I'm Not a High School Boy
CHAPTER 46: Dangerous Cooperation

Gisel was still standing where he stood. He knew what Nabila meant. He can understand it. Just like Clara did to Kanaya back then, what Clara did to Nabila today is still the same, all about money.

"I tried my best so I could be my mom's favorite. So that I don't have the same fate as you or Adrian. But, actually? Nothing has changed. Mama still looks at me just like you guys."

Nabila returned to wipe her tears. Angry, desperate, tired, fed up, everything was clear from the look on his face.

"So, you want to laugh, laugh. Satisfied yourself. Because tomorrow you won't see me" continued Nabila.

"Where are you going?" asked Gisel.

Nabila shifted her eyes. "I'm going to find my real father."

"Baby?"

"Mama always said my dad was dead. But I know he's lying. I'll look for him and stay with him" explained Nabila.

"How are you going to look for it?" asked Gisel.

"I had the letters first. I'll ask people. Whatever, I'll find it anyway."

Gisel heaved his long breath heavily. He did not expect Nabila to be this naive.

"Why don't you just stay. Trying to find a way to cancel the match. Only then will you slowly find out where your father is."

"You know how mom. Have you been able to escape it all this time? If I can derail this one, it doesn't mean you'll just stop."

Gisel. Nabila's right. Kanaya and Ian are living proof of Clara's cruelty.

"But, at least it's better than you having to go out of the house without a definite goal and plan" Gisel said slowly.

Nabila had thought about it, but then he seemed to underestimate it. The next thing he did was take his backpack, then carry it back on both shoulders. Nabila returned to his feet.

"What if you stay?" asked Gisel suddenly.

But Gisel's question could again stop Nabila's move.

"I'll help you find information about your father."

Nabila now turned to look at Gisel. He's probably looking for the truth of Gisel's statement.

"Until your father is found, hang in the house."

Nabila seemed to still think about Gisel's words. He seemed hesitant, but it was also hard to resist. In the end, Nabila agreed. They finally walked back home together.

During the trip, Gisel thought about everything Nabila had done to him during this time it turned out that something was causing him so. Her instinct to survive was under the auspices of Clara who pushed her to be such a bitch. Who would have thought? Not even Gisel.

But, the thing that Gisel realized was that it was true what people said. Something happens because there is a cause. And this is the cause of Nabila being a teenager like that.

At that instant, Gisel felt concerned for the child.

......................

Gisel was sitting on a bench in a city park. During the day, the atmosphere of the park is quite quiet, especially on weekdays like today. There were only a few people sitting or walking around enjoying the quiet atmosphere in the park.

After school, Gisel went to a park in the city center to fulfill his promise to Rafael. The city park became their meeting place just as Gisel wanted. Besides being easier for Alpha team members to move around, this place could be far from the sight of people they know.

In the end, Gisel did not wait for Rey to return to see Rafael. He knew Rey would definitely scold him later once the man returned. But, at least Gisel brought the Alpha team with him. He hoped that Rey would not be too angry about this decision.

There is a reason why today Gisel decided to meet with Rafael. Gisel, whose plan was originally to wait for Rey to return, suddenly changes his plan. If it wasn't for Rafael suddenly saying he had evidence that could make Clara lose to Lia in terms of Kanaya's guardianship, Gisel would not want to be here at the moment.

Kanaya's guardianship rights, which are now so important to Gisel, make it difficult to reject Rafael's invitation.

As soon as Gisel awoke from his daydream, Rafael was already standing before him. As usual, his calm demeanor never escaped him.

"Just go. What evidence do you have?"

Rafael, who was not waiting for Gisel, invited him to sit down, laughing as soon as he was ready to sit next to Gisel.

"Haha ... it looks like your desire to get out of Clara soon," he said with a laugh.

Gisel showed the look of his dislike face to the man. His purpose was not to be laughed at, but to seek answers. And the reaction of Rafael who laughed at him really made him angry.

"Okay, sorry," he said suddenly as he held back his laughter. "But, the information I'm about to give you is not just free."

"What do you want?"

"Exchange."

"Exchange?"

"Clara kept some ownership documents of some assets that I got some time ago. I want that document. Don'worry. It's not Farhan's. I took it from someone else."

People like Rafael have often done such dirty things. But, when Rafael told Gisel, he was already disgusted by all his actions. The man did not even feel the slightest guilt when he said that.

"I just want mine. And you are free to have what is yours" Rafael continued.

"So what do you want me to do?" asked Gisel as a sign he agreed to their deal.

"All the information you need about Farhan and Clara is in her study. There you will find the evidence you want. Documents I'm referring to, Clara also kept them there."

"Where do I know you're not lying?" asked Gisel.

Rafael laughed again. "Haha ... Come on .. I've given you a lot of information. All about Clara also you have proven yourself through Nabila yesterday. Am I still not convincing you?"

"But I don't know if this information is correct or just your wits" Gisel argued.

"Hahaha .. clever. Very clever" Rafael said in his laughter. "I'm free not to believe it. But, I'm going to add one thing that will get you excited about looking for evidence of it."

Raphael drew himself closer to Gisel. In a whisper, Rafael said, "Before he died, your father made a videotape of his last will. It really is the last. And did you know that your father didn't die in an accident?"

Both of Gisel's eyes widened. He could see Rafael moving slowly away from him while smiling wickedly at him. In his head at the moment was just a question of whether the man with such a smile was truly trustworthy or not.

"It looks like you're already excited," said Rafael who was still with his evil smile.

"Tomorrow, Clara will go with me out of town. That's when your chance to search Farhan's study. I guess just Nabila and Adrian at home doesn't matter to you?"

"Why should I take it? Why don't you ask Clara yourself?" asked Gisel in doubt of everything Rafael said.

"Because Clara won't give it to me. His plan to destroy you will be carried out soon. And I am included in that destruction. I don't have much time, or Clara will run away with all of mine" Rafael explained. Gisel could see there was as much anger from both of his eyes.

"As you can see for yourself. Clara has never loved anyone but herself. Therefore, he would not hesitate to do everything even to his own son."

Almost everything Rafael said was true. Regardless of whether it was all true or not, but some of them had already seen Gisel himself before.

"It looks like you've already begun to understand my words." Raphael now moved from his seat. But he's not leaving yet. Rafael still has the words he wants to say.

"Tomorrow the day after tomorrow, I will send you the location of our meeting. Bring the documents I want, and you're free to do anything with the evidence you have."

And Rafael left after saying that. He didn't turn around though. His steps continued to advance as Gisel continued to look at the shadow of Rafael who continued to stay away from him.

Gisel had no other choice at the moment. Finding the evidence was a way that Gisel could think of right now to prove Rafael's words were true or not. And tomorrow is the best time Rafael has given Gisel to do it.
