentence after sentence of temptation sounded disgusting to Gisel and Tika. Too long there makes them not at home to invite Adrian to go from there.

Tika and Adrian look at the incident with anxious eyes. The one they were worried about was the one they knew as Kanaya. Alone facing 5 thugs is not a good thing at this time. Especially Tika, her head was thinking of something to be able to get her best friend out of the situation.

"Let them go, Aya. We're getting out of here" cried Tika.

But when Gisel is about to obey Tika, another thug attacks him. Gisel kicked him straight away. And one by one the thugs came to attack Gisel.

Tika and Adrian immediately backed away from the quarrel. While people who pass by them do not want to be too bothered to help. With all his abilities, Gisel tries to protect himself.

Gisel gets overwhelmed when one of the thugs starts to approach Tika and Adrian. Tika's shout made Gisel realize it. He immediately approached Tika to save her.

Looking at the five thugs who were now in front of him and preparing to attack him at once, what was in Gisel's mind at this time was the safety of Tika and Adrian who were standing behind him. Gisel was already completely at the limit of his ability.

"Yes! Nick!"

Luckily, Adit arrived. He immediately ran and stood in front of Gisel.

"What do you want? Move aside! No shame 5 people gang up 2 women?," snapped Adit.

"It's none of your business! You step aside!," cried one of them, and they charged forward.

Tika saw no end to this fight immediately ran for help. Adrian followed him from behind.

Right at that moment, Rey comes to Gisel and Adit's aid. The fight is now 3 on 5.

Both Rey and Adit have no time to think about how Gisel can fight with them. They were busy dealing with the thugs. They did not even realize that the figure of Kanaya who was with them was using her martial skills to deal with the thugs.

Rey only realized something, when Gisel suddenly came from behind past his left side to help him face the thugs he was facing. When Gisel punches him, locks him up, then slams him, that's when Rey starts muttering, "Gigi?"

Luckily, the amusement park security team came to disperse the fight. Tika managed to bring them. As soon as he saw the many security that came, the thugs immediately ran away leaving Adit and Gisel who were bored.

As for Rey, she was still staring at the figure of Kanaya who was in front of her. He felt a strangeness.

"I never knew you could also martial arts, Kanaya," Rey said suddenly.

Gisel. He could hear a loud punch in his chest. His head continued to bow without daring to look at Rey, or Tika and Adit who were now looking at him with a gaze full of questions.

"S-I, I .. just learned, sir," replied Gisel nervously.

"really? Studying where? Who taught you?"

Gisel's getting cornered. Rey increasingly gave him questions that he could not answer.

"I ..."

"Is that guy named Alex? Because your movements are very similar to her," Rey said.

How did Gisel answer that? He learned it from Rey. He learned it because Rey forced him to protect himself.

So now what does he have to say? It was definitely impossible for him to say learning from someone named Gisel. Rey would have asked him another question. In silence, Gisel begins to feel stress until he has no other choice.

"Ah, yes sir, right! From Alex. He taught me," replied Gisel who was still feeling nervous. He kept hoping Rey didn't realize his lie.

Luckily, Adrian came anxiously to Gisel. She grabbed Gisel's hand to take him away. Gisel who saw this as an opportunity, of course he would not waste it.

"Thank you, sir, for helping me" Gisel said before leaving.

Rey still stands looking at the figure of Kanaya who went with Tika, Adit, and Adrian into the playground. He now becomes convinced that there is something strange about Kanaya, his student.

"The answer is wrong, Kanaya. The man who taught me the movement is overseas. I only taught it to one person, and he was lying in a coma in the hospital" Rey murmured.
