Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
50. Apologies

Glacia was silent looking at Narendra's deeply asleep face. The man was treated by a doctor, and his shoulder got a lot of stitches. Glacia gulped back to her madness a few hours ago that almost killed the man. Narendra was lucky enough that it wasn't his head that Glacia had pierced.

He again pensively in silence, until before long the eyes twitched and then opened with a faint blink.

"Glacy .." whispered Narendra. The man woke up, but then grimaced with pain until he lay down again.

Glacia did not react anything, he just stared without even making a sound even though he saw Narendra was conscious. He then pushed back his wheelchair to get out. "I'll call Meredith."

But Narendra called out to him. "Glacy, wait!"

Now the man tried to get up slowly, until finally he could sit down even though he was not so upright. His eyes looked at Glacia who turned back to face him, giving Narendra time to talk.

"Can we talk for a second?"

"Say," said Glacia flat.

That look was so foreign in Narendra's eyes. Narendra seemed to find Glacia in the past when they first met.

"I'm sorry." Narendra. "Because left you too long yesterday. I'm totally wrong for not coming straight for you after getting us a drink."

Glacia fell silent, and Narendra's tips restrained his growing regret. "I'm also sorry I didn't know you were having any unpleasant experiences there. I really didn't think they'd do any of that to you."

Narendra did not know what else to say, especially Glacia's cold gaze that seemed to pierce the deepest part of her heart.

Had Narendra known their relationship would be bad like this, he would have preferred not to attend Lizy's birthday.

"You don't know because you're busy with Lizy." Glacia smiled. He threw his eyes away from Narendra. "I see you" he whispered again. "And I'm increasingly aware that you deserve to be together. I was wrong for having placed my hope in you."

Narendra made a silence.

"It's funny, huh?" Glacia laughed softly. "I forced you to get close to Lizy myself. But thinking you're coming back, my heart doesn't even know itself."

"Indeed, it's most true that we just split up, Naren," continued Glacia. He looked up at Narendra. "Let's get divorced."

Silent. Narendra felt his heart burn to ashes. Glacia's words really made her not wart. Not only was his body stiff, but his mouth froze with a heart that hurt more than a sewing wound on the shoulder.

"I'll ask Papa to prepare our divorce papers" Glacia said.

Narendra nodded slowly. He looked at Glacia pleading with eyes that were somehow already glazed. "Please don't do that, Glacy. We can still fix everything. Give me one more chance, please."

Glacia remained in his stance. His face seemed to confirm that it was his final decision.

"Glacia," please Narendra.

Glacia doesn't ignore it. He pushed his wheelchair out of Narendra's room, causing Narendra, who was still sitting in bed, to rise and run to prevent Glacia.

"Glacia, please, please forgive me. We fix everything together. Give me a chance to convince you again. Please don't divorce. Let's go somewhere else that's just the two of us. We started all over from the beginning. We fix everything that's wrong, Glacy. You can ask me anything as long as it's not a divorce. I beg you not to."

"I love you, Glacia." Narendra's last sentence left Glacia in disbelief. His body froze looking at Narendra who was begging to hug his feet tightly.

"I love you." Narendra. This was the second time Glacia had seen the man cry after being stabbed by a knife earlier.

But even so Glacia did not immediately melt considering he saw himself meeting Narendra and Lizy at the party. They pull over from the crowd to just talk. What are the two talking about until they choose a dark and quiet place from the traffic?

Glacia snorting bland. "Love? You wouldn't leave me if you really cared about me, Naren. Just so you know, my heart was almost numb from that one sickening word. Love never made me happy. Whether it's Gallen or you, you both hurt."

"I'd better bury hope in everyone. Nothing can make me happy except myself."

"I don't know when God will give me life. You know for yourself, right?" whispered Glacia, staring bitterly at Narendra.

Narendra is speechless. Glacia completely closed her heart to him. The thing that Narendra would regret for a lifetime if they were truly separated.

Glacia, why is it so hard for us to be together? Why can't I have you all? When, when will you see my feelings?
