As Rey said, when Gisel woke up, he didn't see Rey anywhere. A lot of people went in and out of her nursery before she came home, but Rey wasn't one of them. Although he knew where Rey was going, but every time the door opened and it wasn't Rey that he saw, a huge hole was being plugged in his heart. A minute later, Gisel had already started to miss him.
"Hhhhh ...." Gisel took a deep breath and threw it away along with his gulp. "I also have a job to do."
The day after Gisel was discharged from the hospital, he returned to school. The first thing he remembered was obviously Rey. As she thought about it, it turned out that there were a lot of things she went through with Rey during her school days.
"Ten days huh, Rey?" he asked softly. His smile was quite bitter, but at least it could calm his heart down a little.
......................
Gisel was walking with Tika towards the cafeteria as they passed through the very end of the school hallway. The hallway is at the very end. That's why the hallway is so quiet.
Usually those who want to go up to the practicum room on the top floor will definitely pass here, because there is a ladder that leads to it.
But, by Gisel and Tika, the road was used as a shortcut to the canteen, yes because rarely anyone passed through it.
But, then ...
THE PLAQUE!
Gisel and Tika instantly stopped stepping. They were sure they had just heard the sound of a slap. Slowly, they walked over to peek at what was going on.
Apparently, Nabila was with his two friends.
"For your half-brother, Vienna is at risk of imprisonment. Vienna is always your brain. It's like this is the payoff."
Gisel could see Nabila just silently holding her cheek. Apparently they just slapped him. There was no anger in Nabila's face, nor was there any fear. Nabila did not even show any reaction. He just silently accepted their treatment of her.
"If it wasn't for Vienna, I wouldn't have gotten your hands on it."
The two teenagers who used to always call Gisel as friends of Nabila, now do not look like that. One by one they advanced to Nabila, then made him cornered and unable to move.
They hit her on the shoulder, pushed her back, even grabbed her hair.
Until, one of them came forward to approach Nabila, then pushed his head with his fingers. Repetitively.
"You could be in our circle too because of Vienna."
That's her! Enough is! Gisel began to growl. He did not like the sight he was seeing right now. Soon he came out of hiding. Tika followed him from behind.
Gisel immediately caught the hand, stopping him from disturbing Nabila.
"Deliver! You don't have to interfere. It's our business."
Gisel could see the look of hatred from the child he held in his hand. Both of the boy's eyes kept glaring at him. Meanwhile, the other child is being held captive by Tika, so she cannot go forward to help her other friend.
Gisel continued to hold the hand, pressing it hard enough without causing him any pain. That alone was enough to raise the child's emotions.
"You said it yourself, he's my brother. That means, this is my business" challenged Gisel back.
The boy was silent. Shortly after, he pulled his hand from Gisel's clutches violently.
The kid's frustration was already high enough, but they took a smart step by preparing to leave. Before leaving he said, "As long as Vienna is not free of your beloved brother, you are not part of us."
Gisel was still glaring at the two children leaving. Tika even snorted as they passed by. But none of them reacted.
"I don't need you to be sorry. So, there is no need to defend me," said Nabila who followed her friends away earlier.
Tika was almost annoyed to hear that. He would nag if Gisel didn't hold him back.
Before Nabila went far enough, Gisel said something to her, "You also have the right to choose a friend, Nabila. They don't have the right to treat you like this."
Nabila paused for a moment, then said, "You know nothing about my life. So, no need to bother giving silly motivations."
And Nabila continued his journey.
"Based on the arrogant chick!," cried Tika as she gave her leg kick in the air.
"Already, already ... come on, to the cafeteria. Adit must have waited a long time," said Gisel to calm him down.
But, clearly, Gisel felt he could get close to Nabila.
......................
Gisel had just returned from her after-school outing with Tika, when someone greeted her as she was about to approach her home.
"Good afternoon, dear Kanaya."
That voice, that voice Gisel was very familiar with. The voice that he had not heard for quite a while, but it would not be easy for Gisel to forget it. Because the owner of the voice is a person who has given himself a lot of trouble so far.
Rafael, of course.
Gisel did not answer Rafael's greeting. He only gave the man the stares of his two sharp and extremely unfriendly eyes.
But occasionally Gisel glanced at the circumstances around him. He could see the Alpha Team members were already preparing in his position. They know what they have to do if Rafael attacks him.
That's if it's Rafael's plan. But what does Rafael want?
The man suddenly laughed loudly.
"No need to be so careful. Haha ... I'm just here to have a chat" Rafael said.
Gisel still remained silent without a word. He was still trying to read what situation Rafael was bringing before him. In his head still vividly remembered his conversation with Satrio about Rafael and Corens. But, there was clearly no way Gisel would ask her about it.
"Haha .. I'll just go ahead."
Rafael will just step foot, Gisel immediately stop him.
"Stop! That's enough there. Tell me what you want to say from there."
Rafael looked quite surprised. But, he obeyed.
"It's not serious, there's no need to be too tense" he said.
His relaxed attitude seemed to never be separated from the way he spoke. Either way in any situation, his attitude was too annoying to see for Gisel.
"I know you and Bagas thought I was the man behind all your stepmom's evil plans. But, you guys are wrong. The real villain is Clara, your own stepmom."
Gisel had yet to show any interested expression at everything Rafael had said. He's still figuring out what Rafael really wants.
"I'm sure you already know about Clara's doll company. The company wasn't my idea, it was Clara herself. You're wrong if you think the company is just to divert Farhan's assets into Clara's. Oh no, more than that."
"Diversion of assets is only the initial goal. The end goal is to have you destroyed along with the doll company. Then go along with the money."
"Whatchu mean? Who are you talking about?" asked Gisel.
"Do you know that the company also receives investment from others? Once Clara has cashed in Farhan's assets, she will drain all the investment funds in it. Then go with the money. And who will bear all his sins? Of course, you guys. Yeah, youguys. You, Adrian, and Nabila, the kids."
Gisel still can't believe Rafael mentioned Nabila's name along with his and Ian's. How could he hurt Nabila? All this time Gisel thought Clara loved him.
"Haha ... I told you earlier, didn't I? The real villain was Clara herself. She never cared about anyone, including the child she gave birth to herself." Rafael looked satisfied with the reaction Gisel showed which clearly showed his surprise.
"What's your purpose in saying this? You think I'll believe it?" asked Gisel in doubt.
"I? Of course, I want to save myself. Not only will you be dragged into this matter later, but so will I. Therefore, I am kind enough to tell you to save yourselves as well."
"It doesn't matter if you don't believe it. But in these few days, you will get one of the proofs that my words are true. Come to me, if you believe my words."
After being satisfied to say everything, Rafael finally left Gisel who was still standing thinking about all Rafael's words.
Is what he said right? Is this just one of Rafael's plans? Is Rafael setting him up?
So many questions in Gisel's head at the moment. But trusting Rafael is a difficult choice for him to choose.
All he could do right now was wait and find out.
"Really! I have to tell Bagas and Satrio. That doll company, is it so dangerous, huh?," thought Gisel.
