Serving a Paralyzed Wife

Serving a Paralyzed Wife
83. Manipulatively

Rafael could only flinch as his parents argued scolding him. Wrong again. Rafael is always wrong in their eyes. Whether Rafael does this or that, nothing is right.

"Are you aware that your actions can mess with the company's revenue?! If you keep going like this, we can lose, Rafael!" yelled Satria with a dead red face. "You just keep feeling compassion without thinking about the big impact it could have on our hospitals. When will you grow up?!"

"Papa, that's enough!"

"okay! Keep defending him! Just hold on to your son, Mina!"

Mina sobbed as her husband again snapped at her. Satria even brushed off her hand trying to embrace calmed the man down. While Rafael, he breathed out slowly. His face looked flat and calm, as if indifferent but also looked tired at times.

"The job of a doctor is to help heal one's health. No matter the person is in financial trouble or not, we as doctors still have to put lives first. We are medical personnel who provide health facilities. That is why the presence of a doctor is so important. We are needed, society needs us. So, is ignoring those who already believe in us the right thing to do?"

Satria hissed annoyed. His fingers pointed at Rafael as if he were the dumbest human he had ever met. "This. It's your mindset like this that keeps you from going forward! Right, we are medical personnel who provide health facilities. But all of that can't be free of cost! Want as small as anything, want as big as anything, both nominal is very influential on internal finance! If you want to take care of a patient without being paid, volunteer!"

The breath of Satria was hunting full of emotion. "You always make trouble. Last you made go of some of our potential investors! Then now, you are disappointing our VVIP patients for preferring surgery patients can not afford! Are you deliberately trying to bankrupt our family?"

Raphael was wasting his breath tired. He looked up, looking back at the angry Satria. "I know, I also think about our hospital's internal finances. I think about the smallest amount of income. Even when I help people, I keep thinking about it. Does Papa know how tortured I am with that?"

"All patients are the same, they both need help. There are those who have more costs, they we prioritize, and the rest we still facilitate well."

"Papa should have asked me more specifically. I'm not without reason to change the operating schedule. I put one of my patients first for careful consideration. Which one should come first, and which one we can make waiting. Of course I'm not looking at how much he has money, but how severe the condition is in his body."

"Papa doctor, right? Papa should have the same thoughts as me, instead of continuing to think about the material." Rafael stood up, looking straight at his parents. "And learn to be a man. Because a real man will never hurt a woman" he continued, glancing at the mother who also looked back at him full of haru.

Rafael knows Mina has always been saddened by the state of her family. Children and husbands who always fight and disagree. Mina as a wife and a mother are required to mediate both.

After saying that Rafael left, ignoring the cries of Satria Adiwangsa who exclaimed emotion calling out to him.

"Raphel! Rafael, where are you going?! Don't make Papa ashamed again! Your fiancee hasn't even been found yet! Raphael!!!"

Rafael remained unmoved and walked straight out of the house. He got into his car and drove the vehicle fast, making two guards standing on either side of the gate pull over. They were surprised, although this was not the first time Rafael was upset by his own father.

"Damn it! Basic embarrassing! That woman is the same! Cunning fox masked donkey!"

Mina was still trying to calm Satria's anger. She grabbed the husband's arm again and said. "Have Mama said, someone who looks good is not necessarily good. Now Papa regrets to betroth them because our good name is dragged along with the sloping news about Eliza."

Mina shakes. "It's not so, Pa. Stop scolding Rafael. He's grown up, knows what to do and what not to do. He also always thinks about risk before acting. All his actions are not without reason. Papa heard it for himself, right?"

"Whatever! The child remains weak to empathy!"

In the Martadinata mansion, tension was no less engulfing. Since the news of the disappearance of one of the servants there, various hypotheses regarding the prediction of the disappearance of Vienna continue to spread from mouth to mouth, from one ear to another. All expressed their own assumptions and reasons that are still unclear.

John himself was confused by the chaotic circumstances of his home. Not yet finished Glacia problem, now the existence of his servant also invited a question. He as the head of the family certainly can not be immediately silent.

Even though John's head was almost broken, responsibility was still responsibility. John is an employer who certainly plays an important role with this problem. However Vienna was the servant who followed Glacia from Narendra's house. And now that Vienna is gone, of course John has a responsibility for it.

John had discussed with Narendra about this, but he understood when the son-in-law's response was likely to be indifferent. Narendra must still be worried about Glacia after the kidnapping incident.

John does not know, Narendra's attitude is so because he was really lazy, he himself made Lizy and Vienna disappear from circulation. Until now, the two women are still struggling to face the torment of Narendra who does not play games.

But something strange has been troubling John since yesterday. It's about dozens of bodies found in the woods. John had just been informed that those killed were Glacia abductees.

Of course, this fact would not make John think hard. Other facts came later. In essence, all of those problems are interrelated.

John looked down at the table in front of him. Beside him, Fin stood with a polite gesture and was disinclined as usual.

He also expressed his opinion. "Sir, do you also think this is all related to Mr Narendra?"

John thought silently. "Eitherway. I don't know if I should blame or justify his actions. His attitude was based on a sense of care for Glacia. Either I have to be vigilant or thank him. The fact that my son-in-law is scary enough worries me a little. Not just Glacia, but I'm more worried about her because she's starting to get into a dangerous world."

Fin understands. Everything that has Wiranata's interference is indeed dangerous. However, their heirs cannot be separated from the mafia network which reportedly still stands in secret.

"Whether it's obsession or love, the longer I don't recognize Narendra. Know it? I just realized that he's manipulative" continued John.

In the middle of their conversation, John's cell phone ring caught the attention. Narendra's name floated above the screen. Fin and John had thrown each other a glance, before then John received the call.

"Hello? What's up, Naren?"

There was a pause before Narendra's voice could be heard. "Papa, can I make a request?"
