Serving a Paralyzed Wife
7. The Heart that Starts to Doubt

Glacia's days passed gloomily. Life that was originally amazing now turned dark with little hope. He also has not heard from Gallen. Glacia was always waiting for the man to come.

Trying hard to dismiss all the assumptions that arise, as well as the words of John who slowly eroded his trust in the man. At least, Gallen had little chance to see him or just contact him, give him news of his condition, if indeed he was fine as John had said.

Glacia's been trying to find out about her boyfriend this week. His phone was damaged by an accident, and Glacia had to recover some of the data there to the new phone. Although not all of them, there were at least some contacts Gallen and his friend could contact.

Unfortunately, none of Glacia's calls were received, even the chat on social media was illegible. What the hell is it? Why does everything feel so complicated. Glacia did not deny that her heart was beginning to feel awkward and doubtful.

Is Gallen really okay? Then, why didn't the man visit her at all?

Glacia tries to get rid of the thought that Gallen deliberately avoided her. The man must still be in recovery, just like Glacia who is currently undergoing therapy on his legs.

Yes, surely Gallen also needs time after the accident. At first Glacia could think so, but her trust was shaken again by a news story on television. His body was sculpted, he was unmoved staring at the glass screen, where a person he had been thinking about for days seemed to be standing there fit. Accompanied by a narrative that explains the details of the information briefly, that the news was taken yesterday.

"The heir to the MCT Corporation's business empire, Gallen Mou officially took office at the company. Replacing the father who openly handed over power to the only son. Will the MCT develop better in the new era of Gallen Mou leadership? Looks interesting. Check out the full story in the heir's live interview!"

Glacia was fixated with reluctant eyes to blink. He even forgot to breathe when he heard and saw for himself how Gallen spoke there. So, is he really okay? Then why didn't Gallen show up in front of Glacia?

Something seemed to stab his heart so deeply. The feeling of tightness managed to hit the confidence that from yesterday he woke up. Galen is fine, but ..he never met Glacia after the accident. In fact, from the first moment he opened his eyes, the first person Glacia expected was Gallen.

Glacia desperately harbored worry when it was difficult to get news. In fact, Gallen did not want to meet him intentionally. Wh why? Is it because Glacia is now defective?

"How many times does Papa have to say that Gallen's a jerk? You'll know after you feel it."

John's expression again fluttered so that Glacia could not resist his sobs. The atmosphere of the quiet middle space seemed to support Glacia to evaporate all her turmoil. The feeling of tightness that days ago was buried now seemed to overflow unstoppably.

Glacia was crying, she was down on her wheelchair. His little shoulder shook looking fragile. All of that did not go unnoticed by someone who without Glacia realized was flinching in the doorway.

Narendra witnessed for himself how devastated the woman was. He stood up with a rippling expression staring at the frail back of the wife. The haughty face he used to meet, the stubbornness and arrogance he used to face seemed to fade along with tears that spilled.

Glacia slumped after finding out her bastard boyfriend was fine, and she deliberately and consciously did not visit Glacia who could be considered disabled because of his actions.

If Gallen had been more careful in driving, he probably wouldn't have experienced all that.

"Hiks, you're evil, Gallen."

Not wanting to stay silent, the next day Glacia desperately went to the MCT company building to meet Gallen. He came here as a result of forcing the driver to deliver it without telling anyone, let alone the father and Narendra.

With a feeling of uneasiness and a heart that was trying hard, Glacia paused for a moment in front of the lobby, looking up at how high the company of the Mou family was no less big than Martadinata.

Glacia took a breath. He could not contact Gallen as if the access between them was completely closed. Either John did it or Gallen himself deliberately avoided it.

Glacia refused the driver's offer to drive him into the lobby. He pressed one of the buttons of the wheelchair until the electric object itself moved through the entrance.

As much as possible Glacia ignored the pair of eyes that looked at her. There is no way Glacia came out without being recognized by people, his face is often sanser in the news, along with the public of famous figures. Glacia is also active on social media, including YouTube. No wonder some of them recognize it.

Glacia approached the receptionist to ask. They look nervous when they find Glacia with a wheelchair that is even shorter than the table where they work.

Glacia asked Gallen, but strangely the answers were convoluted.

"I want to meet Gallen Mou. Where is he now?" glacia asked once more, this time more resolutely.

"Sorry, Miss. Mr. Gallen is nowhere to be found. He's out on work."

Glacia was not satisfied with the answer. He who does not usually get a rebuttal must be involved in a debate that triggers an uproar. It managed to invite everyone's attention, where they crowded around to notice the strange-looking Glacia with her new appearance.

Glacia Martadinata, the beautiful who often looks perfect, now can only sit helplessly on a wheelchair.

Long feuding with the receptionist, suddenly the arrival of someone diverts all attention. Glacia also turned his head and found Edward Mou, the previous director of the MCT who was none other than Gallen's father. The man just got out of the elevator and walked closer to them.

"What's this?" ask her with a heavy voice. At first glance his eyes glanced at Glacia, he also had time to pay attention to the woman's legs that were bent stiff behind the blue dress she wore.

Edward's arrival made Glacia's smile grow a little hopeful. "Omm? I wanted to meet Gallen, but they arrested me for convoluted reasons" he said.

Edward was silent for a moment. He took a few steps closer to Glacia with both hands sinking in his pockets. "Sorry, Glacia, but Gallen's busy. Now he is fully managing the company. You'd better go home, maybe sometime you can meet."

Glacia. "But, Om ..."

"Come, Glacia. Gallen just became a director. Don't disturb his focus."

It's totally unpredictable. Glacia flabbergasted in heart. When she finally decided to come here, Glacia desperately denied the fact that there was no sympathy in the eyes of Gallen and his family. The proof, now Edward looked at him lazily as if Glacia was a pest, instead of the man asking about the news after the accident.

"Om, I just want to see Gallen for a second? I want to make sure she's okay? Why hasn't Gallen met me yet? There's no way he doesn't know what I'm in, right?" ask Glacia streak.

"Then what?" todong Edward's. "You want Gallen to stay glued to you and leave his obligations, do you?"

"Omm?"

"From a long time ago you never had a good influence on my son. You who just want to be pampered and noticed next. You think other people don't have any business until you have to keep your importance?"

Truly, Glacia's heart as if stabbed by a dagger got a sentence like just now. During this time Edward treated her well as a lover of his son, despite knowing Glacia was married though.

His status as a wife of men did not immediately make Edward obstruct his relationship with Gallen. But, why did everything now seem to turn around wanting to leave Glacia? Is it because of his feet?

Gallen soon arrives with Jason and some of his co-workers. The man entered from the direction of the lobby door until their eyes immediately crossed as Gallen looked up.

A moment Gallen sculpted to stop the move. The two looked at each other, and Gallen had glanced at Glacia's feet which although it looked beautiful, but seemed useless.

"Glacy?" gallen's Germant unconscious.

"Gallen!"
