CHAPTER 62: Continuing Life, A New Beginning

No matter how long they make out, Rey finally lets go of her fondling, allowing herself and Gisel to catch her breath.

Gisel was unable to continue his words as a knock on the door of his nursery was suddenly heard, which shortly afterwards, the door was opened by Satrio.

"Gi .. someone wants to meet you ...," said Satrio with a happy smile.

Shortly after, a teenage girl figure along with Bagas and Tika entered his room.

"Kanaya ...," call Gisel very happy.

Gisel wants to go down to greet him, but Rey quickly catches Gisel who has gone down to set foot on the floor of his room. Although weak, Gisel could still step up with small steps and limped. Rey helps lead him closer to Kanaya who is also doing the same.

"Sister Gisella ..," called Kanaya while giving a warm hug to Gisel.

Gisel felt the warmth from Kanaya's embrace. It was like getting a new family member in her life. Being Kanaya for a few months gave her a new take on the importance of family.

"Welcome back, Kanaya. This is your new life" said Gisel.

"Thank you, Sister Gisella. Thank you for everything" Kanaya replied warmly.

Everyone in the room, Bagas, Satrio, even Rey smiled at them. Except for Tika who might still be confused by the situation she was looking at right now.

When Gisel saw Tika, he recalled his time with the girl. Although their introduction was not a good start, but he and Tika had a pleasant moment together.

Gisel looked at Tika with a smile, then with a slow step he approached Tika. Again, Rey deftly guided Gisel wherever she wanted to go, even though she was wounded herself.

"I don't think we've ever met properly." Gisel then thrust his hand open. "I'm Gisella."

Tika looked confused by Gisel's intentions. He looked at Bagas for answers, but his father just nodded and smiled as if to encourage Tika to do what Gisel asked.

He then looked at Kanaya who was still standing behind Gisel. Kanaya did the same as Bagas did.

In the end, Tika returned Gisel's greeting. Tika stuck out her hand even though hesitantly.

"I hope we can take another walk to the mall like that time. This time we take Kanaya, huh?," said Gisel who further added to the confusion of Tika.

Not their first meeting, but it won't be their last. That was what Gisel thought about his meeting today with Kanaya as well as Tika. There was nothing he regretted about what happened to him. He got something that changed his perspective, as did Kanaya. Gisel could only hope that Kanaya's life would get better after all they had been through.

Gisel tried to open his eyes when he felt a soft touch hit his face. Tired which is quite great he felt after a day he went through his work schedule. Therefore, when he finished the meeting with the section chief, he decided to take a short rest in his office. It was too comfortable until she fell asleep.

"Rey ... when did you come?," asked Gisel as he rose from his fall.

"Longest. You're exhausted. Morning you still have to be in therapy, afternoon you work. Your schedule's too tight, Gi. I'll ask Risa to reduce it a little bit" scolded Rey who was worried about seeing Gisel like that.

After leaving the hospital, Gisel still had to undergo several therapies to smooth the movement of some parts of his body that were not perfect because of his long coma. Because Gisel could not stand just by staying at home, after therapy he decided to return to work. And with Gisel's return, it means there are a lot of people waiting in line to meet him, especially after Gisel's long absence from the office.

"I'm just resting for a while" Gisel said as he squirmed his body. He saw the man in his suit. It was different from what he had seen in the past few months.

Rey eventually dropped out of school. He returns to his former job as CEO of Falcon Corp. However, he still had time to check on Gisel's situation, as it is today.

Gisel himself again continued the project of building a new city. But due to his unhealed health, he mostly worked from the office. He was delegated to some of his representatives in England.

The new thing from his current activities is Kanaya.

Sometimes Gisel would come to his house, bring him something or take him for a walk with Tika. Something he never did before. At the very least, the nice thing about this new habit is that it's like having a sister. A feeling she had not felt for a long time after Reina died.

After all, his time with Kanaya was only up to the time of class. Because at that time, Kanaya will join Lia to Singapore, and continue her school there.

"Can't you cancel your trip today?" asked Rey again.

"I promised them, Rey. They will be disappointed. You come along instead of the mulu," grumbled Gisel who he clearly knew Rey was looking forward to it. Because Gisel always forbade him to come along.

