I'm Not a High School Boy
Chapter 22: Suspicions of Adit and Tika

Gisel still kept his eyes closed and tried not to move as long as Clara and Rafael were nearby, though his body felt stiff and wanted to feel moved.

"I have to file a complaint. The employees here are really not very smart," cried Clara.

Gisel can feel Clara's anger even if only by hearing her voice. He could clearly imagine how the crazy woman's face looked right now.

"Main spray-pain. They should've seen it first, there were people or not."

Gisel was convinced it must have been the actions of his bodyguards who tried to prevent Clara from arriving in the room.

"Good work all of you! I'll tell Om Satrio, next time tell them to throw mud in his face, "inner Gisel.

Shortly after, the old man probably came out of the bathroom. Because Clara was heard to stop talking and greet someone.

"Ah, Mr. Abraham. Is Mister okay? Sir need anything? Just say it, Master," said Clara in a very soft tone that even overcame the softness of the silk cloth.

"Mr Abraham? Mr Abraham who? I have to find information about him, "inner Gisel again.

"no need. I'm fine."

The atmosphere became quiet shortly after. Gisel became nervous with that silence. He kept thinking what they were doing. Concerns about being caught keep popping up in his head.

"What did the doctor say?" The old man called Lord Abraham by Clara finally started to make a sound. Gisel immediately felt relieved.

"The doctor said they didn't know what was going on with him. Therefore, doctors are still observing it further" explains Clara.

"What's wrong with him?" asked Abraham again.

"I-it .. I don't know either. No problems with her vital condition. She, she just ... wouldn't open her eyes." Clara sounded quite cautious as she explained it to Mr. Abraham. Clara's concerns about Mr. Abraham's anger were very clear.

"Are you guys doing a show in front of me? Or is he just pretending to be asleep?"

Suddenly, a blunt object pushed his arm many times. Gisel suspected that it was the wand of the master of the bangka.

"Bad! What the hell do you think I am? Corpse?" said Gisel in his heart.

"D-he, he's really sick, sir. Doctors are still trying to figure out the cause."

Clara sounded increasingly frantic with Mr. Abraham who was becoming increasingly impatient. This is the first time Gisel has seen such a beautiful Clara. Back when she pretended to be sick, Clara wasn't that sweet.

"If he doesn't wake up, there will be no contract. I don't want to marry a girl who just sleeps. Or if you can find another girl, I'll consider the contract."

After saying that, there was no sound of Mr. Abraham. He only spoke once to someone Gisel thought was someone who was accompanying him.

Mr. Abraham may no longer be in the room, because after that, Clara vented her anger at Gisel who was still lying.

"It's all because of you! It's useless! Always making it hard!," he snapped.

The mood was silent again. Gisel almost thought the room was empty. But then, he sensed someone was approaching him. Gisel once felt this kind of feeling.

The same feeling as Rafael approached him.

And it turned out to be true.

"It's a shame."

Gisel then felt Rafael's hand touch his face. His anger returned when he remembered what Rafael had done to him that night.

"When she was very beautiful. Too bad it has to be like this."

THE HORN!

The sound of the room door opening made Rafael stop his hand.

"Why are you? Don't try to touch Aya."

Tika's voice sounded furious. Shortly after, Gisel felt a bang on his bed. Gisel believes Tika is keeping Rafael away from him.

"Go or I'll call security!"

"Didn't your parents teach you to be polite to older people?" asked Rafael. He still sounded relaxed even though the words he spoke could be an expression of his displeasure.

"My parents taught me to beat up a brash person even though he was older" Tika snapped. "And that means including you."

"If you hurt Aya once again, I'll find a calculation with you." This time it was Adit's voice that clearly sounded his anger.

Rafael may have come out of the room, because next Gisel heard a sigh of relief Tika.

"Who is that old man with Clara? Are they from here?" asked Adit.

"yes too. Who's the old man? Si Clara must have another crazy idea that will make Aya difficult," said Tika growled.

The mood was silent for a moment. Gisel suddenly felt a soft touch on his face.

"Yes ...," call Tika Iirih. "You just got well. Now you are like this again. Why does it seem like bad luck is never far from you?"

The atmosphere in the room became quiet again. Neither Adit nor Tika, neither of them spoke. I don't know what they're doing.

"Adit ...."

Tika's voice suddenly broke their silence.

"Did you feel something was different from Aya since she fell into the pool?"

Gisel felt a surge in his heart. Tika who suddenly discussed this matter must be suspecting something.

"The doctor said Aya amnesia."

"Is he just amnesia? ... I mean, can a person with amnesia change completely like that?"

"You mean?" Adit's question may be brief, but Gisel can sense Adit holding something back.

"Don't you feel Aya's character has changed so much? Aya who is now much braver than Aya who used to be."

Gisel felt Tika's hand rub her forehead.

"How to talk, stare, and walk, everything ... Like it wasn't Aya. Do you remember the time his hands were exposed to liquid in the chemistry lab? I saw Aya glaring sharply at the child who nudged her. I've never seen Aya do that before, Adit."

"I mean .. if it's Aya amnesia, is it possible to change someone so completely different?"

"Actually ..." Adit finally gave his response after he was silent.

"... i suspect something too. Do you remember what happened on the playground?"

"Are we thinking the same thing?" asked Tika enthusiastically. He did not wait for Adit to explain everything thoroughly, as if he already knew what Adit was thinking.

Adit continued, "I can understand if Aya forgets us because of her amnesia. But ... I've never heard that amnesia can cause someone to have new abilities?"

"I know Aya is very good at dancing. But, I've never known Aya judo or any other martial arts training before."

Gisel was still listening to them speak. He never thought they would suspect him, because at the playground they didn't talk much about it. Who would have thought they suspected it, but didn't say it.

"Is it possible for Aya to practice secretly?," asked Tika.

"Since when? If before the incident at the pool, we will definitely know. From his movements will all be clearly visible. Aya did not look like a person who was proficient in martial arts. And even if after the incident, how long was it? A month? Can Aya be that successful in a month?"

"True, too" replied Tika. "Aya used to be very good at dancing. But the current Aya, I'm not sure she still remembers how to dance."

Gisel cursed in his heart. "They're actually praising me or vilifying me?"

"There's something else I suspect ...," Adit continued.

Gisel felt Tika move away from him. Tika seems interested in what Adit will discuss next.

"When I got home from school, I saw Aya walking quite far from school. I saw him climb into the car where my papa was waiting for him there."

Gisel knew what Adit meant. "It turns out not only Rey saw it, but Adit, too" inwardly.

The mood was silent for a moment. But then, Tika asked, "Do you think Aya is hiding something from us?"

"I don't know either. We should ask her directly to Aya."

Gisel thought it was natural for them to keep asking about Kanaya's changes. If they suspect him, it means that the difference between him and Kanaya is huge. And obviously they'll be worried about him.

But, telling Tika and Adit everything was never on Gisel's list of plans, although he was saved by them several times. Gisel doubted what was the right thing to involve them? If they found out, Gisel was worried that they would treat him differently. And that could be suspicious for Clara, Nabila, and Rafael.

Adit and Tika were in the room long enough. I don't know what time the two boys finally got home. Gisel waited long enough to make sure they didn't come back again.

But then, the door of his room was reopened by someone. Gisel kept up his acting.

"Who is this time?," he said.
