Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
90. Dear Call

Glacia twisted her hand over the thigh. He sat facing the window, his eyes glazed while occasionally sobbing. It's been a day and a night Narendra locked Glacia in his own ward. The man only allowed doctors and nurses to come in for an examination.

John had not yet visited Glacia. I don't know where the father is, he usually visits Glacia every day.

The door opened, Glacia turned her head. But his face immediately scowled when he saw it enter instead Narendra. Good, the guy's starting to wander. Since confining Glacia, he has never been seen again as if he had done nothing wrong.

Glacia threw away her face when their gaze met. He heard Narendra's approaching footsteps, then the man stopped right in front of Glacia. Narendra knelt down, resting his hands on the arm of a wheelchair. His eyes looked at Glacia fixedly, even though the woman was just looking straight out the window.

"Sorry." That was the first sentence Narendra said. Then the atmosphere returned to silence because both of them were silent.

Narendra touched Glacia's hand, smiling because Glacia did not refuse him. "Eat already?"

Glacia did not reply, Narendra turned to the nightstand beside the bed, where Glacia's breakfast rations were still intact as if untouched. He knew, because the nurse also reported that Glacia had difficulty eating since yesterday he lived.

Narendra looked up again at Glacia. The woman's eyes were red and puffy, even though her cheeks still looked a little wet. He must have just cried.

Narendra's hands stretched out, rubbing the surface of Glacia's face and the corner of his eyes that returned water. Glacia's silenced lips seemed to tremble withstanding the cries. In the end, the sobbing again glided in front of Narendra. The man immediately straightened his body hugging Glacia.

Narendra stroked Glacia's back, trying to calm the woman who was sobbing in her shoulder.

"I'm sorry" Narendra said. "Everything you heard yesterday is not what you had in mind. And please, don't mention your ex-boyfriend's name because I'm jealous."

Glacia's cry grew tighter on Narendra's shoulder. Narendra could feel his shirt wet with Glacia's tears. Occasionally the man sprinkled kisses on the shoulders and sides of Glacia's head.

"You are evil" said Glacia Parau. It was as if he was cursing Narendra in his heart.

Narendra did not mind, yesterday he was too hard on his wife. Every day Narendra thought, and realized his actions would actually trigger stress on Glacia.

"I'm sorry. I was wrong for leaving you like that."

Glacia was still crying, and Narendra continued. "You who keep comparing me to other men piss me off."

"I'm more upset that you still care about Lizy," Glacia replied in a silenced voice.

Narendra took a long breath. "I told you you misunderstood."

Glacia did not answer again. He did not want to discuss yesterday's problems first, because what Glacia now wants is calmness, with Narendra at his side.

Satisfied with spilling the anxiety he had endured since yesterday, Glacia slowly distanced her face from Narendra's shoulder. He looked at the man, even though Narendra looked back at him with a small smile that looked shady.

Narendra cleansed Glacia's face from the remains of tears, then leaned in and kissed the corner of Glacia's lips for a few seconds. He put his face back not five inches. Looking at Glacia at such a close distance was as if giving her own energy.

"You're pale" whispered Narendra involuntarily. Not wanting to upset Glacia, he added. "But pretty."

Glacia remained silent, including when Narendra clenched his lips in a soft cradle. Glacia replied no less gently. Some time they kissed until Narendra away because he knew Glacia was almost out of breath. He rubbed the wet side of Glacia's lips, anchoring one last kiss before moving towards the nightstand.

"You eat first, huh? Take the medicine."

Glacia was still watching Narendra. From the start the man took the tray, then returned to him. Narendra seemed to think as if remembering something.

"I forgot, yesterday we failed breakfast in the park. How about we eat there now?" ask Narendra to offer.

Glacia. "Later you lock me up again."

"will not. Let's just say yesterday you met a crazy guy who didn't know he was treating women, and what you're dealing with now is your husband."

Glacia was grieving while throwing her face away. But then he agreed to Narendra's proposal. "Yes, but don't turn on your phone."

Narendra's forehead is wrinkled. "Why?"

Clucking, Glacia exclaimed in annoyance. "I don't want you mentioning Lizy's name on the phone like yesterday."

Glacia just sniffed indifferently. "Anything that is. If you don't want to."

"okay." Narendra agrees. He first placed the tray in his hand into Glacia's lap, then reached into his phone in his pocket, and deactivated the electronic object. "It."

He showed the dark screen to Glacia. Glacia made no sound, according to when Narendra pushed his wheelchair out of the room. Before that Narendra called one of the bodyguards to help him bring a tray. Glacia must have been a difficulty because the motion of one hand was limited by the infusion.

They arrived at the park, in the gazebo which yesterday had become a place of quarrel. This time there was no juice and such, as Narendra did not plan this breakfast like before.

He pushed Glacia against a table. The bodyguards who followed them put a tray on the table, then took a few steps away and stood not far from the two.

Narendra dragged a chair near Glacia, sat there, taking a bowl of porridge and pouring vegetables over it. Before long the spoon was stretched out in front of Glacia's mouth, but Glacia never opened it.

"You don't eat?" ask the woman.

Narendra smiled with a sledgehammer. "I just had coffee before I got here. Not eating yet."

Glacia's forehead was wrinkled deep. "Who's coffee with?"

Looking at Glacia's suspicious face again, Narendra couldn't bear to not laugh. "You're starting to get jealous, aren't you?"

Instantly Glacia stuttered. "T-no. I'm just asking. Not even answered is okay."

Narendra's naughtiness still prevailed among them. Narendra again thrust the spoon while saying. "Not with anyone. I was even doused in hot water because I didn't stop thinking about my angry wife in the hospital. You still think I have time to approach another woman?"

Narendra raised an eyebrow, sniffing towards the mouth of the faithful Glacia clenched. "Open, Honey. The time for breakfast is almost over. You'll be late for your medicine."

But Glacia was still silent until Narendra frowned because he did not understand Glacia's attitude. "What else is it? Is there something you want to ask? Hurry up and ask."

Glacia. "You ... that, I ..."

Narendra raised an eyebrow, waiting for Glacia to clarify her words.

"I'm just not used to you calling like that yet" Glacia said very quickly. His voice looked embarrassed and doubtful.

"What-like?" Narendra understood. It's just that somehow this conversation is quite interesting to discuss.

"That's ... Darling?"

Narendra's heart was pounding even though he knew the word was not directed at him, but just a question.

"Yes?" Narendra replied as if he were replying. Glacia became increasingly embarrassed, can be seen pale cheeks now slightly blushed look warm.

"I'm not calling you!"

Narendra laughed. Inevitably he put his spoon back in the bowl to serve Glacia's question. "Yes, then why?"

"I'm telling you, I'm not used to that kind of call from you yet."

Narendra nodded in understanding. "Alright, but from now on you should get used to it, because I'll call you that more often."

"Do you want a sweeter call? Like ... Sweetheart, maybe?" continued Narendra. He smiled until his eyes narrowed to look at Glacia.

While Glacia, he stared back at Narendra. Narendra's warm rapture reminded Glacia of the morning sun shining around them. Unconsciously he spoke. "Sunshine."

The whisper of Glacia's plan actually made Narendra think differently. "You want me to call you that?"

"No problem. Sunshine means sun, the call means happiness and positive energy. It seems suitable, I want you to always be happy and filled with spirit and good thoughts to heal," he continued, smiling back rubbing Glacia's chin at a glance. "Now open your mouth and eat, then after this take the medicine."
