I'm Not a High School Boy
CHAPTER 56: Surprise in the Last Second

"You suspect Om?," asked Satrio in a low tone. There was no anger in that question. He still looks calm to someone who has just been accused of treason.

"You forgot? Om told you himself that Corens was the one responsible for your accident. Why would Om say that if Om wanted to harm you, Gi?"

Gisel again showed off his cynical smile. He still seemed convinced by his thoughts.

"Remember. Very remembering. But that's not the plot. Because Om came this time it made me think everything Om did back then was just for this plan. So that I don't suspect Om, then agree to the deal. Isn't that right, Om?"

Satrio said nothing. He remained standing between the two Corens bodyguards. They held it as if they were worried that Satrio would run away. The place was surrounded by the Corens. For a person of Satrio's age, where can he run?, Gisel thought.

"Almost everything that Corens knows is known to only a few people. Alpha Team, Kanaya .. who knows if it's not me, Om Satrio, Mr. Rendi, Rey. But, among all of them there was only one person who really knew who the chosen bodyguards were around me," Gisel explained.

"Om's biggest mistake is ... Om is here at the moment," Gisel said giving him an excuse. Both of his eyes immediately looked straight at Satrio who was standing without hesitation or fear. "If Om hadn't come, I probably wouldn't have thought that far."

Satrio then released himself from the grasp of the Corens guards. He then stood up straight while tidying up his suit. He looked back at Gisel who was currently not showing his smile at all.

"Om is a person I trust, because papa does too. I have great respect for Om. Should it be like this until I lose my respect for Om?"

Gisel considered as a substitute for his parents. When his father handed over the leadership of Skylar to him for the first time, Satrio helped him a lot. He entrusted all his business to Satrio. Even when he became Kanaya, the person he first needed and trusted to know all these things was Satrio.

It was painful when he realized this. He doesn't want to believe it. But, the more he thought about it, the more the truth just opened up before his eyes, and the more everything seemed to make sense for his logic, making it even harder for him to deny everything.

Satrio walked slowly towards Corens, then sat down next to him. He no longer looked as helpless as before. His attitude showed all the things Gisel had never seen in this time from someone named Satrio.

"It seems like there's no point in pretending in front of you anymore, Gi," Satrio said without feeling the slightest guilt.

Gisel clenched his teeth, restraining all his anger. "Never ... say my name. I don't want to hear my name being called by someone like you."

Like glass that had been shattered into pieces, that was how Gisel felt right now every second he saw Satrio.

"Om never betrayed you or your father. Om loves you like Om's own son. Your papa will always be your best friend. But ..."

Satrio just silently looked at Gisel as he stopped his sentence. I don't know what the guy was thinking.

"... Om has his own plan to implement. Or, everything Om's been working on has ended up in vain."

"So, from the beginning, this was all a lie?" asked Gisel in a sharp tone. "Everything Om says is never the truth. "

"No, Gi. Some things may be lies. But some others are right. For example, Om's affection is the same as yours as a proud father of his daughter."

"And I'm not proud of that" Gisel argued sternly.

Satrio gave his little laugh. His head bowed without daring to look at Gisel again. Her guilt might be enveloping her right now.

"So, Skylar? You want Skylar?" asked Gisel once again to convince himself.

"You just have to do what Corens said. Om make sure after that you'll be fine" replied Satrio.

"And those are the words of a traitor? Should I believe it?," continued Gisel cynically. One corner of her lips turned upwards.

"You're going to keep killing me, whether I reject it or agree to it. Because you know, as long as I'm alive, I will definitely take Skylar back."

Gisel folded his hands in front of his chest, then turned his gaze away. "I've decided not to trust you since 20 minutes ago."

Satrio laughed out loud. "Haha ..."

Gisel glanced at the room where his body lay. At first glance he saw a shadow that quickly disappeared. And a second later, one end of his lips lifted slightly. But then he let go as if he didn't want anyone else to see him.

"All right!"

One word that Gisel spoke changed the look on Corens and Satrio's face immediately. Both of their eyes were wide. Not because they were angry, but because they were surprised to hear Gisel's words.

"I'll do everything you ask. I just need the medicine, right?" asked Gisel, pointing at a small bottle that had been sitting sweetly on the table in front of him.

"Come on! Starting soon!"

Gisel showed his arms openly to everyone who was there. While Corens and Satrio were still fixated on his shock, Gisel looked so relaxed without any fear at all. He wasn't even afraid considering death had just been offered to him.

The new Corens will move from his seat as Satrio holds back from continuing.

"Wait!" said Satrio, holding Corens' arm. "Why did you suddenly change your mind, Gi?"

Gisel smiled cynically. "What can I do now? Run?" He then shook his head. His lips also sneered as if answering his own question.

"Where can I run? What other choice do I have other than to die at your hands?" replied Gisel casually.

"Come .. do! Before I change my mind," Gisel ordered while showing off his arm at them.

"It's up to me how my life is after this. You decide," added Gisel.

Corens gave a sign to the doctor who was beside him. The doctor who had been waiting anxiously for the moment when he was doing his job was now walking hesitantly towards Gisel. From inside the bag he was carrying, he took out the equipment he needed.

Gisel nodded his head, giving him a sign that he would be fine. And the doctor immediately swallowed his rough saliva. He continues what is his duty.

As the needle almost pierced Gisel's skin, a voice came from behind the doctor.

"Move a little, this knife will rip your artery. Next, you know what's going to happen."

Gisel looked at Rey threatening Corens with a knife in her hand that pointed straight at the base of her neck. His smile was no longer expected to be shown.

A moment later, a voice sounded among the silence present in the room.

"I knew from the beginning, you couldn't be trusted."

CLACK!

Gisel was convinced it was a small gun whose trigger was being prepared.

"Finally you came out too, Rafael," muttered Gisel in his cold smile.
