"Kanaya! What the hell are you doing? Why did he faint?" cried Clara. Gisel was sure he was currently shouting at that person.
Gisel did not faint. He's just pretending. He wanted to know what they were talking about when he was unconscious.
"I didn't do anything. He fell down by himself" replied the man. He didn't sound panicked. His tone was too calm for someone who had just seen a girl he had just beaten down fell in front of him.
"Sir Aya ..," called Adrian who sounded almost crying. His hand touched Gisel's cheek.
But that touch only lasted a little while.
"Have ..you don't hold him" said Clara, pulling Adrian's hand. "You play with Bik Idah, or go to your room. Comeing! There!"
Adrian probably obeyed the orders of his mother, because after that no sound was heard.
"Now what?" asked Nabila.
"Take him to his room, Rafael. I have to call Bagas, or someone will report to Bagas, and then he will think I'm hiding this matter from him. Hear that! I'd say it's the effect of the injury on his head. You heard that right, when?" said Clara who sounded quite panicked.
"Rafael .. his name is Rafael. Who is he?" Inner Gisel.
Not long after, Gisel felt his body being lifted up and some small shocks.
"This rafael is really submissive to the old woman," Gisel once again.
Gisel felt the mattress padded shortly after. Rafael did it carefully. "Looks like he's afraid of being scolded again," Gisel thought.
"I've contacted Bagas. You have to leave before he comes" Clara said afterwards.
But Rafael did not answer. I don't know what he's done. In his pretense, Gisel restlessly waited for Rafael to give his response.
"Don't look at it! You have a crush on him?" snapped Clara.
"Are you not suspicious?" asked Rafael suddenly.
"Suspect what?"
"Why is he suddenly able to defend himself?" asked Rafael.
DEG!
Gisel's heart immediately felt a jolt. He forgot he was Kanaya. How could he forget to show off his judiciary skills to people like them?
"He's amnesia?" replied Clara annoyed. "What part of martial arts? All I see is that he's just avoiding you. He even fell when you caught him. That's what you say martial arts?"
Apparently, the movement was still too fast to be seen by ordinary eyes like Clara. In his sleep, Gisel breathed a sigh of relief.
Gisel waited for Rafael to give his answer. But, long enough the man did not answer anything. "Had he gone home?" he thought.
"When, you better go to your room now. Don't let him see you here, and then think you have something to do with this damn child's stupor," orders Clara who is not denied by Nabila at all.
"Fucking kid! Always making people difficult" Maki Clara. Gisel believes the mockery was intended for him.
I don't know how long Gisel's been fainting. Gisel felt too long until finally he actually fell asleep. When he woke up, he felt someone was doing something to his arm.
"There are no problems with her vital condition. Everything's fine."
The doctor. It turns out that someone is a doctor. Apparently Bagas came with a doctor. Clara really did not dare to lie to Bagas if she had just fainted.
Fortunately, the doctor did not say anything strange. He just made sure he was okay. And the reason why he fainted, was because he was too tired or stressed.
Gisel tried to slowly open his eyes. He was still acting as a patient who had just regained consciousness from his stupor.
"It's time for the princess to wake up to meet her boyfriend" he thought.
"Yes ... You are conscious?," cried Tika beside him.
Gisel tries to stay calm even though Tika is not. He kept asking, even though he said he was fine.
The doctor again examined the state of Gisel who was already in a state of consciousness. He was still convinced that his condition was fine.
"You sure it's okay, Aya?" asked Tika for the umpteenth time while Bagas was driving the doctor out.
"I'm okay, Tika. Why are you here?" asked Gisel, pretending.
"Tante Clara said you fainted. Papa came straight here. I'm the one who makes papa want to come along," replied Tika. "Why did you faint?"
Gisel glanced at Clara who was behind Tika who looked very anxious. He repeatedly glared at Gisel, gesturing him not to say anything. Gisel did not react to anything other than putting a faint smile on his face.
"You're this. Don't take studying too seriously in the meantime. Your head injury needs a lot of rest, said the doctor," said Tika scolding Gisel again.
