CHAPTER 57: Dangerous Confrontations

(Two hours ago)

"Gi, you still won't change your mind?" asked Rey a few times. Even though Gisel said no, Rey asked the same question.

"You know, I have to do this. I have a plan. Om Satrio will help me" replied Gisel who once again rejected all Rey's requests.

"I know that Corens is still hiding Rafael. What I don't know, is how the Corens overcame Rafael. Whether he killed her, or kept her as his own. This way will tell us how Rafael is now. Thus, we can take care of Rafael, for Kanaya," continued Gisel again.

Rey is silent now. He had no more words to refute Gisel. But then, his heart grew slightly calmer, as Gisel's fingers wrapped around his.

"Therefore I need your help, Rey. I know you'll definitely help me. So, I'm sure I can finish this," said Gisel who sounded quite soft in Rey's ear. In fact perhaps, this was the first time he had heard Gisel's voice as soft as that.

Rey's hand immediately grabbed Gisel's fingers. He grasped it and tightened it in his fingers.

"Whatever happens, don't even think about leaving me, Gi. Promise me" Rey said firmly.

With complete confidence, Gisel nodded his head.

The atmosphere became so tense when Rey's knife still pointed at the base of Corens' neck. No one dared to make a sound when Rey managed to control Corens with the tip of the knife.

Corens shouted for his guards, but no one answered. Of course, Rey's bodyguards managed to knock them out before Rey showed up.

Satrio stood up and walked away from Corens. He moved his seat next to Gisel and together looked at the currently helpless Corens.

The doctor who had been near Gisel stood up and moved away from the tension. He looked relieved because he no longer needed to continue what he did not want to do earlier.

Satrio has long suspected Corens. But, he never revealed it to Gisel. To convince himself, along with his investigation, Satrio approached Corens in a different way. He pretended to betray Gisel.

Unfortunately, as Satrio approached Corens, there was not even a chance of him meeting Rafael when the man was with Corens. Maybe Corens and Rafael don't fully believe in Satrio. Therefore, Satrio did not get any information about Rafael during his time with Corens.

Satrio told Gisel this after he reported about Corens. At that time, Gisel suggested bringing Team Alpha to convince them.

It worked quite well, though not completely. Corens becomes more trusting of Satrio, although Rafael remains a non-president.

And now, that opportunity is coming. Raphael finally appeared before everyone.

"I knew from the beginning that you couldn't be trusted" said Rafael, along with the sound of the trigger of the pistol he had pinned on Satrio's head next to Gisel.

Gisel smiled proudly with all his efforts finally Rafael appeared as well as he expected. "Look, who finally appears before all of us."

"Nortuguese ... Ah, no ... Shall I call Miss Gisella?" asked Rafael, moving the muzzle of his gun towards Gisel.

Rey who saw that could not hide her anger. The tip of the knife he was holding was getting closer to the neck of Corens to injure the man. Blood slowly flowed from the wound.

Gisel gave her a sign with a slow motion to her head. He asked Rey to be patient. Rey who was angry when she saw Gisel like that slowly lowered her emotions.

Gisel then slowly stood up from his seat. He turned to face Rafael completely.

"Gi ...," called Satrio who was beside him half in a whisper. He was worried that Gisel was injured because Rafael would get more aggressive with the gun in his hand when he saw that kind of Gisel.

Gisel calms Satrio down. He reassured Satrio with his smile that everything would be fine.

Slowly Gisel walked past the sofa that was a barrier between him and Rafael. With the gun constantly pointed at him, Gisel kept looking at Rafael with his sharp gaze regardless of the gun.

"For a long time no see, Rafael," said Gisel casually.

"Do you know?, asked Rafael. "If this gun bullet goes through this head, you're probably going to get back into that body. But Kanaya ... He will forever not be able to return to his already broken body."

Gisel did not respond to Rafael's remarks.

"Do you want me to release this bullet right here?" asked Rafael again.

Gisel still doesn't talk much. He just kept staring intently at Rafael and prepared to do something.

When he felt ready, with a very quick movement, Gisel snatched the gun from Rafael's hand. Now the gun turned to face Rafael. Gisel smiled proudly at himself. Likewise with Rey who continued to watch Gisel from where he stood.

