CHAPTER 5: The Two Faces of Clara

"Yes ..."

An anxious-sounding call from Tika's mouth woke Gisel from his unconsciousness. His mind that had started to wander around, had now returned to its nest.

Gisel looked at Tika who was currently staring anxiously at him. And so was Adit standing behind him.

"I'm okay. Really," said Gisel to convince them. "Sorry to make you worry."

"Say your doctor was exhausted. I shouldn't have brought you up earlier" Adit said regretfully.

"I was wrong. I forced you. Don't listen to the doctor. Usually they just like to look for excuses" Gisel said.

"It has. Anyway you are banned from everywhere from now until you get out of the hospital. Understand, Aya?" cried Tika.

"Hmm ...," replied Gisel briefly.

After two days of treatment, doctors finally allowed Gisel to leave the hospital. Her new anxiety at the moment is how she is in her new home. Of course it's new, it's Kanaya's house, not hers. How will he get used to himself in a house he doesn't recognize at all?

Bagas and Clara today came to the hospital to take care of her return. The other kids are in school right now. "Thank God, I can avoid this temporary drama queen," Gisel thought.

"For a while you rest at home, yes. Don't go to school until you've fully recovered" Clara said, gently stroking her head. Meanwhile, Gisel's head inched away from Clara's hand. Her heart was hard to believe what Clara was doing right now since she saw Kanaya's memories of this woman.

"You wait here first. Om to the administrative office first," Bagas said before he finally came out of his nursery.

After making sure Bagas really left, then the real Clara mask began to be installed.

"God! Denger, yes brash kid," said Clara, pulling Gisel's arm violently. Gisel continued to hold back his anger. He intended to let it go first to make sure what he saw in the dream was true.

"You don't need that much sick drama. Coming home from here I will make the same calculation for you. Do not talk much about Nabila. Watch out for you, yes if it involves Nabila," threatened Clara.

Gisel only looked at him with a sharp look.

"No need to do that! Want to get her eyes plugged?" said Clara.

Shortly after, Bagas enters and Clara again turns sweeter. "I thought I survived being able to escape from Tika. But now, there's another one. It turns out that your life is truly amazing, yes Kanaya," Gisel said in his heart.

The journey back to Kanaya's home was long. Gisel sitting on the passenger bench just looked at the street from the windowpanes. No expression, no thought. For him, everything feels ordinary now.

What was unusual at this moment was his own body. But, enjoying the streets is more calming than thinking about how his life will be. Thinking he would return to school after completely recovering later, it was already completely exhausting for him.

No matter how long the trip took, Gisel only knew the car he was riding in slowly reduced his speed and stopped right in a large house. Not as big as his house, but quite comfortable to look.

Putting on a motherly mask, Clara led him into the house, while Bagas took the bag down from the car and handed it to a half-old man to take in. Gisel thought maybe that guy worked in that house.

A woman who was not too old came to greet him as Gisel entered the house. He hugged Gisel and continued to gently rub his arms. Clara then handed Gisel to the woman to be taken to her room.

"Nah .. This is Non Aya's room. Do not rest first, later if you need anything, call Bik Idah, yes," said the woman, who turned out to be a household assistant.

After Bik Idah came out of his room, Gisel began exploring Kanaya's room. Not a big room, but comfortable. There are some standard items owned by children of the age of Kanaya. Bookshelf, study table, doll, game console. "Hhmm ... not bad either," thought Gisel.

The man who had brought his bag had now left after putting the bags in his room. Gisel went back to explore Kanaya's room, this time he noticed the phone and also the laptop on it. "It's Kanaya's?"

But, just a few steps, Bagas back again, "Oh yes, it will be noon after school Tika and Adit will come here."

And this time, Bagas really left.

Gisel again curious about Kanaya's cell phone and laptop. The moment he pressed the on button on his phone, there was no reaction after that. "It looks like it's out of battery" said Gisel.

He then opened one by one the desk drawer to find the cellphone charger. Soon, the phone was connected to the charger.

Next, Gisel tried to turn on the laptop next to the phone earlier. But, just as Gisel was about to try to turn it on, Clara suddenly went inside her room, then pulled her arm violently.

"Come, stand. Do your job as usual. Getting out of the hospital does not mean good. Get up!," snapped Clara.

"The old woman is absolutely outrageous" Gisel wrote in his heart.

Clara continued to pull Gisel out of her room. Gisel who did not like to be treated like a worthless animal, felt his pride seemed to be trampled by Clara. He was eager to snap at this crazy woman before him like he was doing that to others, but undone his intentions. Gisel still has to survive to figure out how this family really is.

"Of ..."

The brain in Gisel's head suddenly found its way, and immediately put it into practice. He held his head while grimacing in pain.

"Okay, my head .. pain ... Ouch ..." Gisel continued to complain of pain. She even sat on the floor to support her acting.

"A-what's the matter? ... W-w-why are you? ..."

Gisel could see Clara almost panicking. He also complained harder. Even Bik Idah ran straight up, where his room was.

"Ow .. looks like my amnesia ..."

"Have, already ... Y-you're in the room. Bik, take her to her room" Clara snapped, then left Gisel and Bik Idah.

"The lady cooked so. Non Aya had just come out of the hospital, had been told to work," Bik Idah said, saying that Gisel had reentered his room.

Gisel still maintained his extraordinary acting up to his room, and until Bik Idah had completely abandoned him. After feeling safe, he went back to looking at Kanaya's belongings, especially her laptop.

"If I can light this up, maybe I can tell what Kanaya looks like. And also this laptop I can use to contact my people on Skylar," said Gisel.

A few seconds after opening, the laptop asked for a password.

"What password? What the fuck use all passwords," said Gisel annoyed.

"Kanaya, can't you give me your laptop's password memory?"

Gisel thought he was talking to Kanaya, but Gisel seemed to be talking to himself. How else, that was all I thought when I remembered Kanaya was also inside her body.

"Ah, let me find a way later" said Gisel, knocking himself on his bed.

It felt so comfortable that Gisel slowly closed his eyes and enjoyed his comfort. Despite all the problems he was facing, sleeping on the mattress actually made his entire body feel light without any burden.

"Maybe after this .... Kanaya will give her memories when I ... sleep," said Kanaya lirih.
