Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
47. Roundups

"What's wrong?" Narendra asked as they were already in a quieter place and away from the crowd.

He looked at Lizy who was looking at him. He asked a little impatiently again. "What do you want to talk about?"

Lizy sighed with a small smile. "I told you this was about your father."

"What's wrong with my dad?" ask Narendra flat.

"Your father's gonna be free soon, you know what?" Lizy looked at Narendra.

Narendra's forehead is certainly wrinkled deep. "You mean?"

"I mean, your dad's gonna be out of jail soon. You know for yourself how it is. He definitely won't let you live quietly after you're free" explained Lizy.

"That's impossible. His prison term is still half a year away" Narendra argued.

But Lizy nodded. "Your father is parole, Naren."

Silent. Lizy observes Narendra's seemingly mundane reaction. The man was still calm even though Lizy was sure he was very surprised.

"Maybe he'll do the same to Glacia, just like he did to me."

Glacia squeezed her dress tightly. He tried to hold back the anger over the treatment of the people to him. Glacia's jaw hardened as those mouths laughed loudly mocking him.

"Hey, you're Glacia, right? Glacia Martadinata?" A man stopped his laughter and asked Glacia. His eyes were staring with two eyebrows raised.

Glacia replied to him with a sharp highlight. While those people were chuckling at Glacia from top to bottom with a trivial look.

"Karma's right to happen, man ..." Another man spoke to his friend. "Before this she was a very arrogant girl. Know it? He's also a cheat. Haha ...."

Everyone laughs. The women who used to feel rivaled suddenly felt jumawa. They mocked him, insulted him, laughed at him. Glacia was really fed up with this situation. He wanted to leave, he hoped Narendra would return quickly.

Glacia lamented that Julian was unable to enter, as only guests who had invitation papers were allowed. If Julian had kept his guard, maybe none of this would have happened. No, if Narendra hadn't left him those people wouldn't have dared to approach him.

Glacia can only be silent when a woman pushes her shoulder using her index finger. The woman looked at the arrogant Glacia with her chin held high. His lips lifted a condescending shimmer. "Hey, bow your gaze. With your condition like this, you're no longer worthy of bragging."

The words were met with another laugh. But that did not necessarily make Glacia dim his sharp gaze. Emotions were already looming in his eyes, he looked at everyone who was currently laughing around him.

"Getting aside, your wheelchair really bothered other people." The woman in front of Glacia kicked her wheelchair until Glacia retreated and hit another human in the back.

"Ups." The man behind Glacia held back his wheelchair, then pushed it back forward.

"Mahaha ...." They all laughed as they managed to play Glacia.

Glacia who could not stand reflexively snatched the glass from the tray of a waiters who happened to pass by then splashed it on one of the women there.

"Aaaa ...!!!" The woman screeched as her faded blue dress was now dirty and wet. He looked at Glacia in anger, but Glacia only replied flatly.

Everyone who had laughed was now looking at him annoyed. Especially the woman and her friend who were now advancing looked furious.

Unexpectedly one of them pushed Glacia hard until her wheelchair rolled and Glacia fell to the floor.

Bruk!

His voice rang out from several sides, including Rafael who had been chatting with Darius and Jemima, Lizy's parents who were also friends of his father and mother.

"The bad boys must be making trouble again." Darius hissed annoyed.

While Rafael, he blinked for a while before then say goodbye to his future father-in-law. "Let me see."

He also went to the scene of the commotion earlier. Jemima rubbed Darius' arm to be more patient and control his emotions. They as hosts are required to remain friendly even though as thick as anything.

"Where's Lizy?" ask Darius. Jemima could not help but stutter because he had seen his daughter approaching Narendra. Jemima knew Lizy still held hope in the young man. But, Darius would definitely not be happy to hear that.

Jemima was the same, he preferred Rafael because the origin of the man was clear and was a distinguished family. Unlike Narendra who is not clear of his family and parents. Yang Jemima knew Narendra's father was a criminal.

But for now, Jemima will keep his mouth shut about Lizy trying to get close to Narendra again, because he doesn't want any commotion in public.

Rafael walked up to the crowd, and was shocked to see Glacia lying on the floor. A few men and women surrounded him with petty looks.

Glacia herself took pains to endure the crying. Ignoring the pain in her arms, Glacia looked up at the two women standing looming before her. They looked at Glacia furiously.

Still with the same problem about dirty clothes. Both of them stared at Glacia sharply while taking a glass belonging to just anyone.

"Based on the ja-lang woman!"