How not? Rey teaches all of this, though she hopes Gisel will never face the situation she fears.

"The situation turned around very quickly, didn't it, Rafael?" asked Gisel cynically. He canceled the ready position of the gun, then threw it at the bodyguards nearby. Quickly, the bodyguard caught the gun and secured it.

"You feel like you've won now? You think I came here without any preparation?"

Some of Gisel and Rey's bodyguards immediately moved to protect the room where Gisel's body lay. Some others started to take their positions helping their friends.

The situation is now starting to heat up as the people of Rafael keep coming. Although Gisel and Rey's bodyguards combined are still outnumbered by the person Rafael brought in. I don't know where Rafael got that many people.

Corens was now laughing out loud. He felt himself to have the upper hand with the situation.

"What can you do now? Haha ....," she cried in her loud laughter.

Rey hit her back neck so hard that the man was unconscious. The atmosphere in the room was now quiet again.

But not as long as they want.

As Rafael begins to blow his way towards Gisel, all of Rafael's men begin to attack. The trouble began.

Luckily Gisel was able to dodge the blow. He jumped to the side when the punch almost hit him.

But then, Rey came between them. Rey quickly repulsed Rafael, causing the man to retreat.

"Your opponent is me. I've wanted to see you for a long time. And today you're going to pay for everything" Rey said furiously.

"Gi, you go. Get your body out of here. Run according to our plan," Rey continued again to Gisel who was standing behind him.

Without saying much, Gisel immediately ran towards the room.

From a distance he could see the doctor already standing in front of the room looking at the situation around him anxiously. The doctor was the same doctor who was about to inject the drug as Corens asked. And that doctor was the same doctor who tried to hurt Gisel in the hospital for Gisel's work.

Yes, Gisel asks Satrio to take him back to Corens to help Gisel's secret plan that he only knows about himself. Even Satrio who Gisel gave the order did not know the reason why Gisel asked him to return. And so is Rey.

"The doctor knows what the doctor should do, right?," Gisel asked the doctor.

"Yeah. I had to wait quite a while after that I pumped back Miss Gisella's heart" the doctor replied nervously.

The doctor was there long enough that he listened to everything that Corens said. And during that time Gisel also asked the doctor to understand what he should do at this time.

"And you guys ..."

"We know what we have to do, Miss Gisella."

Without needing to finish his words, those bodyguards knew what they had to say at this moment. Gisel immediately turned to look for Rey who is currently still busy with Rafael.

"Rey, keep my word. I'm not going to lie to you" shouted Gisel.

Rey, who was constantly receiving attacks from Rafael, could not immediately answer Gisel's words. But, the jolt on his chest was enough to make him feel uncomfortable with Gisel's intent.

"Gi! Whatever you're thinking about right now, don't try to do it!" Rey snapped as she held off Rafael's blow.

"I heard your conversation with Risa," cried Gisel.

Both of Rey's eyes immediately glared at Gisel. "No, Gi! I said no!"

But, Gisel did not want to retreat anymore now. "Believe me, Rey. I'm going back. I have reason to go back. We put everything back in its place."

Rey pushed Rafael hard. He ran and wanted to get to Gisel, preventing his stupid thoughts. But then, Rafael pulls him back, as if not wanting Rey to get close to Gisel. Rey has no choice but to fight Rafael again.

"I won't forgive you if you break your promise, Gi" Rey cried at the end of her despair.

"I will definitely return" said Gisel once more.

As Gisel was about to enter the room, Gisel turned around once more. "Don't let him hurt you, Rey."

Rey's two eyes seemed to emit a burning flame when listening to Gisel's cry. His spirit became hot burning to the point of burning his entire body. His confidence rose for a moment.

"He won't be able to touch me" he said in a blazing snort of spirit.

As soon as Gisel entered the room, Rey yelled again, "You know what you have to do, right? Let there be no mistake. You guys hear that?"

"Ready, sir," they answered simultaneously with the roar of their steps on alert.

"Now it's just you and me" Rey told Rafael.
