Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
27. Glacy or Lizy

"How are you feeling now?" John had just arrived at the hospital about half an hour ago.

He even left all schedules once Narendra told him that Glacia was in the hospital.

Glacia still looked pale and weak, her beat heard from the heart monitor beside the bed. John had met Doctor Teresa, he said Glacia had dropped and was almost critical.

John is really scared right now. The symptoms that Glacia feels have begun to be clear and intense. This made John think hard about finding a solution.

The impact of past accidents cannot be considered mild. In addition to injury to the spinal cord, Glacia previously also had another history on his body, one of which inhibited Glacia treatment. John could only wait for the best decision from the doctor.

"It's better. Papa when is it coming?" ask Glacia raucous.

"Just now" replied John.

"Pa?"

The call of Glacia made John who was originally down to hold the hand of the princess, immediately looked up with both eyebrows raised. "Why, Honey?"

Glacia seemed to think for a moment, before then saying something that lately raised the presumption.

"My condition is not as good as Doctor Teresa said. Right, right?" ask her in a soft voice.

Glacia's drowsy roar made John fold his lips to maintain his expression. He was not surprised, because sooner or later Glacia would have realized it herself.

"Indeed, but you'll heal. It must be healed" John believed.

Glacia said nothing more until the door of her ward opened featuring Lizy. Lizy comes to see him, but what makes Glacia fixated is, the woman enters along with Narendra.

Did they come together?

Might as well. Isn't this what Glacia wanted, seeing them make up?

Glacia's memory came back this afternoon, of Narendra's questions leading up to their relationship. Glacia wasn't sure, so he didn't answer. And now Narendra has been seen with Lizy. Glacia should be happy.

"Glacy's? How is your condition now? Is it better?" Lizy approached and stopped beside Glacia's bed.

The woman gave him a bouquet of flowers and kept the fruit parcels on the nightstand.

"So early this morning when you passed out I was here, but because there was interest so I went home first" continued Lizy.

Wrong, rather your meeting. Glacia again reviewed the smile to cover up the discomfort in her heart. His eyes catch Narendra's eye, but Glacia immediately turns her attention to Lizy.

Lizy is very polite and friendly. He was restrained and meek. Maybe this is what Narendra liked about the woman.

"Don't think about it again. We can still eat together at other times" Lizy said.

Glacia nodded in confirming. Both were involved in small talk for quite a while. In addition, John looked at Narendra who had been silent since. He knew very well who Lizy was, the woman Narendra dated before he told her to marry Glacia.

"Glacia seemed familiar to him," John said as they went outside.

Narendra followed the in-laws who had previously taken coffee. Now the two sit on a corridor bench with each paper cup in hand.

Narendra sipped the hot liquid in his glass, his eyes looking straight ahead just like John.

"Lately they're close" replied Narendra, who invited a comment from the man beside her.

John looked at Narendra complicatedly. He then asked. "You still love him?"

For a moment Narendra fell silent and returned John's gaze. "I'm not a person who is interested in the past" he said diplomatically.

This sentence made John laugh. His voice sounded neutral without any cornering. "Don't the past make us learn?"

"Well, if it makes us feel better. But there are some that must stay in place."

"Including Lizy?"

Unexplained Narendra knew John must understand his point. Lizy is just the past, let it be one of Narendra's experiences regarding his relationship with a woman.

John took his breath slowly. "He's engaged, but if your heart is still attached to him it could be the past it'll be repeated." He looked at Narendra. His lips covered the meaningful smile that made Narendra drown in guessing what he meant.

John doesn't believe him?

"Papa, what are you hiding about Glacia?" Narendra looked right in John's eyes.

Apparently Narendra realized something was wrong with the development of his wife's health. But John thinks that Narendra is diverting their conversation.
