Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
11. Cannot Avoid

Although she refused, Glacia could not escape her family's dinner. As if it has been a tradition since many years ago, every month family gatherings are routinely held at his home.

The great mansion of Martadinata is indeed a hereditary legacy. Glacia's grandfather gave the possession to John as the first son. Even so, all the assets that are mountainous are not necessarily given entirely to Papa Glacia, all his brothers also got a share.

However, just like humans who are never satisfied, envy must still be enveloping some of them.

Narendra pushed his wheelchair after they got out of the car. Though, Glacia can operate the electric chair itself, but Naren still kekeh push it manually.

As before, Glacia and Narendra clothes are often arranged to look harmonious. Meredith, the butler in their house who always prepared everything. She's Narendra's favorite multitalented old lady. The proof, until now Narendra was at home to maintain it even though he was very old and not worth working. Grateful Meredith is still very fit at her age.

Julian followed from behind. The man seemed to be unable to escape for a moment from Narendra. He's like a loyal dog in Glacia's eyes. Too submissive and obedient, exactly Narendra to his father.

Entering the lobby of the mansion, they were greeted by rows of servants who bowed respectfully. There were already so many parked cars outside. I can be sure some of his family have arrived.

Glacia is very lazy. This kind of event according to Glacia is useless. Meet two-faced people with their sickly, sullen smiles. Really, if Glacia's feet weren't paralyzed, he'd better go for a walk around town. Unfortunately now he could not drive, which Glacia still regretted considering his space is now limited.

Dinner was held in the backyard of the spacious mansion. Flanked by a flower garden that stretches with lights that glow yellowish. Narendra pushed Glacia closer to the gathering of people at the dinner table. The table is very large with a length of approximately ten meters.

Before greeting others, of course they face the head of the family first. John who continues in the footsteps of his father before automatically becomes the leader for all of them.

As soon as he arrived in front of John, Narendra slightly bowed respectfully, as did Julian who immediately placed himself side by side with the other guards there. Glacia was still faithful with a flat face and lazy, even when John smiled and bowed to embrace her did not make Glacia immediately change her face for the better.

"Papa is glad you and Narendra came. Finally Narendra no longer alone attended family gatherings like this," said John, rubbing the back of Glacia wrapped in a white dress, in harmony with Narendra.

"Hm." Glacia only muttered in response to the father's words. "Because this kind of event is useless" he continued, which spontaneously invites tension.

Glacia could see the faces of her family turning sour. He doesn't care because it is so. John took off his embrace, he chuckled awkwardly and told Glacia and Narendra to take a seat immediately.

Apparently the father had prepared a special space for Glacia and his wheelchair. Narendra painstakingly encouraged Glacia to join other families there. The man sat beside him.

Glacia knew in pairs of eyes staring at him, including his cousins who never got along with Glacia. Glacia told me, they're all two-faced and sickening.

Just look at some of those who are acting kindly greeting him. Wrong, more precisely Narendra. Glacia simply threw away her face and put on an indifferent face whenever anyone spoke to her.

"Sir Naren, thank you for your birthday present yesterday. I like it" said Mia, one of Glacia's cousins. He is still in college and will enter the final semester.

Narendra who heard that looked across the table. Mia sits beside her parents who are om and aunt Glacia.

Glacia silently snorted at the girl's timid face. He knew Mia had admired Narendra for a long time.

Glacia almost laughed if only she did not remember her prestige. Glacia cleared her throat softly to make Naren turn her head for a moment.

John who saw his extended family gathered all finally opened his voice. "Because everything's complete, let's start the dinner."

Right after John said that, the servants scattering up from inside the mansion brought out some idea of how many food trolleys. Starting from appetizers, core dishes to desserts. Not to forget they poured wine into each glass.

Glacia ate her pudding gracefully. His eyes quietly circulated watching the dining table residents, until his gaze stopped on Claire. Somehow the woman looked at him continuously, Glacia noticed it from earlier.

After the appetizer, everything started to touch the core meal. When Glacia raised the knife and the fork was about to cut the meat, Narendra was already ahead. The man sliced the meat on Glacia's plate without a sound.

While Glacia had time to sculpt before he could finally master his expression again. "Thank you" he muttered as Narendra finished.

Without Glacia knowing Narendra was a little unmoved, he was still unfamiliar with Glacia's expressions of gratitude. Naturally, before that woman could only say ketus. Saying thank you has been spelled out in spite of being said with a tinge though.

"Together."

They did not realize the interaction did not escape the attention of John. Silently Glacia's father was poking at her lips hiding a happy smile. Lately he observed Glacia's already much calmer attitude.

Meanwhile, Mia noticed Glacia and Narendra with a wry frowning face. The girl held tightly to the knife and fork in her hand, until a soft touch came by as if to remind her to calm down.

Mia looked at the mother who was looking at her in silence. He understood the woman told him not to act foolishly, throwing a knife at Glacia for example.

"Gee!" Glacia's cry invited all eyes towards him. Narendra who was beside him immediately turned his head.

Glacia grimaced in annoyance at accidentally dropping her food onto the lap. The cut of meat covered with sauce managed to stain the white dress he wore. Disgusted he tried to get rid of the meat, but before that Narendra swiftly took the tissue and took the food from the clothes of Glacia.

A servant approached to retrieve the wad of tissue from Narendra. Glacia sighed trying patiently. It really sucks for him.

"I have to go to the bathroom" he said, preparing to pull back the wheelchair.

Narendra looked at him doubtfully. "Shall I take you?"

Glacia squeaking doesn't like. "No need," he said slowly. He then retreated and steered his wheelchair away from the dining table.

Electric wheelchairs that cost almost as much as a new car are quite easy for Glacia in moving. He can also run without worrying about kebablasan. The brakes were perfectly designed and Glacia proved it.

John cleared his throat, turning everyone's attention back to eating. Among all that, Claire's eyes did not stop pointing at Glacia who was now getting further away in the corridor of the mansion.