"Let me take Adit for nemenin, later" Rey replied excitedly.

While Nabila who has found his biological father will continue his life with his father. Ian will remain with Kanaya.

"Ian grew up as a father's son. Nor does he know what really happened to our family, so he doesn't need to know forever. So, Ian will still be a part of my family" Kanaya said as she convinced Bagas and Lia. Thankfully, they finally agreed to keep their mouths shut forever.

"If so, I will ask Mr. Rendi and Om Bagas to come. Let's have a chat at the restaurant" Gisel said.

"You gonna say it now?" asked Rey. He knew what Gisel wanted to convey to Rendi, or rather Adit and Tika.

"Hmm .. Let this be a surprise for them" said Gisel, smiling with satisfaction at his idea.

Kanaya's departure to Singapore certainly brings sadness to Adit. Their plan was when they graduated school. But, Kanaya left even faster than their plan. Therefore, Gisel plans to give a scholarship to Adit in order to follow Kanaya to Singapore.

"I still don't think you told Adit about my condition" Gisel told Rey. He remembers being in the hospital, Adit meeting him to thank him for taking care of Kanaya while she was Kanaya.

From that conversation, Gisel finally realized, Adit knows something. And sure enough, Adit told Rey the story.

"I had to tell him, so that he wouldn't give up on Kanaya. I don't want to compete with High School kids" Rey replied.

"So that's what you said was a secret between men? The agreement not to touch me? Adit should know, you touched me the most" said Gisel, who only Rey answered with a naughty laugh.

"Note yes, Gi. I touched my Gisella, not Kanaya!."

"Try saying that to Adit or Kanaya."

Rey smiled at Gisel again.

But, what Gisel thought the most about was Tika. If the two of them left, then Tika would feel most abandoned. Therefore, Gisel also gave the same thing to Tika.

Rey's hand that suddenly touched her face made Gisel surprised. He saw Rey smilingly looking at him. "I've never seen you like this, Gi. You look a lot calmer and ..."

"And what?" asked Gisel, demanding Rey finish her sentence.

"... Gentle."

Gisel scrunched his forehead. "I? Like those? Not ah ..."

Rey laughed at Gisel's reaction. "Kan in my opinion. How do you know. But, that's not a bad thing, Gi. I like it."

Suddenly Rey landed a small kiss on Gisel's cheek. His face was almost red because of Rey. Gisel immediately shifted his gaze. He was looking for a new topic to divert.

"G-how is Rafael's development?," asked Gisel directly as soon as he got it.

"Don't worry. My lawyers have handled it. Corens. Everything has been overcome. They certainly won't be able to get away with it after this" Rey replied proudly.

Clara may be a threat to Kanaya. But Rafael is his biggest threat. Gisel wished that Kanaya would be kept away from them.

"Everything's gonna be fine after this, Gi."

Rey might know what the girl is riling about. His hand remained leaning against Gisel's face as his thumb rubbed gently. Slowly, calmness enveloped his heart. He believed what Rey said. His smile came after that.

Slowly Rey started to approach her. Gisel could feel what Rey wanted from the way Rey looked at her. Both of his eyes exuded a difficult desire for Gisel to resist. Gisel slowly follows the direction of Rey's hand leaning on her, who wants her to move closer.

The distance between them was getting closer and closer. Rey's breathing even more felt. Without realizing it, Gisel had already closed both of his eyes. He could feel Ray's breathing getting closer.

"Mom Gisella! Representative of PT. XYZ have to see you tomorrow, ma'am. Uh ... there's Mr. Reynard."

It should have been no surprise to Gisel if Risa suddenly entered without knocking on her door first. Although Gisel repeatedly scolded him, his secretary always did the same. The longer, Gisel got used to his reckless attitude.

But this time, Gisel's heart was almost made out of place by Risa. Rey almost fell down because Gisel pushed her hard enough when she heard Risa's voice. Rey herself just rubbed her face over and over again while holding back her sense of regret towards Risa.

"B-tomorrow? A-is there an empty schedule?," asked Gisel covering up his nervousness.

"She, Ma ..."

"Don't! Not tomorrow!" cried Rey suddenly. Gisel was shocked again because of Rey's scream.

"Tomorrow to accompany me to Reina's grave, yes" Rey's pinta.
