I'm Not a High School Boy
CHAPTER 24: Against Clara's Decision

"It's really you, right? You're conscious, right?"

Tika repeatedly checked Gisel. Right, left, front, back. Perhaps still unsure, he once again examined Gisel.

Along with that, his mouth did not stop asking.

"Are you really conscious? When did you realize? You're all right, aren't you? Have you checked the doctor?"

Adit who entered with Tika was still standing by the door staring in disbelief at the figure of Kanaya who he saw was currently sitting on his bed, healthy, not looking sick at all.

"Yes ... k-when did you realize? D-doctor, have you called the doctor? I-I went ask the doctor ..."

And just like that, Adit instantly disappeared from Gisel's sight.

Gisel was still shocked by the sudden arrival of Tika and Adit. He did not think at all about the possibility that they would arrive earlier than rush hour because school is off today. If he had thought about this, he would have stayed on his bed.

But now, Adit and Tika already know. What else is regretted? What Gisel had to think about now was the next step.

Gisel glanced at Rey, as did Rey. They speak with their head, eyes, and shoulders.

"Where is this?" Gisel moved his head slightly.

Rey also slightly shrugged her shoulders. "I don't know ..."

Gisel immediately narrowed both his eyes. Rey also shifted her eyes.

It didn't take long for Adit to bring doctors and nurses into the room. As expected, their reactions were the same, shocked.

Gisel only answered a few questions when the doctors examined him. Hands, feet, face, all checked. Is anyone sick? Does anything feel uncomfortable? Was this? Was it?

For medical science, what is experienced by Kanaya's body may be considered unreasonable. Therefore, they wanted an overall examination.

Let alone them, Gisel also still did not find a logical reason that could explain this condition. The logical reason they could give Gisel was amnesia.

Doctors and nurses eventually came out after more than 30 minutes in their rooms. Gisel still had to undergo several other examinations, before he was finally allowed to go home.

"By the way ..." Adit finally started to make a sound. "Sir Reynard was here?"

Tika also seems interested in Rey's answer, because then she turns her eyes towards Rey.

Rey suddenly became nervous. "Er .. Yes, I'm here."

Adit is not satisfied. "Sir Reynard comes here often? Because this time I met you here."

"Sometimes. I look at Kanaya sometimes" Rey replied. It seems she was nervous.

"Did you guys bring anything? I just woke up, feeling really hungry." Gisel tries to help Rey get out of that unpleasant situation.

Tika and Adit come to see her best friend who they think is still in a coma. Of course they didn't bring anything. Adit was the first to offer himself to look for food.

While they were discussing the food Adit was going to buy, Rey took advantage of the opportunity to get out of the room.

"Do you know each other besides school?"

Saving Rey doesn't mean making herself safe. After Rey and Adit came out of her room, this time Tika started questioning Gisel.

Gisel chose to be careful in answering before Tika suspected him. "Sir Rey? Just in school, yeah."

Tika narrowed both her eyes. "I saw Mr. Rey's hand holding your head. You guys look familiar."

Gisel swallowed his saliva. Both of his eyes turned upwards. He was forcing his brain to look for the right reason.

"Mosquito. Yes, mosquitoes. There was a mosquito flying overhead. Mr. Rey helped to kick him out."

For five seconds, Tika was still processing Gisel's words. Then then, nod his head. "Oh .. true as well."

Gisel's breath was full of relief.

Lying is not something he never did. Sometimes, he does so if he is negotiating with his business colleagues. But, for this time, for some reason, it felt so hard to lie to those children. She almost thought being in Kanaya's body made her lose her ability.

Although it was a bit long, Adit finally came up with his food. It was still calm all that time. The storm came after that.

The three pairs of eyes in the room were fixed directly on a woman they thought was crazy. Yes, Clara. The mad woman came with her bright face. He seemed happy to see Kanaya so well.

"You know how long I waited for you to wake up?" said Clara, shaking Gisel's body.

Gisel tries to rid himself of Clara. Tika even helped her.

"This time, don't try to go into a coma again."

"He, Mistress! Would I want to go into a coma like that? Dikira Aya pay premium times yes to be able to continue coma," snapped Tika.

Gisel did not expect Tika to be that brave as to talk to Clara with such a tone of speech. "Looks, they've been like this a lot, "inner Gisel.

"You should learn to control your mouth. Your parents never taught you manners, did they?" Clara kept glancing at Tika.

"Why are his parents? Any issues?"

Bagas's baritone voice made Clara start to flutter. He's like a thief who just got caught stealing. The distance with Tika who was so close, now inched away.

Tika saw Bagas immediately run to embrace his father, who turned out to come with a woman called Tika with the call of mama. Gisel recalled that when he had just met Bagas, the man had mentioned his name once.

"You got a problem with me? Just say it now," challenge Bagas once more.

Such a suppressed Clara chose silence and did not continue her emotions. Amongst his madness, he seemed to know his life also depended on Bagas.

"I'm just out! It's stuffy!"

No one cared about Clara coming out of that room. They focus more on Gisel than on sulking Clara.

"What does the doctor say?" asked Bagas.

Tika, who had hugged her mother's arm, now brought her mother in, then came forward to Bagas, her father.

"The doctor said, Aya still needs to be examined further. They want to make sure that Aya is really okay."

"They still don't know the cause?" asked Bagas again.

"Yet, Pa. In 2 days, if nothing is found, Aya can go home. But, Aya will check up twice a week."

Maya, Tika's mother, steps her foot closer to Gisel. The soft and loving figure sat beside Gisel, then stroked Gisel's hair.

"How are you feeling? Are you sure there are no complaints?" he asked.

Gisel nodded his head. "Yes, I'm sure."

"Is it okay to let her go home?" she asked Bagas, her husband.

"The doctor found nothing. Long stay here is also free. At least the doctor still asks her to check up every week. That means the doctor is still figuring it out and making sure she's okay" replied Bagas, whose tone was not as good as it was while talking to Clara.

For quite a long time, they were there to accompany Gisel. In the afternoon, they left.

After Gisel was alone in his room for a long time, Clara went to see Gisel.

"Look, yeah! The marriage will continue. You will marry Mr. Abraham. Do you remember what would happen if you dared to fight me? Mr. Abraham has decided to marry you next week."

Clara seemed to be waiting for them all to really come home and then she went in to see Gisel. It seemed, Clara did not want everyone to know about her plan. Which means, he'll do it stealthily.

But Gisel wasn't that stupid.

"So that's what you want to show me, Om?"

Gisel looked at the tall, dashing man who had just walked out of the bathroom shortly after Clara came out of the room. Tacitly, unbeknownst to anyone, including Tika or Maya, Gisel asks her to return via message.

Fortunately, Bagas quickly responded. He doesn't even mind hiding inside the bathroom and waiting for Clara to come back.

"So you have a plan?"

Gisel looked at Bagas' two eyes with his confident gaze. Her belief was strong that she could annul the marriage.

"Yes, Om. I have."
