CHAPTER 14: Facing Raphael Again

Gisel stood glued to look at Rendi, Adit's father who also did the same with him. They stared at each other and each other just to find the answer to what they saw.

"Who are you really? How do you know so much about the project? Even that was not mentioned in any media," asked Rendi again.

Gisel was silent. He bit his lower lip, and thought about whether he should say it to Rendi or not. His finger was almost injured as he continued to play with his fingernails.

"Team Delta, Mr. Falcons. Adit even told me you can immediately guess who designed the B2 area. No one can do that but Ms. Gisella herself. But we all know what happened to Ms. Gisella. So, who are you? Are you really the Kanaya you've known all along?"

Gisel never doubted Rendi's loyalty to Skylar. He was one of the best Skylar had so far. He entrusted the plan to her. But saying everything he experienced to Mr. Rendi, is the right thing?

"You're looking for Satrio. Wh-wh-what for? How do you know him? How do you know he's here? You'd better say it now, because I'll keep forcing you to get the answer."

Gisel gathered all his forms of courage. Although he would be laughed at, he would face it today.

"Does Mr. Rendi believe in the name of a raga move?" asked Gisel.

Rendi still looked at Gisel without saying anything. Gisel was convinced that Rendi was thinking about something to prove that everything Gisel said was true.

Rendi took another step forward. This time the distance between the two became very close.

Gisel let out his small laugh. "No password, sir. We need retina and fingerprint matching."

Rendi looked at Gisel as if she could not believe all the results of her experiment.

"How much salary did I receive last month?"

"Sir Rendi is serious?" said Gisel while laughing. "I only know the bonus that Mr. Rendi received. Because I signed it myself. Three-fourths of Mr. Rendi's salary. It was a bonus for the field executives involved in the project. They've been working hard to finish area B6 faster."

"Mom Gisella!! What happened to Mom?" cried Mr. Rendi.

Gisel immediately panicked in fear when he heard Rendi's cry calling his name.

Unfortunately, Satrio wasn't there.

"I'm going to need help after this. There are so many things I have to do besides Skylar" Gisel said.

"Tell me what you need, Om will provide. Does Alpha need to be around you? Their main job is to take care of you."

"No need, Om. I'll be fine as long as I'm Kanaya. Don't tell anyone about this."

Gisel tells Satrio a lot about the things he needs, including complete information about the Bharatajaya family. And it turns out that during this time Skylar did a lot of cooperation with Farhan company that always supplies all the needs of Skylar, including the affairs of the project in it.

With Satrio knowing about his current condition, he hopes to overcome all of Skylar's problems by becoming Kanaya. So too with all the problems of Kanaya.

When Gisel arrived at his house, it was already late at night. Satrio delivered it. But Gisel asked to be dropped off some distance from his home.

I don't know where everyone is, because when Gisel got into it, the house was very quiet. Gisel doesn't care where they go. All he wanted now was a drink. The trip home through traffic jams due to rush hours, making him thirsty.

Gisel was downing the glass of cold water he had just taken from the fridge, as he sensed someone was walking up to him.

Gisel started to prepare. His heart beat violently every time that person approached him. Because he felt something unusual from that person. Something different from when Nabila did the same thing back then.

As an arm passed over his right side, Gisel immediately recalled the same arm that once tried to lock his neck from behind.

"Rafael!!," he screeches inwardly.