Byurr!

"You okay?" asked the man, before then turning to look at everyone who was now speechless with shocked faces.

Raphael looked at each of the men there, especially the two women he most clearly found snuggling Glacia.

"What the fuck? Don't you have any manners? Where is your conscience!" loudly shouting.

It's the first time Glacia has seen Rafael in angry fashion. Before that, the man looked warm and friendly.

Instead of apologizing, the men snorted and dispersed. They certainly did not dare to fight Rafael the owner of the throne of the largest hospital.

The two women had a rough empty glass in their hands, and they left with stomping steps, leaving Rafael and Glacia in the limelight.

Rafael turned to Glacia who was still sitting on the floor. The woman was holding her right arm which looked in pain. One of Rafael's friends helps justify the overturned wheelchair, while Rafael himself quickly approaches Glacia.

"Your hand hurts?"

Glacia did not answer. Without even answering Rafael would know because he was a doctor. Glacia looked at Rafael's dirty gray suit, surely the man was hit by a wine flush when it blocked him earlier.

"Your book ..."

"Not to think about. Now can I help you sit down?" rafael asked for permission.

Glacia nodded and did not say much when the man grabbed him and raised his body lightly. Rafael sat Glacia in his wheelchair again. They both fell silent for a while before Rafael bade his friend to take Glacia out.

Glacia was still unmoved, not saying much. His hands were squeezing each other over his lap. The incident completely shook his mind in the blink of an eye. He had tried not to cry even though it was difficult to remember his pride was stepped on in such a way.

Glacia rubbed her nose back on the nosebleed. Rafael realizes that, and they stop at the parking lot, right in the courtyard next to the Lizy family residence.

The man took out a handkerchief that was always tucked in his pocket. Rafael used to use it very rarely, but now it feels very useful for Glacia.

Seeing the silenced Glacia holding up the sobs, he himself wiped the blood on the woman's nose. Rafael looked at the woman before him concerned, then noticed a clear blue bruise imprinted on Glacia's upper arm, as well as on some parts of her leg.

"Wait a minute." Rafael ran and disappeared for a moment out of nowhere. He returned with a cold pack of ice and a bottle of minerals in hand.

"Drink first." Rafael unscrewed the bottle cap and handed it to Glacia. Glacia accepted it even though it was a little awkward. He drank the bottle until half was left.

Rafael placed a compress on Glacia's bruised arm.

"Where's your husband?" Glacia came with Narendra.

Glacia who was asked was silent. He didn't know where Narendra was going to take his drinks that long. Realizing that Glacia was reluctant to open her mouth, Rafael chose not to speak anymore.

They were both silent, and Rafael focused on compressing Glacia's arm until the woman coughed to attract his attention.

Rafael pecked when he found blood spots on Glacia's hands. He looked at the woman closely, watching her carefully as he guessed.

The glacia before him looked weak and alarming. His pale face sometimes made Rafael shiver himself. It is clear that the woman's health condition is not okay. Other than her legs, there must be something else that makes her look like an undead.

Ignoring Rafael who was watching him, Glacia's eyes were fixed in a direction in the furthest corner of the dark corridor. Rafael, who realizes Glacia's attention, follows the woman's line of sight.

He was as silent as Glacia when he found two faintly visible silhouettes of men and women in the distance. Despite being dark, Rafael clearly recognizes their posture as Lizy and Narendra.

"Let me take you home" whispered Rafael. He rose up to take Glacia away from there.

But Rafael had not yet reached his car, a man with an anxious face ran up to them.

He was Julian who had been searching for Glacia's whereabouts after hearing the news of the commotion inside the hall. Narendra's assistant gasped for breath as he stopped in front of Rafael and Glacia.

"Mrs, are you okay? Want me to drive you home? I'll call Tuan—"

"No need. I'll just go home with Rafael" whispered Glacia quietly.

His body was still frozen with a blank look staring at his own hands. Rafael who noticed Glacia's bad mood quickly took the woman to his car.

He gave a brief nod as he passed Julian, and they left the party still going on and knew when it would be over.

Along the way, Rafael did not stop glancing at the silenced Glacia. The woman looked out the window with a dreamy look. The reddish bias around the nose and mouth indicates that the nose is quite a lot earlier.

Rafael had tried to hold back and did not want to be curious, but .. his heart still felt pity, and the feeling of wanting to embrace it the more difficult he controlled.

Glacia, why should I have this much interest in you? You're obviously a married woman, and I'm someone's fiancee.

What am I supposed to do, Glacia?
