"Papa?" Glacia blinked and said raucously. He had just woken up because he felt his sleep was disturbed by someone's subtle strokes.
Apparently it was John who was now looking at him in the shade. Her soft-eyed lips welcomed the newly awakened Glacia from dreamland.
Glacia's eyes circled observing his room. It was still dark since he last slept.
"Tumben Papa's here at night?" ask Glacia wonder. He turned back to his father.
John was silent, at first glance there was a restless look in his eyes, but it all returned to normal and was crushed by a smile. John's hand went down rubbing Glacia's delicate cheeks. He seemed to want to say something but stopped.
"Papa only misses you, forgets that Papa hasn't visited for a week" John replied. "How are you doing? Are there any complaints that bother you?"
Glacia was silent for a moment, then shook her head. "Glacy's fine. The therapy went well."
John wanted to cry hearing that. He knew Glacia was lying because she didn't want to worry him. He nodded trying to smile. "Thank God."
Silent. They are both silent in silence. Soon John reopened his voice. "Glacy?"
"Hm?"
John swallowed. "Papa's sorry."
Glacia frowned confusedly. "I'm sorry for what? Papa didn't do anything wrong."
John shakes. "Papa's been wrong with you. Papa always forces you this and that. You must be depressed about having to follow all Papa's wishes."
"Including ... marrying Narendra," continued John. Glacia felt the father's voice sound a little raucous.
Glacia touched John's hand that rubbed his cheek. "All for Glacy's good. Glacy understands Papa's worried."
"Narendra's a good man, it's not wrong that Papa entrusted Glacy to him. Compared to that ...if Glacy is not married to Narendra, maybe Glacy is currently struggling with heartache by Gallen. Papa's right, Gallen's not a good guy. I know, too, but too blinded by the attention that's really pseudo."
Glacia smiled gently at John. "Papa is a good father. Thank you for keeping Glacy up all this time. Papa and Mama will always occupy the highest position in Glacy's heart. Sorry, so far Glacy hasn't been a good boy for Papa. Glacy had nothing to be proud of. Papa must be sad because of this, right?"
"No, no." John shakes. "Papa is proud to have a child as beautiful as you. You're Papa's most precious daughter."
Glacia laughed a little. "Squeaky. Papa came here even sad. Any problem? Papa's not like always?"
Finally Glacia asked the astonishment that had just erupted. I don't know what happened until John was suddenly enveloped. He looks nervous and worried.
"Is there a problem with the company?" Glacia's heart suddenly beats. Don't tell me this has anything to do with the mess Glacia made.
But John nodded. That means it's not a stock issue. Thenwhat?
"Keep, Papa why?"
Instead of answering, John shrank the corner of his watery eyes. The man cried, something heavy must be bothering him. Glacia was worried.
"Papa?" He tried to get up to sit down and reach for John's shoulder which somehow seemed fragile.
"Father has no one but you" whispered John.
"Papa's family is much," argued Glacia.
"They are no more valuable than you." John looked up, looking at his daughter. "You should be fine."
Although astonished, Glacia still nodded. "Of course, I'll be fine. Don't worry, I'll be able to walk soon. Isn't it Papa who always encouraged me so?"
John nodded. "really. You have to stay up. Whatever the future holds, Papa will always accompany you. Never think you live alone. You have Papa. Maybe, Papa used to pay less attention to you after the departure of Mama. And you found that attention on Gallen. Come to think of it, here Papa has the most to contribute to your rebellious attitude. Papa's really sorry, son."
Glacia let out a long breath. "That's all .. that's important now we're okay."
But you're not okay, Glacy. Inner John.
"It's night. You go to sleep again. Sorry Papa disturbed you. Papa misses you too much." John helps Glacia lie down and covers her.
"Beautiful dreams, dear," he said, peeping at Glacia's forehead.
Glacia nodded with a peaceful pale face. John looked at his daughter a long time before deciding to get out of the room.
Narendra, who had been standing at the door of Glacia's room from the beginning, soon entered his own room. When he came home earlier, he accidentally heard a voice from the wife's room, it turned out that it was his visiting father-in-law.
The sound of the door closing indicates that John has gone. Usually Narendra would welcome the man wherever he was, but at this time somehow he was fixated for a long time.
Narendra was thinking why John looked so sad when he met Glacia. Is there something he doesn't know?