Tika and Gisel were still chatting until Bagas returned to his room. Even when Bagas came back, he was still questioned regarding his condition. And for the umpteenth time, Gisel had to answer that he was okay.
Bagas and Tika were still there until dinner. Bagas just said, he still wants to see Kanaya's condition for the next few hours. If Kanaya is really okay then she and Tika will go home.
But as it turns out, there is another reason why Bagas still survives at home .
"Do you remember saying you were going to check CCTV footage near the pool? Om wants to show something to you" Bagas said after gathering in the living room upstairs, including Clara and Nabila.
When Bagas said about CCTV, Gisel glanced at Nabila. The look on his face this time was completely unsightly. He looks so scared.
Bagas then played the tape from his laptop. And all the images he had seen before, were now played back. The only difference is that the tape shows the events of that time from another angle.
The CCTV was far away from the scene. So that the image that looks not so clear. But supposedly, the one who recognized him could instantly guess.
Gisel glanced at Clara who was beside Nabila. She looks just as pale as her own son. It might even be paler, because his worry was mixed in it. He was most afraid that Nabila was involved in this matter.
"Don't tell me it's you, Nabila," said Tika who directly accused Nabila.
"Hey, you don't just accuse me. The footage is not clear, how can you directly accuse my son?" Clara snapped. But her guts instantly shrieked as she saw Bagas was glaring at her for snapping at Tika.
"S-I'm sure it wasn't Nabila. My mother. Of course, I know if it's Nabila or not just by looking at it once," Clara said defending Nabila.
"Where were you at the time?" asked Bagas directly to Nabila regardless of Clara.
"I-I, I'm being .. in the room. Watch," replied Nabila nervously.
Bagas still glared at Nabila to urge him to get the real answer. But then, Gisel stopped him.
"It seems like it was just an accident."
"What do you mean?" asked Bagas who was accompanied by a sigh of relief from Nabila.
"Try me see. From here it can be seen, it looks like my leg hit something. That's why I ended up falling" Gisel explained as he played back the tape.
Bagas and Tika were now paying close attention.
"But we can't ignore that someone caused you to fall" Tika said, glancing at Nabila.
"Of course, I don't want to extend the problem in the pool. After seeing this footage, I was convinced that I was just an accident" Gisel assured Bagas.
"But, Aya ..."
Bagas stopped Tika from speaking again.
"Are you sure?" asked Bagas once more to confirm.
"Yes, Om. Let this be like this first. But, if I remember anything, I'll tell you."
"All right ..."
"But, Pa ..."
"Tika, we respect Aya's decision. He also promised to tell us if he remembered. So, don't force Aya anymore" said Bagas to appease his beloved daughter.
"But I will keep this recording. This can be strong evidence if you want to make this a case of attempted murder," Bagas said firmly to Gisel while also glancing at Nabila and Clara who suddenly became tense.
In the end, Bagas and Tika went home after showing the tape. Gisel drove him out until their car left the house. And by the time he got back inside the house, Nabila was waiting for him in the living room.
"I don't have any debt of gratitude with you just because you protected me from Bagas today" Nabila said upon seeing Gisel.
Actually, Gisel didn't want to serve him. But when he heard the haughty phrase from someone who had once nearly killed him, he felt he could not simply ignore it.
"You think I'm protecting you?"
Gisel walked step by step toward Nabila with his sharp gaze.
"Have you forgotten what I said? I said if I remembered, I'd tell Om Bagas. And when do you think I should remember when you cornered me in the pool because you were jealous of that rancid boy named Evan?"
Mata Nabila immediately swerved out. A sentence he heard from Gisel's mouth made him realize that Gisel actually remembered the events of that time.
"So, I suggest you, be nice to me from now on. Or ... I could have slipped. Oops ..."
Gisel patted Nabila's cheeks slowly over and over before she left Nabila who was still standing frozen in the living room. Perhaps it was for the first time, Kanaya's pretty face painted her evil smile.
